Beeped, clicked, and then just died. I'm very disappointed, especially how I'm loosing $20 to Newegg just to ship it back and forth (shipping is not refunded). Since this was Newegg's last piece in stock, I wonder if they just shipped my a refurbished/damaged one. See the video. Did you find this review helpful? Cons: Wish it didn't need external power, but I knew it did going in, so no need to deduct for it. Other Thoughts: I would definitely buy another Fantom Drive. I had never heard of them, but so far so good. One thing I did notice that is a little interesting is that the end of the USB 3.0 cable that attaches to the drive is very different from all the USB 3.0 WD exteranls I have. Pros: Quiet, quick (even on usb 2.0), the power switch in the back makes turning off the drive during downtime easy. Cons: None. Other Thoughts: Having not invested in a Fantom Drive previously I'm quiet impressed with the overall quality and reliability of the drive.
