1 out of 5 eggsYep, it's refurbished

Pros: Fast Drive.

Cons: Died just after the 90 day period. Made some weird noises for a couple of nights before, then one morning... gone. Lost some of my work. Now I know, don't buy refurbished drives no matter how good the deal. The real slap in the face is that if the thing had died just two weeks earlier I might have been able to replace it... or at the very least get credit toward buying a new one.

Other Thoughts: Lesson learned, don't buy refurbished drives. I took my chances with this one, made sure to only put programs on it and not personal data. Unfortunately I had a few things in my documents that hadn't been backed up and that stuff is gone for good. I won't be doing this again.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Worth It.

Pros: None, unfortunately.

Cons: Failed within 2 weeks of "use"

Other Thoughts: I bought this drive about a month ago, and it sat around a couple weeks because I was moving and didn't have a spare SATA cable. Hooked it up, everything recognized, etc. Put my wallpapers on it, maybe 2GB, and that's it. Today I go to move Steam onto the drive. 46GB of game files. Transfer goes fine, or so I thought. Windows tells me 5mins later drive is reporting problems. Now I can't move the files back off the drive.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 6 Months

Pros: Worked fine for first six months.

Cons: Dead after just 6 months of VERY light use. I was using this as a media drive in a PIVOS AIOS media center it never got moved around bumped hard or anything to cause it to fail.

Other Thoughts: Please listen to the reviews like I didn't and stay away from this product. I'm out 110$ bucks now.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for Refurb

Pros: -Worked perfectly from day one, no issues with installing an operating system or storing files
-Came in excellent condition, no scratches or dents

Cons: -No SATA cables included, but that was expected due to refurb

Other Thoughts: An excellent buy for anyone who wants to save a little money and still have a top of the line HDD in their system. Newegg does a wonderful job of making sure their refurbished items are in good condition, will definitely look into other refurbished products by Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Recognized right away and working great.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I've only had it for a few days so the long term reliability has yet to be tested.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed

Pros: 7200rpm and 64mb cache when works

Cons: Bought it at the end of Feb and it died at the end of July, that's 5 months of light use (it was the C drive of my parent's PC). HDD didn't give any warning signs of failure either so I didn't know better to make any backups, now I have tons of pictures lost forever.
WD used to be my go-to brand for HDDs, but not anymore. Currently I have two WD Green drives failing on me and this Black one has just suddenly died. Very disappointing.

Other Thoughts: I would stay away from WD hard drives, especially the refurbished ones
