1 out of 5 eggsJunk - what else can i call them

Pros: Pretty label!!!

Cons: Bought 3 of them - only one worked. Drives were not being recognized. Spent a lot of time trying to get them working.
Was going to try warranty but read in other review - no warranty.

Other Thoughts: WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

4 out of 5 eggsA little glitch

Pros: Inexpensive, works (see other thoughts). May buy again

Cons: A little info would have been nice.

Other Thoughts: The drive I received works fine -- NOW. I'm using this to clone a SSD of the same capacity, so that recovery can be quick. After cloning, the drive would ask that I install some file for Win 2K. (I'm using Win 7Pro.) After much trial and error, formatting, wiping, etc. I came to the conclusion that the drive had a hidden Protected Partition, and WIn 2K had been installed there. Final solution was to format with Ubuntu LTS with file system of EXT__. This cleaned off the Protected Partition, then I reformatted yet again, with NTFS, cloned the drive, and then everything works fine. The tip-off was that after my first few formatting attempts, the remaining capacity was always lower than anticipated (even taking into account 1024 vs 1000).

Those that are familiar with Protected Partitions may laugh at my problems, but I offer this to those who, like myself, had never dealt with such things. Hope this is helpful to a few folks.

A note of some sort enclosed with the drive stating that the drive might have Protected Partition(s) would have saved me a whole bunch of time.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing quality

Pros: Was 15 bux...=+1 egg

As stated by others it was an enterprise class drive = +1 egg

Makes a fantastic nvidia shadowplay/HD editing drive = +1 egg

Arrived in a day despite economy shipping at no charge = +1 egg

Cons: I had to reinstall my entire 4 year old, 6 disk array because as it turns out..a power cable became unplugged from an SSD, while i was trying to fit this bad boy in my tiny liquid cooled case...But that's not the drives fault.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Manufacture date of 2011 on the drive I received, was on sale for $14, only had 30 power ons and just over 3 year power on hours. Passes S.M.A.R.T

Cons: Mine had some writer errors.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good deal.

4 out of 5 eggsRefurbished: WD RE3 WD2502ABYS

Pros: Cheap for 250GB "Enterprise Storage" Drives

Cons: Not sure if these are truly "Refurbished" or simply "used".
The "Power on Time" for the 2 purchased show 3.19yrs. I have purchased other "Refurbished" hard drives and their Power on Times had been reset? to 0.
These run hotter then other drives. Run over 40c. I typically look for temps just over 30c (heat shortens life)

Other Thoughts: New these drives come with 5yr warranty if not "sold to a system manufacturer." They are dated Feb 2011. So, theoretically they would be under original warranty..but WD shows these as "sold to a system manufacturer"
They are not stamped Refurbished as other drives I have purchased are. So again, I wonder if they are simply used.
For the money, and if safely used. These can be a good deal. I use mine for 2nd "Backup" drives in systems.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ordered three, none were DOA. One even had extremely low power-on hours (around 600).

Cons: One threw a warning for high reallocated sector count. Shouldn't be a problem though.
