WD WD Black WD2002FAEX 2TB 7200 RPM RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

Pros: It's a fast 7200rpm drive. I like the read/write speed.

Cons: It's hot. I have it in a NAS enclosure with a fan. I'm afraid it's may get damaged. So hot it's hard to hold onto it.
I am going to move it to a usb docking station but that defeats the drive speed.

Pros: It's fast and works just fine. Doesn't appear to be noisy. I have it in a 4 drive external unit.

Pros: This is a great drive, good price... if it is DOA just do the RMA process and Western Digital will replace the drive, no problem. Also MAKE SURE you have a mirror backup because all drives, even of the great Western Digital (which I feel is superior to Seagate) will eventually die. This model is much capacity as the most popular hard drive model, the WD1002FAEX.

Cons: Frustrating, I know, if your drive is DOA but just make sure you go through the RMA process and trade up for a working one. Also, make sure you have a mirror backup of the same model, otherwise you are asking for trouble when the inevitable happens (hard drive failure, motherboard or power supply failure.)

Other Thoughts: Nice and fast, just make sure you RMA if it is DOA, and make sure you have a mirror backup of the same model. If you cant buy another identical drive right away, save up and get one. You wont regret it.

Cons: bad HDD out the box lags and hangs up, one egg for this product and one egg for newegg for making me pay $10 for the ups label for return shipping for an item that never worked. if this post isnt displayed ill repost on resellerratings.com

Other Thoughts: ill stick to the competition where prices are cheaper and RMAs for defection are free and where the competitions name isnt considered a bad word on their websites
