5 out of 5 eggsWD Blue 320GB 5400 RPM 8MB cache SATA 6.0 notebook HD

This review is from: WD Blue WD3200LPVX 320GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: It works without fail going on almost two years.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: The laptop that I bought this for died so I popped it into my desktop as a FRAPS recording drive. It stores huge amounts of FRAPs video content for my video editing. It works great.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: WD Blue WD3200LPVX 320GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: OK what would you like to hear? This HD works & spin's like it is suppose to. Spin is 5400 RPM, some people complain about the slower rate of data transfer compared to a 3.5 HD that spins at 7200 RPM. Not that noticeable to me. You can always get a 2.5 WD drive that spins at 10,000 RPM or invest in an enterprise-grade 15,000 RPM SAS hard drive. Or just get an SSD, the prices have dropped on them & will drop more.

Cons: Nada

Other Thoughts: I put this in a Old (2007) HP Ultra Slim line comp to replace a 160GB WD drive. The old drive still works and no signs of it dying anytime soon.

4 out of 5 eggsWD - good

This review is from: WD Blue WD3200LPVX 320GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: No problems at all. Great, reliable, always go for WD.

Cons: Reason for HDD price- 5400 RPM / 320gb, a little pricy I think, but it was replacing a drive.

Other Thoughts: No complaints - used to replace a harddrive- does the job well.

5 out of 5 eggsWD3200LPVX

This review is from: WD Blue WD3200LPVX 320GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Affordable!

Cons: I bought it when it wasn't on sale.

Other Thoughts: My original drive was continuously failing, which was only 80 GB. I bought this, which was a nice upgrade in storage capacity and as soon I finished installation, and turned the laptop on, the BIOS recognized the drive and I was able to install windows without any problems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

This review is from: WD Blue WD3200LPVX 320GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Threw this in a laptop as a replacement and no problems yet. Detection was automatic and read/write speeds are right on with manufacture claims.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: I don't see a use for mechanical hard drives in the near future because SSD's are cheaper to manufacture but for now you can't beat the cost.
