4 out of 5 eggsGood drives

Pros: Great initial price for a refurbished drive
No problems with any of the drives

Cons: I guess I didn't buy enough

Other Thoughts: These drives work great. They are like new. I ordered a a few of them. I was going to order more but now the price is up $10 more dollars. C'mon Newegg! $50 for a refurbished 1TB is ridiculous. Keep them at $39 and I'll buy more.

5 out of 5 eggsReferbished items work good

Pros: When the drive arrived "no media" was the error displayed. With too many years of experience telling me there was hope. There was communication between items before the error would display. I saw the communication watching the access light when I would insert it in my 2.5/3.5" sled type docking station. I was able to see it in Win. and immediately formatted it through Computer, Manage, and format the drive using the console.
So I'm using it in an portable enclosure, just as planned.

Cons: don't give up easily

5 out of 5 eggsLearning experience

Pros: Learning experience. I refuse to believe the unit arrived DOA and I'm experimenting using external adapters to experiment / learn how to use external adapters to access the drive.

Cons: This is the first time I experienced difficulty after a multitude of successful purchases. I believe the problem lies with my attempt at installing an internal drive in an external enclosure.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great on my PS3.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: This has nothing to do with the drive, but the PS3. I would like to make it known that the PS3's Restore Utility doesn't work well. If you have certain games in your Game Data Utility, the backup only restores save data, profiles, and media, essentially invalidating all backups made like that.
What needs to be done is before making the backup, delete Game Data for Uncharted 1, 2, 3, and betas, Read Dead Redemption, GTA IV, V Warhawk, & Eyecreate Game and Game Data.

Also the PS3 still has issues with the PSN Store crashing, it happened with the original HDD as well.

5 out of 5 eggsWD Blue 1TB

Pros: Small, light, compatible with external HDD, and Xbox One for extra space

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Works Great. This is the second refurbished HDD I bought with no issues out of the box. I use one in the desktop, and the other is being used as extra space on my Xbox One in an external HDD case.
