1 out of 5 eggsWOW, Maybe the worst purchase ever

This review is from: My Cloud Business Series DL4100 4-Bay Pre-configured 24 TB NAS with Intel processor

Pros: None

Cons: Bricked in 10 minutes. Device started fine, updated firmware, went into suspend mode and then died. Tried to reset...nothing. On/Off light blinks. I've opened case with WD Support. Let's hope Support can change my opinion.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsOut of Area

This review is from: My Cloud Business Series DL4100 4-Bay Pre-configured 24 TB NAS with Intel processor

Pros: Fast, silent. I was impressed with the easy set up.

Cons: When I registered the WDmyclouddl4100, it said, "out of area", but still lists an area. About 3 weeks, It took a long time to boot, but came up. It now lists the drive status as unknown although it appears to be working well.

Other Thoughts: At first, it was an easy set up, it ran great, but the "out of area" and drive status unknown bothers me.

5 out of 5 eggsOps Continuation of Fantastic

This review is from: My Cloud Business Series DL4100 4-Bay Pre-configured 24 TB NAS with Intel processor

Pros: I hit [CR] too soon on the first review The WD 4100 series is the quietest and smoothest of any multi disk servers I've seen.
Setup is fast and easy as is setting up shares. Just set up the share as a network drive on the selected computer(s)
Backup of drives, computers, timed computer, and systems is much quicker than even USB3. I'm short on superlatives to describe the WD 4100 series. I'm impressed

Cons: Quick start needs to give an example of logging in from a computer and setting up the share as a network drive although that is minor

Other Thoughts: The WD 4100 series is the quietest and smoothest of any multi disk servers I've seen. Setup is fast and easy as is setting up shares. Just set up the share as a network drive on the selected computer(s), but Quick start needs to give an example of logging in from a computer and setting up the share as a network drive although that is minor. OTOH anyone needing a server like this is likely to know what should be done

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

This review is from: My Cloud Business Series DL4100 4-Bay Pre-configured 24 TB NAS with Intel processor

Pros: Fast, silent, smooth, easy set up, easy share creation,
Set up with the ability to rebuild a failed drive. I figure if 2 drives failed I'd have more problems than rebuilding a drive

Cons: None as yet

Other Thoughts: With photography and large TIFs
