No tools required. (This is assuming you are installing them in a HP server.) Cons: Price. They are expensive when compared to a similar size consumer class drive. Other Thoughts: I purchased 8 of these to install in a HP Proliant server I was upgrading. They have been running for about 6 weeks now with no issues. These are server drives.
