Pros: so, I travel a ton for corporate clients, shoot video footage, and unload to hard drives for editing. it's of utmost importance that the data i download is secure and backed up because, needless to say, if it gets damaged/erased/etc, i am dead. have learned my lesson after multiple portable hard drives have gone down due to drive failure from shipping drives or packing them (in what I thought) was secure/safe padded suitcases. i will only use rugged drives now designed to withstand impact since, on the go, a million things can happen to put your data in danger. i used to use LaCie rugged drives, but this ioSafe leave the LaCie's in the dust. I NEVER have to worry about being "too rough" with it when packing or traveling. It's slightly heavier than the LaCie but the added protection from it is SO worth it when the data you are safeguarding is mission critical, like mine is. PLUS you get a year free of data recovery up to a couple thousand dollars, which is amazeballs.
