Clone product?
- Pros: Was looking to replace my DSM-G600 since it's so buggy. This unit seemed to provide nearly the same features.
- Cons: Less features than the DSM-G600 (no WPA2 encryption, no gigabit).
- Other Thoughts: I think this product is a clone of the D-Link DSM-G600 since the
"emulator" software on their website shows the software to be nearly identical. Did not purchase since it's the same product.
Works like I hoped it would
- Pros: Fairly easy/intuitive to set up and configure, thankfully (see 'Cons' below); quiet, well made.
- Cons: The directions for the wireless setup were pretty abysmal. Luckily it wasn't too tough to figure out.
A bit on the pricey side, but so far it seems worth it.
- Other Thoughts: IDE only - no SATA; no big deal, but it would've been nice to have more HDD options. Paired it up with a ATA133 Hitachi Deskstar and it is pretty quick, throughput-wise.
