  • newegg Keys to success Work smarter not harder. Set up the Intuos4 ExpressKeys to activate your own unique, time-saving shortcuts and modifiers in each of your applications. With Intuos4, remembering your shortcut settings is now as easy as casting a quick glance at the tablet. Each ExpressKey is now equipped with an accompanying illuminated display, providing a constant reminder of the Keys application-specific function.
  • newegg Speed Ring The finger-sensitive Touch Ring allows you to control up to four different functions in each application for on the fly adjustments such as zooming, scrolling, brush size, canvas rotation, and more.
  • newegg Left, right, left The innovative, ambidextrous design of Intuos4 allows you to maximize the productivity of both your hands. 5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tablet

Pros: - Huge working area
- Very good pressure sensitivity
- Feature rich (tons of extra buttons you can map)

Cons: - This thing is LARGE if you don't like that

Other Thoughts: Referring to my con, be aware of just how large this is. I wasn't quite expecting it to be this large, but it's ok for me so far. It can be quite cumbersome if you enjoy sitting back and using the tablet on your lap since it is quite large.

5 out of 5 eggsVery big

Pros: Very large. Plenty of real estate to work with.
Many options and different tips. More than I have been able to test thus far.
Relatively easy to use.

Cons: Not much really. Don't like the mouse much, but it is ok.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Big Tablet

Pros: HUGE working area, side buttons are actually useful, sleek design, highly functional. Awesome upgrade from my Medium intuos 2.

Cons: it's freakin' HUGE, measure your work area before you buy it. It's barely portable, if you plan on moving it, get the travel case. I have no idea why anyone would need an extra large.

Other Thoughts: It's massive size is both a pro and con, seriously, it's bigger than you think, take measurements first.

5 out of 5 eggsThrow your mouse away immediately.

Pros: High quality materials, fit and finish is very good despite being made in China, software and hardware are both a clear leap from previous generations of Intuos tablets. This product is a pretty clear winner.

Cons: None so far. I bought this over a far cheaper Adesso or other brand of tablet because of the resolution. Between 512 and 2048 pressure sensitivity levels, I don't think you will be able to tell the difference (press down... OK now press down 1/512th harder), but I read a review of the Adesso unit saying that the lower amount of resolution lines on the tablet lead to poor drawing quality. If I wanted a toy I would've spent $60 on the Bamboo. The big con to the Intuos is the price, but for people who refuse to sacrifice quality I guess they can charge whatever they want.

Other Thoughts: I think that everybody should be using a tablet of some sort. I use this one for general input most of the time. I'll do maybe 10 hours of illustration per month, over the course of two days, and for that I'll probably plug my Cintiq in anyways. The reason I got this is because I don't want to blow out my wrists. If you use the computer for more than two or three hours a day, don't be lazy, get one of these and save yourself some pain.

I also have an older Cintiq 21UX. If you are using this for hobby illustration or general input, the Intuos tablet is fine. If you are a professional illustrator using the device 5-10 hours per day for intense illustration work, you must save up for the Cintiq. It makes all the difference in the world. The flipside is, the Cintiq is absolutely not what you want if you are using this to replace your mouse. It's awkward and clumsy for general input, and only makes sense if you have the desk space and are concentrating on one computing task.

5 out of 5 eggsIntuos 4 = Fantastic!

Pros: Pen and tablet allow pressure, and tilt sensitive drawing. Works amazing with Corel Painter 11. This is a real graphic artist's tool. I can see why so many magazines and websites have given it such great reviews.

By the way, that nut that gave this product one star because he could find it cheaper on another site is acting like a rotten little brat. These reviews are to rate the product, not for childish hissy fits.

Cons: Unfortunately, this company is following the trend of not sending a comprehensive instruction booklet.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend that the eraser button be replaceable in the next iteration. I also wish that it came with the 'Artist's' pen, that allows for Turn sensitivity, not that this pen's features are minimal. It's just that, for the price, you think that it would have been the pen that was sent with this tablet.

Pros: none

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This is an excellent drawing tablet!! How ever there is one thing I cannot understand. Why or how can New Egg charge 50 dollars more than what the official Wacom store sells the same tablet for. Check around on the internet for the best price. I just bought one for a hundred dollars less than Wacom sells it for

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, but ...

Pros: Great product. Works exactly as described.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Wow! Newegg is selling this one for $80 more than the Wacom direct website, which has it for $469. What's that all about?!

5 out of 5 eggsSimplply outstanding...

Pros: I have been an Intuos3 (9x12) owner for years, I still use it at work to be price, however when I first learned about the Intuos4 and its improvements from the previous platform I decided invest for one to use on my home office. This piece of technology is quantum leap in improvements from it predecessors. Beautiful yet functional LED Displays, touch will, etc.

Cons: I have absolutely nothing bad to write about it, I am even laughing at comments about getting marked by fingers?, what do you expect? This is a tool for the craft and it will get marked by our oily finger so get over it.

Other Thoughts: This is a very decent size for any illustrator or basically any digital artist. I am currently running on Windows Vista Home Premium with Dual Monitor setup and the table works across perfectly. Just make sure you have a dedicated space for it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice to have

Pros: Slim design, feels solid, highly customizabile

Cons: Attracts finger prints (tablet itself), even worse is the pen rubber coating. It's comfortable to hold the pen, but it just stick with every dust particle around.
Also express keys are hard to press - very hard, did not it expected at all, sometimes I prefer using keyboard simultaneously when working with tablet, only because I know I can press keys effortlesly.

Other Thoughts: Glad I took L size, because I had some other thoughts initially. Now working is comfortable, even if the tablet takes pretty much of space on my table. Overall feeling is that it's a very solid product. BTW, i bought it from Germany via internet - the package I've ordered does not contain Intuos mouse, but I don' needed it anyway. My price was 469 EUR, pretty costy.
