With Bamboo's Multi-Touch, you'll use simple hand gestures and finger taps to move around your desktop, scroll through documents, navigate the web, zoom in and out of photos, and rotate images. And because the active area on a Bamboo is larger than one on a traditional mobile device or laptop trackpad, it's comfortable and natural to use. Speaking of comfort, a pen tablet can help if you've experienced wrist pain from prolonged computer use.

Bamboo works with your existing computer: desktop or laptop. Sleek and black, the tablet makes for a stylish addition to your workspace. Attach Bamboo to a standard USB port, set it comfortably by your keyboard, and let your intuition guide you.

  • newegg Intuitive Multi-Touch Input The two sensors equipped Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch Tablet is designed and optimized for both Multi-Touch and pen input. With Multi-Touch function, you can use a single finger to navigate or multiple fingers for gestures. Use finger gestures to scroll, zoom, rotate, and go backward or forward.
  • newegg Precise, Comfortable Pen Input The ergonomically-designed pen fits comfortably in your hand, the pressure-sensitive pen tip is ideal for natural pen and brush strokes, and the tablet's textured work surface makes you feel like you're working with a pen on paper.
  • newegg Step into the Multi-Touch Easily Using Multi-Touch on Bamboo is easy, even if you're new to the touch experience. The included tutorial will teach you how to use simple hand gestures to move around your desktop, make selections, and complete other tasks on your computer. You can even customize your Bamboo experience by assigning your own shortcuts to the four ExpressKeys.
  • newegg Added Value The included software is an incredible value, including the Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 Win/6.0 Mac for editing, retouching, enhancing and sharing digital photos, and Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0 WE3 for selectively applying lighting and photo enhancements with the pen.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty awesome.

Pros: It's a great product. It's very responsive and works well in OS X and Windows 7. The four buttons on the tablet and two on the pen are completely customizable, you can set them for just about any key or key combination.

There's also a nice little loop to hold the pen. That's nice. Otherwise, I think I would have lost the pen.

Cons: None I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Not sure how useful you'll find that Bamboo dock program that comes bundled. But some of the games were fun to play.

More importantly, if you're on the fence about the added touch feature. I would think twice. Using the tablet as a touch pad is nice, but I don't find myself using the touch pad features that often. You might just be as happy with the pen-only Bamboo tablet.

5 out of 5 eggsSIMPLY AMAZING

Pros: I love the drawing abilities with this amazing device. I've never really used a tablet before, but it works like a dream. Its a little hard to get used to at first, but after a while, its like second nature.

Cons: None what-so-ever!

5 out of 5 eggsShould Have Bought This Sooner

Pros: I've only had this tablet a short time, but in that time I only have one regret..... that I didn't buy this thing years ago. So far it is simply fantastic.
I'm running it on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and works perfect. It worked by simply plugging it in, but the drivers naturally add more features. The tablet is very responsive with both pen and touch with no lag at all.
I bought this lower end model to give a tablet a try and if it is this good at this level I can only imagine what a higher quality and more feature rich tablet would deliver.

Cons: I was thinking that it would be better for the wire to come out of the top, but then a left-hand orientation would have the wire coming out the bottom, so out the side is the best place.
The only other slight con is the cloth tab used to hold the pen when not in use. I would have preferred a hard clip or something a bit easier to clip the pin to, but this is a very small con.

Other Thoughts: This is a great "starter tablet" for those wanting to give them a try. You can by cheaper units, but I fear that those cheaper units would not be built with the same high quality or work near as well as this one does.

5 out of 5 eggsUse Wacom

Pros: Best drawing and painting utensil for the price

The additional touch feature is nice when or if you don't have a mouse

4 customizable buttons on the tablet, two on the pen

Cons: The multitouch on the tablet isn't the greatest, but thats not what this thing is made for

Other Thoughts: New Egg got this to me in 26 hours, and cheaper than any retail store could have offered it, props to them

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I got this tablet for my digital art hobby, and it works great. First of all it comes with PSE 8, which is great because that is about an $80 piece of software on its own. For drawing purposes this tablet works great: you can easily configure the pen to get it to have the exact feel you want it to have. It still is a bit of jump from paper and pencil, but it's not all that difficult: 4 hours after setting it up I had already completed a decent digital landscape drawing.

It's easy to set up and get running: just load the software, plug it in and it's ready to go.

The device itself is very lightweight and the pen is a comfortable size: from the pictures it looked like it might be a bit on the thick side, but after actually using it I have no problem with the pen.

The device has four buttons on it which you can link to just about anything. It also has two buttons on the pen itself which can be programed to whatever you like.

Cons: The way the tablet stores the pen is with this small cloth loop sticking out of the one end of the tablet. This is a mediocre means of storage because it's not a very fast way of storing the pen. I've read that the generation of tablets before this one had a small magnetic stand for the pen which was nice, and it's disapointing to see that go. When I first got the tablet the cloth loop was very stiff and it made it difficult to get the pen inside, but it has loosened over time with use, so it works but I am just not very fond of it.

Also another weird thing is that, if you intend to use this device with Windows XP be aware that it wanted to replace some basic mouse drivers on the computer with its own software. I believe that this is so that the touch features will work. This doesn't mess anything up on the computer, but I still felt uneasy about letting it just replace basic software like that. NOTE: It does not do this with Windows 7.

Both of the cons are easy to overlook.

Other Thoughts: Overall this device was perfect for me: I am just an art hobbyist with a small budget, and this device fits my needs perfectly.

There is the Bamboo dock that comes with it which is a pretty useless piece of software. It just clutters the desktop and takes up space.

The two keys on the pen felt awkward to use at first, but I got used to them quickly and now I find them quite handy.

The touch features don't all work on XP for me: The multitouch zoom was erratic and the multitouch rotate didn't work at all, but this is only because I was using it on an old Windows XP computer: everything worked find on Windows 7.

The PSE 8 software UI isn't the greatest: I've used CS5 before and it's much easier to use. But it still works fine, and the fact that it comes as a free bonus software to a great piece of equipment makes any complaints about it kind of silly.

Overall I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good tablet for a great price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat drawing Tablet

Pros: works great fast respond time and just all around good tablet, i use it for drawing with autodesk and photshop all the time with no problems

Cons: the usb wire is sorta short and sucks but you get used to it and turning it using the tablet with your fingers sorta stinks

Other Thoughts: overall great product plan on buying the large wacom bamboo fun pen and touch in the future or maybe an intuos, love drawing and touching up my art with it

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price!

Pros: -Cheap and affordable.
-Customizable buttons (to be expected with a tablet)
-Comes with extra nibs (tip of the pen)
-Doesn't lag up while doing gestures.
-Software easy to install
-Everyone loves USB
-Comes with a little strap of fabric on the right side that is like a sleeve to hold your pen keeping it close to your tablet at all times when not using it!

Cons: If you are drawing say in Photoshop and you flip the pen with one hand from the eraser to the nib sometimes it creates a little dot on your drawing. You then either have to erase it or undo it. It doesn't happen often and flipping the pen slower helps.. Not a HUGE deal but a bit annoying at times. Disabling the buttons on the pen itself does nothing to help it either.

Other Thoughts: Definitely would recommend! Great for the price, having a blast with it. The wire comes out of the left side of the tablet so keep that in mind if you decide to purchase. Not sure how comfortable it would be for a left handed person. I love the strap on the right side that holds the pen. Don't know how well it will stay in there if someone wants to take it with them and it jostles around a lot but it suits my purpose at my desktop computer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, Free Photoshop Elements 8

Pros: -Works well
-Surprised with PSE 8 (Not 9 but still great)
-Great Price
-Buttons
-Sensitive

Cons: -Too Small for a dual screen setup, The slightest movement moves my cursor like a 10th way across the screens... But this can be disabled to only one monitor
-Pen eraser seems a bit too block like

Other Thoughts: Its great for the price

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well but software is old

Pros: The touch controls work well and the pen is smooth. The size is nice, not too big but not too small and it's good looking

Cons: Part of the reason I paid the extra $30 for this model was it comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements BUT it's version 7... come on Wacom, current that's 2 versions old! Don't play games with your customers, I would have applied that $30 toward the purchase of vs 9 had I known.

Other Thoughts: Wireless would be nice - and yes for the price it's not unreasonable. A good cordless mouse can be had for under $30, why isn't this wireless at $100?
