5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tablet

Pros: Great tactile feel, relatively small so it can fit easily in a 15" laptop carry bag or backpack. Thin, light, ergonomic, and expandable.

Cons: Pen does not have an eraser (get the LP140ES if you want that). Wireless module is sold separately. Does not come with a case.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great bargain tablet with a response and accuracy equivalent to the older Intous 3 series. The pen tips wear, true, but much slower than say a real pen or pencil would (thank goodness). Never the less, the contact and feel for light or hard pressure, is spot on and therefore requires the friction that wears out the tips eventually. While some complain about burning through tips, I've never had that problem however I use these for design drawings, not artistic painting with a lot of repetitious scrubbing.

Overall I am very happy with the package. I purchased the wireless module (which also works great), and the aforementioned LP170ES pen which works perfectly in OS X and in Windows on a dual boot MacBook Pro retina.

2 out of 5 eggsOh boy

Pros: Its a solid little unit. Well designed. neat texture on the buttons. It works well as a giant touch pad.

Cons: I bought a Intuos4 several years ago that I was super happy with, but the mouse broke and doesn't work well with windows 8. So I opted to get a new cheaper version, and the Bamboo Create seemed like a good option.
The cord is a joke. The intuos came with like 3 cords, all of them were like 6 feet long. The bamboo comes with one stubby cord, I can barely use the device without buying their wireless system.
The pen takes a irritating amount of time to respond to a swipe.
A bunch of bloat wear comes with it. Why can't companies just give us the driver and forget about all the other stuff we don't want. I don't want your weak apps.

I'll probably return this. grr

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Tablet

Pros: - Packaging was very professional, unboxing it was half the fun, aha.
- Very simple to setup and install, no issues with drivers or anything like that.
- The features that come with this tablet and the advanced preferences really allow you to make this tablet your own, the possibilities are endless.
- The cord length was perfect, it also comes with extra pen tips.
- I thought the pen holder strap on the side was nifty, definitely a plus when it comes to storage.
- It comes with Sketch Book Express (on a disk you can optionally install), which I thought was great in case you don't have a drawing program yet; you're fairly good to get into graphics right out of the box!
- Overall I've been using this on and off for the past few months, and everything has been perfectly stable, both the software and the product itself, I see this tablet lasting me many years to come.

Cons: - The nibs are pretty tough for the tablet itself, but I see no reason for a beginner to go out of their way to get some fancy pen tips; just use what you've got.

Other Thoughts: - For what it is, I find it hard to be disappointed with this product, it's truly great. I've seen some reviews list cons such as 'not slipper enough for finger use', well, if you wash your hands and aren't sweating, you shouldn't have a problem. I've also read about some driver issues and what not, and to say the least, if your computer is healthy, virus free, and up to date, you're not going to have a problem installing and setting up this tablet, there's no doubt. Definitely worth buying, hands down, I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get into tablet drawing/designing.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst piece of junk ever

Pros: Still haven't been able to get one of these devices to work so I can't list any pros

Cons: Tablet has never worked. Talking to Wacom tech support is like talking to an alien. The cord is embarasingly small, go ahead and tac on another $5 USB extension cord if you plan to use this device with any amount of comfort. I can't possibly explain how dissatisfied with this purchase I was. 3 weeks after delivery and $30 later, I still don't have what I ordered. Since I haven't been able to use the product I can't comment on it's workability but it feels very cheap, lightweight and a lot smaller than expected. This comment form doesn't have an option for 0 eggs so I reluctantly had to give it 1. Sigh..

Other Thoughts: $15 return shipping makes online ordering a real inconvenience. I'm a little suprised that Newegg doesn't pay return shipping fees (especially for something that is out of my control)

1 out of 5 eggsGlitchy

Pros: Detected by various systems I've tried, but you can only adapt things like orientation with the driver installed.

Problem is, the driver is horrible horrible bloatware.

Cons: Actual touch area significantly smaller than you'd expect.

Finger use: Not slippery enough.

Pen use: Easy to accidentally click the wrong thing.

Driver: Bloatware; It suggested an update was available so I went for it and it turned out breaking itself. Had to reinstall the old driver.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solid quality. Recommend it for beginners.

Cons: It does come with some software, although I found the additional programs counter-intuitive to what you really want the tablet for. Honestly, just install the driver for the tablet and leave the rest alone.

A huge complaint I have, and it seems to be the trend with others who use tablets, are the nibs that come with it. I would strongly suggest finding ones that are less damaging to your tablet. There are felt tips out there that do a wonderful job and have a much longer lifespan than the plastic ones.

Other Thoughts: I love my tablet! I am not a hardcore artist, nor do I wish to be one. This tablet is for doodling but works well when you want to get more serious with your work.

I would encourage beginners to use this tablet.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Impressive

Pros: Practical. Nice mouse alternative with multi-touch. Nice feel for drawing digital graphics. I'm an excellent freehand artist, but I've been able to efficiently transfer my skills to the computer. I think with practice, this may be the trick. Sketchbook is cool for sketch looking stuff, but Photoshop is the way to go for pro work.

Cons: cable connection just begging to be broken. wireless module may be a must

Other Thoughts: I need to try a restrained active area. It's not that the active area needs to be bigger, its the surface area surrounding it. I use a think laptop tray to give me more area to rest my wrist.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tablet

Pros: Compact size makes it easy to move around.
Software gives excellent features (Screen selection, right/left handed, total customization. Also came with Photoshop Elements 8.0, which was very nice).
Easy to clean.

Cons: The pen bit wears down somewhat quickly... I went on a drawing spree for a whole month, and it wore it down nicely (Good thing it comes with extra bits).
Cord is a bit short for my setup (About an arm's length, and I need it 1'-2' longer)

Other Thoughts: Just the poor planning on my end for the cord not reaching where I'd like it to. However, since I have the option to switch the setting to left-handed, it was easy to just flip the tablet upside-down and use it like that... Though I sometimes press the buttons with my hooked pen-grip.
And by "Easy to clean.", don't worry, I'm not literally drawing on it, It's just my hand rests on top of it, and it causes some light-sweat to rub off onto it. Damp cloth does the trick... I'd recommend that you use proper electronic wipes though.

4 out of 5 eggsCorrection!!!

Pros: It turns out that it was the cable giving me the issue, and not the actual unit...All apologies. (see my previous review that I can't delete)

Cons: I'm a pop-tart.

Other Thoughts: Sorry 'bout that folks.
