Natural and intuitive to use, the tablet lets you alternate between using multi-touch gestures to position and navigate your artwork and the pressure-sensitive pen to sketch, paint, retouch, and edit.

To achieve its compact size, the small Intuos5 touch has two fewer ExpressKeys than the other sizes, but brings all of the same great pen and multi-touch control as you will find in other Intuos5 touch models. 5 out of 5 eggsWorth the upgrade

Pros: -Touch controls
-Dial control with multiple settings

This tablet is amazingly smooth and the controls on the side are very useful, just touch your finger to them without pressing down and an onscreen help UI will remind you which buttons do what.

The addition of touch controls is a nice feature as well, it takes some getting used to.

Extra pen pieces are kept in the pen stand, this is a nice touch as I have NO clue where the nibs are for my old tablet.

Cons: As mentioned above the touch controls take a little getting used to, almost to the point where I only use them about 50% of the time, but I think this may be more due to how my desk/keyboard positioning is laid out.

Would have been nice if the wireless adapter was included, but I guess you can't win 'em all.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from an intuos 4 tablet, and I've got to say, if anyone is on the fence about upgrading DO IT! The difference is substantial. Plus the darker color looks cooler :)

I've used the tablet with Photoshop as well as zBrush and it works great with both so far.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: my first time using a tablet and this is very simple and easy to use. very precise device. the software that comes with it is as simple as it gets to install and you are ready to work. i like how it also works as a track pad with hand gestures. that feature has proven handy while on photoshop.

Cons: no cons yet

Other Thoughts: altho it is wireless capable you must purchase the wireless kit separate. so heads up and get the wireless kit while you are at it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat tablet!

Pros: The Intuos5 tablets are the best screenless tablets you can get.

Cons: The drivers have a well-known bug in Windows. If you experience lag and/or inaccurate lines, go to Control Panel -> Pen & Touch and disable "press and hold" for right click, and disable flicks. That should solve it.

Other Thoughts: I found out the hard way that the small version is nearly impossible to use on a 30" 2560x1600 monitor. Every small movement - including unwanted hand shakes - gets magnified on the screen. This makes it very hard to draw straight lines, to touch up photos, or even just to right click on the recycle bin to empty it.

On the other hand, it works great on my Macbook Air 13" (1440x900). But I'd consider that the limit, and if your resolution is any higher than that my advice would be to go with at least the medium size instead, if not even larger.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat upgrade from the intuos4

Pros: For anyone who owns the Intuos4 or any previous iteration of Wacom tablet, the integration of multitouch into the Intuos5 product line is well worth the upgrade. I had purchased the Intuos4 to work on a project with all intents to return it to the box store when finished, as I had no great need for just a pen based tablet (at least a big enough need to satisfy the price). The Intuos5 came out during that period and I ordered it to extend the period on which I could work on the project. After a few days of working with the 5, I have no intention of returning it. The multitouch function is amazing. It is essentially the same as Apple's Magic Trackpad, but larger, more sensitive, and with pen input. I must admit I had giftcards that offset the price to around $150, but even at $230 those that owned the previous generations should give serious thought into purchasing this one.

Cons: Out of the box, the software is highly customizable but cannot replicate certain functions, such as triple finger click to replicate the scroll wheel click on a mouse. I have submitted this to wacom, so this might become mute.
