3 out of 5 eggsPerforms the bare minimum

Pros: It does cut the cable... a bit...

Cons: The Signal doesn't even carry accurately over 12ft (TV-to-couch) which was disappointing to say the least... and the battery life leaves MUCH to be desired after degrading rapidly, to less than 30 minutes of life in under 3 months of use...

Other Thoughts: I do love my tablet, but the cable wacom includes with tablets is ridiculously short in order to coerce people into buying this, and this barely performs the described function - signal distance is so short you're basically still stuck at the desk. May as well buy a USB extender, or a better USB to micro USB cable.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great. One little gotcha to be aware of though.

Pros: It kinda cuts the cord for the most part. It works well and there doesn't seem to be any input lag either.

Cons: It will only charge when plugged into a computer's USB port.

Other Thoughts: Installation couldn't be easier for this. You pretty much just plug it into the tablet and computer and it works. There's only one gotcha that I wish didn't exist.

Technically you're going to need to hang onto the USB cable because the only way to charge the battery is by plugging the tablet into your PC. Why is that a bad thing you ask? Well that means if you want to use a USB charging brick for a device like a cellphone, you're completely out of luck. It simply will not charge from a USB power source that isn't a computer. It's not a complete letdown since it works rather well, but it would have been nice if you could charge the battery using any USB power source rather than using your computer to do so (and leaving your computer powered on in the process).

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Performs as prescribed. Battery lasts a decent amount of time. If basing it on continuous use, I would say 1 full day.

Cons: The receiver causes boot up issues when turning on your computer from a power down (at least I've noticed this issue with windows 7. Doesn't happen with windows 8). It causes the computer to take up to 10 minutes to boot up.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Addition

Pros: Great to have since the usb cable that came with the tablet was very short.
Dosen't add any lag like I thought it might.
Charges pretty quick.

Cons: Receiver dongle is tiny and can be easily lost.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible shipping

Pros: Shipped to Okinawa Japan in less than a week, quite unreal.

Cons: Didn't come charged, no biggie but annoying.

Other Thoughts: I never was any good with art but I love painting with a tablet.

Its good its sold without the tablet, same with the case, keeps cost down. Some people have large laptops and can fit both a 10#+ laptop with tablet.

4 out of 5 eggsMust get

Pros: Works great and easy to install.

Cons: Wireless range is really short. I can't be a couple of feet away from the receiver until it losses connection.

Other Thoughts: It's a must have for my Wacom Bamboo, the wire they provided is too short and gets in the way too much.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great with the CTH470

Pros: Great connection and feedback to the unit and OS. Simple to install, reasonable charge time. The charge time is equivalent to a phone in standby with average use. No it won't last for weeks but with average use (read a few hours per day), it lasts for quite some time.

Cons: Lacks a dedicated charger

Other Thoughts: Overall this completes the Bamboo tablets and, while many claim it should have been included with said tablet, it helps to keep down the cost of the tablet unless you really need to be untethered. In my case, I work close enough to the computer that I typically don't need wireless, however when I travel and demo our software products, being untethered really helps. As a result, I am generally charged because I use the tether. However, it would be nice if there was a dedicated charger so I could just plug it in a night, like a cell phone, and have it fully charged the next day. Not worth taking away a star because it truly does work as advertised and does it very well.

5 out of 5 eggsEASY

Pros: easy to install. Drivers from website include for usb and wireless connections. point and click. if you've changed the battery on a cell phone and changed an SD card, you can handle this. . . if you haven't, once you've installed these into your tablet, you can handle changing the battery on a cell phone and changing sd cards. Q

Cons: it didn't come with the tablet.

Other Thoughts: like i said on the review of the tablet i bought this fore. I wish they were more forthcoming about the length of the cable, this isn't really an accessory so much an upgrade. if you get the tablet GET THIS TOO.

5 out of 5 eggsOne year later

Pros: One year later and this is still an amazing accessory. Been using it in a simple Bamboo Capture, and it still holds it's charge well. No lag, no complaints at all. And it's still reasonably priced considering it's first party, and what it actually does.

Cons: No real cons.

Other Thoughts: If you have the money to spare with your tablet, this is a strong consideration for a Bamboo or an Intuos. The cords they come with are short and can get in the way and be otherwise cumbersome. "Cutting the cord" was one of the best things I did with my tablet.
