Pros: This was a major upgrade from my Cintiq 12WX. The colors gamut is excellent, the screen brightness is more than acceptable, and the large viewing angle is very helpful. The stand that comes with it is great for desk use, but I prefer a swing-arm mount instead. The drivers are reliable and fully functional, the button layout and touch strip are so incredibly helpful. It's extremely responsive and accurate and there's no lag. Finally, I can see what I'm working on in Photoshop without being zoomed in all the way. It has halved the time I spend working on projects because of how easy and convenient it is to have the extra screen space and the highly accessible buttons and touch strip.

Wacom tablets seem expensive, but with with Wacom, and with graphics tablets in general, you get what you pay for. I used my previous Cintiq for 5 years before upgrading to this one. They have very high build quality and will last you a long time, if you treat it right. Wacom's driver support is pretty great.

Cons: I'd say "the cost", but I got what I paid for and I don't regret it.

Other Thoughts: A lot of people are complaining about Adorama Camera. I had no problems with their service. It shipped fast and it was packed well, and the item was brand new in factory packaging. Take the 1-egg reviews with a grain of salt.

Pros: Good size to the beast, and just as a monitor, it's not bad--though definitely not a 2k monitor as just a monitor. It's important because if the monitor itself is mediocre, you aren't getting much for being able to more or less draw directly on the screen.

One of the first things you'll notice once you start using it (before putting stylus to screen) is that there is a ton of deadspace. While this does allow you to have your hand supported while working out at the edges--that's not really a situation that's likely to happen. You will mostly be working in the middle of the screen with small forays to the sides to click on program interface bits. When I do that, my hand doesn't touch the screen--I'm poking at buttons at the point, not drawing.

Around the edge are a bunch of buttons I never use and I just discovered the touch strips on the back--very inconvenient place, but I always turned those off on my tablets, so no loss for me.

The stand is very usable if you are comfortable using a desk easel.

Calibration leaves the parallax difference more or less invisible to the user--which is good because as a lefty, I often can't clearly see the tool tip in my drawing programs, but the pixels end up where I want them.

Using one of these is about as far beyond using a digitizing tablet as using a digitizing tablet was beyond a mouse.

Cons: For some reason, Wacom is sticking with a plastic cover, which will likely be scratched up within a year assuming you use it enough to justify buying it. Fortunately, you can get a screen protector, and I recommend you do.

The cabling is not modular. Not even remotely modular. Even the power cable is hardwired, so you have three cables permanently snaking out the back of the display. This makes lifting it in and out of the stand more of a pain, and it makes it seem a more vulnerable piece of equipment. If any of those cables (power, USB, DVI) is damaged, the unit is toast. I'd feel more comfortable knowing I could swap out my cables at whim like I can with my other big ticket peripherals.

The hardwired video cable is DVI. I'd rather use HDMI, or Displayport, or to at least have the option to have them used native--but it's a minor quibble.

Pros: It was an easy install; pretty fast and smooth on my windows 7 computer. The pen response time is fast, the felt-like plastic coating gives the pen display a very fine, high-quality touch.

Cons: Made in China - I knew this before I looked for the label that said it.

- Parallax distortion. There's about half of a centimeter between the plastic drawing surface and the actual LCD screen. This isn't a true con, since I already knew this before I bought this (Cintiq 22HD) and since the calibration feature nearly eliminates it. It's just a bit annoying if you like to move your head around in reference to the screen while doing your work.

- Average/poor LCD screen viewing angle. You'd expect a more from a product that you'd be looking at from a tilted angle.

- There were 3 dust particles between the plastic drawing surface and the LCD screen... Although some might not notice them when the LCD is powered on, I've found myself erasing my work when the black dot I was looking at was the dust particle on the physical screen rather than a mis-drawn accident in Corel Painter.

- The express keys are not as sensitive as I'd like. If you press down too light, the display sometimes won't register it even when you hear the audible "click".

- The plastic drawing surface over the LCD screen splits the light from the screen, resulting in larger red/green/blue dots. Anybody can see these in an ordinary LCD screen when they look close enough, but these are much more noticeable... (viewing from 3 feet away, I can still see them)

- The pen's rubber is WAY too grippy - it's a dust-particle magnet. (If only i could use to to get those few dust bits under the screen...). My pen got covered in a layer of white within moments of removing it from its plastic bag. It looked absolutely atrocious (and felt too hard), so I slipped the rubber grip off and replaced it with the one from my Intuos 3 tablet (which was soft, not too grippy, and much better looking than the dust-laden black rubber one that came with this Cintiq).

For $2000, I expected the best; this obviously isn't. It needs to be re-priced to about $1000 or less.
I was too lazy to return this (it's also expensive to ship back), and I still rather the Cintiq than my old Intuos tablet, so I've learned to live with these cons. I'm just grateful that the baseline features work as they should.

Other Thoughts: Conclusion: If you can settle for less room to work with, go for the Cintiq 13HD. Because the glass is thin and is right on top of the screen, it has minimal parallax distortion (pretty much none at all, if you've seen the unboxing vids on youtube), and there's minimal chance of having dust being trapped there.

Pros: excellent color range, very precise control, easy setup and good quality

Cons: the stand is useless

Other Thoughts: I really with they had included an armature instead of the silly stand they have... it is totally useless in my opinion. I replaced it with a 3M 220MB armature which has been wonderful.

Pros: Works flawlessly. NO DEAD PIXELS. Makes digital sculpting in ZBrush and Mudbox a lot more faster and friendlier than a tablet which means faster workflow. Faster texture painting and illustration. This monitor allows an artist to directly interact with what ever he or she is doing, whether its a 3D model or 2D illustration. Great investment.

Cons: Prince, but not worth giving this amazing device a low rating.

Other Thoughts: If you have the money or if Newegg has a no payment no interest for 12 months promotion I highly recommend if you are an artist to buy it.
