1 out of 5 eggsDidn't Work Right and Wacom Tech Support is Horrible

Pros: nothing really

Cons: Wacom tech support is the worst I have ever seen from any tech company. It sounded like I was talking to people with limited understanding of English in a place like India and with terrible phones. I was hung up on 5 times with two of those times being while talking with someone...and they never bothered to call me back. Wacom does not seem to care about customers. My Cintiq 22HD Touch drawing tablet monitor does not work with the pen in extended display mode and the monitor stand does not work to raise the monitor unless I completely remove the monitor from the stand. Totally impossible to use the unit for the purpose I bought it for. It also did not come with an HDMI connection so I had to buy an adaptor to even use it in the first place. Not ready to use out of the box. I sent mine back for replacement after getting nowhere with Wacom Tech Support or Customer Support.

Other Thoughts: I would buy a different brand if the companies I work for in the future were not all using Wacom Cintiqs. But imagine eventually another company will replace Wacom by providing better tech support than this company.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat tool for artists of any kind

Pros: Large display gives you plenty of room to work. Plus the rotate option really does come in handy.

Cons: The touch and pen controls went wacky until I found out how to reset them through a YouTube video and have had absolutely no problems since. They work great and the touch option has quickly spoiled me.

Other Thoughts: These tools are great. If you want it to work exactly like the real world tools then don't bother getting one. The tools such as the pencil and ink pens come close to the real thing but are still lacking the subtle/soft reactions of their physical counterparts. The tools work fine for what they are but there is a learning curve in realizing the limitations of the tools and the software programs. I have managed to reproduce an airbrush style that I used with real world airbrushes with success and the results are great and as a bonus I don't have to clean the airbrush.
I do a lot of vector artwork for stock sites and it's use for this work is so far limited. At this point the mouse works as well or better for this kind of work.
With those things said if you have the funds get one. It is a blast to work on and the touch function is great. The touch can cause unintentional additions to your art if you happen to rub or touch the screen too hard when the pen tool is not touching the screen as well. You have to either pay attention and make sure your not adding anything you don't want. You can turn off the touch function temporarily to prevent the problem. It's not really a problem once you get used to using the Cintiq.

1 out of 5 eggsWavy/Scratchy Red (noise?) on screen

Pros: Works in illustrator

Cons: Defective display. After about 5 minutes of use I started noticing scratchy red lines on the screen.

RMA requested and received.

Other Thoughts: I had so wanted this to work.
