This review is from: Wacom Intuos Pro PTH851 12.80" x 8" Active Area USB Pen and Touch Large
Pros: Solid feel, consistent performance. The driver software has been excellent. I use it with several different applications, and being able to customize the express keys and radial menus for each application is awesome.
Cons: A couple of minor irks: everything that I read about the nibs wearing down quickly is true. I am going to polish the surface to make it smoother to work around that. Also, the finger touch-response feature is new with this generation of tablets, and so it could use a couple of refinements. Single-finger and two-finger gestures can be turned on and off, but their meaning cannot be customized, and so they do not work with all applications, which is disappointing. 3-, 4-, and 5-finger gestures can be customized, but the tablet does not always recognize these gestures on the first try.
Other Thoughts: like everyone shopping for a tablet, I questioned what size to get. with the new finger-gesture features, larger tablets have become more important in order to have the "real-estate" necessary for 4- and 5-finger gestures to work. I'm glad I went with the large. It also encourages more movement from the elbow and shoulder, giving my wrist a break.
