3 out of 5 eggsWorked for a few months without needing an extension cord

Pros: Nice keyboard like any apple keyboard is. Lightweight and stylish.

Cons: Worked for a few months then started having issues. After reboots the system would occasionally not find a keyboard connected and eventually this happened after every reboot.

It seems like the usb connector is smaller than other apple keyboards and doesn't sit in the port well. I've found that if I connect it to a usb extension cable it works fine.

Other Thoughts: You might need a usb extension cord to be able to use this as the usb head on this keyboard is slightly small and doesn't connect well with Mac usb ports.

3 out of 5 eggsGood but overpriced

Pros: Sleek, space saving, lightweight, very quiet to type on, nice feel on keys even though they are thin.

Cons: Almost no ergonomics at all, you'll be sore in the wrists with this keyboard. This is a prime example of form over function. Keys can begin to fall off over time. Being white it gets dirty quick. No backlighting.

Other Thoughts: I owned both this and the wireless version. Both are similar although the wireless is small. Overall it looks great and the keys have a good feel. But again it's not ergonomic at all, it gets dirty, and not practical for daily use.

Plus it's insanely overpriced.

5 out of 5 eggssolid keyboard

Pros: I've used dozens of keyboards and they felt flimsy/plastic-y. None of them compared to this one. I'm a fan of chicklet keyboards; it allows me to type faster and smoother, but I supposed that's very subjective given how polarized the reviews are.

As for aesthetics, you can't get more minimalist than this. I'm a fan of a lot of Logitech keyboards, but a lot of them seem to be unnecessarily bulky and not very streamlined. The aluminum gives it a very solid feel.

Cons: Edges of individual keys can be a pain to clean. The same can probably be said about any keyboard in the market, but given that the keys are white, stains and dirt is more noticeable.

Cable is too short, but I guess that's what the extension is for (duh!).

Also, not as much a con than a gripe, but I wish they made this keyboard into a wireless version. The current bluetooth Apple keyboard doesn't have the extra keys (arrows, num pad, etc) and I'm not a fan of that.

In either case, the cons aren't bad enough to reduce the rating; the functionality outweighs any cosmetic gripes.

Other Thoughts: The activation of the caps-lock key puzzled me for a few seconds, but any half-wit doing a google search for 10 seconds would be able to figure out why it seems like it's not working half the time.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: umm.... none

Cons: capslock doesn't work half the time, terrible for any kind of typing.

Other Thoughts: I was hoping to find a decent replacement for this keyboard. We have 5 of these at work that all came with new Mac pros all of them have issues with the capslock button not working half the time we hit it. They feel is pretty terrible and it's real easy to make typos especially when typing double numbers/letters. Don't let th epositive reviews from the mac fan boys fool you. These keyboards suck for any kind real work.

5 out of 5 eggsWouldn't have it any other way.

Pros: Love this keyboard. The low profile and pressure that is required to type allows for very fast typing. I sometimes will even think I made a mistake, but actually typed correctly. Don't know what else to say.

Cons: As others have said the cord is short.

Other Thoughts: You have to realize with the cord these are ment to go to an iMac, or for those using a tower there is an extension cord.

4 out of 5 eggsNot an IBM, but very good

Pros: Quiet---good for an open work environment; looks and feels solid; long USB cable; good rubber feet so it doesn't slip around on a desk. It's also very low, so you don't need (and can't use) a wrist support.

Cons: A little hard to keep clean, or at least visually clean. When junk falls on a regular keyboard, it just slips between the cracks and you never see it again. With this keyboard, it just sits there on the isthmi and stares at you all day.

Other Thoughts: I feel a little dirty giving Apple any money, but they sell a good keyboard. I feel good with an Apple keyboard on my Linux machine, like I'm getting the best of both worlds. Still, I use an old IBM Model M at home, and wouldn't think of replacing it.

5 out of 5 eggsIts a keyboard

Pros: Its a great keyboard i like that it has a usb hub built into it.
Now assumeing your a mac owner this is the keyboard you need if you go wireless you will have issues if you ever have to use recovery mode or if your trying to dual boot windows or if you are using refit. With this you will have no issues going that route. If you are looking at using refit for dual boot or tri boot its not compatible with wireless keyboards.

Cons: Cord is kinda short but they give you a extension cable.
Also with the extension you cant use it with anything but the keyboard they made it so it would only fit the keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsworks well with Linux Mint.

Pros: Easy to use works well with Linux Mint 11 and 12.

Cons: Has to be configured with Ubuntu and it's other flavors but it still does not work even after you install pommed and then configure the pommed.conf file in the line: fn mode = 2 and it also does not work when you change the /etc/options.conf file.
