4 out of 5 eggsGood keyboard

Pros: Great looking design
Aluminium construction
Usb ports located on the back side and audio repeater ports.

Cons: some keys started dying after 5 yearr which is not bad after all.

Other Thoughts: Even though some keys did die, it took over 5 years for that to happen and I use this keyboard quite a bit. Now I am trying to replace it but it seems discontinued, new models have usb ports on the sides instead of the back which sucks.

2 out of 5 eggsIt lasted 1.5 years

Pros: Beautiful to look at. Quet . Well built
Works for a limited tme = up to the warranty date.

Cons: Well if you noticed the doesn't work (I). What a pain to always have to back and see if any i's are missing. If repeat hitting the i it will work...whoppee. paid $65 for this nice looking ready for the trash keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I contacted Enermax and they replied with one sentence " We don't have replacement keys" Thank you very much, for nothing

5 out of 5 eggsAn attibute to envy!

Pros: This is really the best keyboard EVER!!! Durable, functional, beautiful - I JUST LOVE IT! I really have no complaints! Fast, easy and silent keystrokes. I've had it for 2 and a half years - 12 hours a day use... and I see no difference in performance. Only very small gloss is appearing on some keys.... but the inscription is intact! Really - THE BEST!

Cons: None what so ever! Worth every dime!

Other Thoughts: I am sorry to see newegg doesn't offer them anymore...

2 out of 5 eggsOverpriced Failure

Pros: Sturdy solid keyboard that has different feel with their flat keys. I like that the keyboard has a simple layout and not filled with a bunch of extra keys.

Cons: Though the keyboard has a sturdy build the keys wore out withing a year of using my keyboard. Since i am an avid gamer the W, S, A, D, Space along with the most used keys started going out. If you take off the keys, under each key there is a rubber cone thing instead of a spring for the response and recoil. They are cheap and break down after many keystrokes causing the keys to stick or not function correctly.

Other Thoughts: When my keys started to wear out, i switched out the rubber cones under the keys with other keys on the keyboard that i dont use often making the keyboard usable. I can still use the keyboard but running out of other keys to switch with. Also the flat feel may not be comfortable with some users.

5 out of 5 eggsArguably the best keyboard I've ever owned....

Pros: Nice solid feel, the keyboard doesn't creep around even when I'm banging on it pretty hard. I've spend a lot of time with this keyboard over the last 2 years I've owned it and the only wear it shows at all are the areas where my thumbs and palms rest from time to time under the space bar. Key throw (which is very short, similar to a laptop but feels more sturdy) is the same as the day I bought it. This is a pricey keyboard, but worth every cent.

Cons: Media controls like volume and mute would really be the icing on the cake for this keyboard, but I've forgone any number of keyboards with those features over the look and feel of this keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I'm waiting for this item to come back in stock so I can purchase another one.

5 out of 5 eggsWhen can I get one?

Pros: This thing looks beautiful and all the reviews are great! I just built a new computer with a black anodized case and i want to get this to match it...

Cons: I can't find one in stock ANYWHERE. There might be one in Australia...

Other Thoughts: If Newegg/Enermax could give us an ETA on these it would be awesome.

3 out of 5 eggskey failed at 11 months

Pros: Heavy, low-profile feels like "quality".
They promptly supplied an RMA.

Cons: A key failed at 11 months under light home use so
that it's hard to believe the spec "10 million plus keystroke lifetime". After no action and no communication for a month, I learned they were out-of-stock of the KB002U.

Other Thoughts: The KB002U model is no longer on the Enermax website.
The newegg link is stale.
It appears to be replaced by the KB007U which is what Enermax gave as a replacement under the 1 year warranty.

1 out of 5 eggsWish It Weren't True...BUT...

Pros: Beautiful, sleek, elegant, sturdy, nice keys. Just great, except...

Cons: ...the old VISTA and Sound Card conflict demons have again reared their ugly heads. It doesn't like to stick its USB into my Thermaltake Soprano housed E6600. Constantly looks for a driver. I tried every USB port and they all seem to be the same. Go to reboot and your keyboard is gone. Also, the on-board sound port is a festival of static...and it doesn't seem to care for my HTOmega Striker either. Enermax Customer service should be renamed customer disservice. Masters of the sentence fragment for an e-mail reply...along with pay for an RMA and you won't get a new one until late April, even though one of Newegg's competitors is just two blocks away from Enermax HQ...and they have it in stock.

Other Thoughts: Lesson well learned. I will never buy from anyone other than Newegg again...and I will never purchase another Enermax product. BTW, I borrowed a friend's Caesar (big brother to this keyboard)...same deal. To top it all off, even the Enermax logo on my keyboard is applied skewed. The electronics world is getting worse and worse for shoddy merchandise...we have learned to accept 7 dead pixels in an LCD as "acceptable." LOL, would you buy a Porsche that had only 5 cylinders?

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Great product, superior attention to detail and craftsmanship.
The style of the keyboard is favorable to me, in that it is a zero degree tilt base and has laptop style keys. All of which I prefer.

Cons: Well the shift key's crapped out after two months. Considering the excellent build of this keyboard I was a little taken aback. Also I have a suspicion this is because some wiring must be jumbled or maybe some crossed circuitry, because when I hold down both the shift key's, then press s, the caps lock turn on...

Anyway it's a fine keyboard and the assumption that it is a awesome as well stylish choice is correct. You've been warned though.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: This keyboard is incredibly solid. the aluminum finish is amazing, and the scissor 'laptop' style keystroke is my favorite part. I specifically went looking for it when i needed a new keyboard. I love the look and design

Cons: The scissor style keystroke is definitely not for everyone is certainly a matter of taste. if not sure if it is for you try typing on a laptop and a traditional desktop keyboard, you will immediately be able to see the difference. Also the key layout is such that the backspace key is only the size of a normal key, and the enter key is larger (see pics for details) this can lead to misstrokes when reaching for backspace but the keys can be remmapped.

Other Thoughts: To remmap the keys to your liking just google key mapping software. I have been told that a program called 'sharkykeys' is quite good though i have never needed to remap a keyboard myself
