1 out of 5 eggsNot Mechanical

Pros: Hinestly, it is standard keyboard with backlighting

Cons: This is not a mechanical keyboard, it is a regular rubber contact, with friction keys. The key caps as they are calling them are not key caps, they are replacement keys period. The key cap puller tool is a key removal tool. completely generic

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is worth maybe $10. That is the quality and functionality are no more than a regular keyboard with a cover that makes it look like it is a gaming keyboard. It's not really even worth the shipping.

3 out of 5 eggsit's a keyboard

Pros: -performs well as a keyboard.
-USB ports on the back. I haven't used them at all (my comp has 8 built in) but they might come in useful to some
-long cord is nice
-backlight means you can use it in a dark room (I know, terrible for your eyes, don't you start too)

Cons: -big keys (space, enter and right shift key) feel kind loose. they haven't come off but they do rattle and are noisy when you push them. I kinda expected more from a $30 KB when the cheap $10 ones are completely silent. you get used to it though
-when you turn the backlight off, you can barely see what the keys are
-perhaps this is petty, but I would like to be able to change the color of the backlight.

Other Thoughts: a solid keyboard. nothing has worn off, and all the keys still work. I'm pleased with the performance and I don't think you will be disappointed with it if you do buy it. that said, you could probably do a little better with your $35

5 out of 5 eggsVery Functional for such low $$

Pros: I'm an Electrical Engineer who plays games fairly regularly, and I was given a G105 gaming keyboard for Christmas and did not like it so I bought this instead because it had the following:
-Volume Up/Down controls
-Silver colored WASD LRUD keys (looks good on black keyboard)
-no annoying "G" macro buttons to the left of the ESC button (very annoying when you go to hit ESC and hit a G button instead)
-LED backlighting (just right intensity, not too bright, on/off control)
-Mechanical keys with good enough response
-2x USB ports
-The price was right!

In summary the keyboard had all the features of a $60+ keyboard for only $35. I've been using it about a week and so far I like it a lot!

Cons: The only complaints I have is that the backspace button is small. The enter button / backslash buttons are different than most keyboards, normally backslash is above enter, but for some reason the designer decided to make the enter button huge (which could be a positive i suppose).

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Keyboard

Pros: Decent, works well. I've had no issues with it. Lights up. Comes with some extra keys to change the colors of your arrow keys and ASDW.

Cons: Very loud keystrokes. Don't plan on using this around a sleepy wife.

3 out of 5 eggsBarely OK for the price.

Pros: Cheap price, one USB port (pass-through, USB 2.0), illuminated keys, replaceable WSAD & arrow keys (that are silver-gray, or leave the default black ones on)

Cons: Cheap quality, tacky design and annoying palm-rest lighting. Terrible "default" performance, very spotty under Windows 7 and Linux. No audio connections (could be a plus?)

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a Linux gaming / workstation, wanting a back-lit keyboard with at least one USB pass-through port (USB 2.0 is fine). I immediately noticed that the operating system (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) would drop the keyboard (and USB port that I had the mouse plugged into) for a moment, then re-connect it. It happened often and sometimes keypresses would not register - or worse, would spam the key as if it was held down. The thing is clean, no debris under the key to stick them, etc.

At first, I thought it must be whatever driver Ubuntu was using (this was during a fresh install); however, I also used it on a Windows machine to upgrade Vista to Windows 7, and noticed the same behavior. Disconnects / reconnects, non-responsive key presses, random spamming, etc.

Ultimately, once the OS was installed, it has been working fine since. This was only during the install of Ubuntu and the upgrading of Vista to 7 (two separate machines).

The whole design appears geared towards people who still like lights and tacky design in their PC's. Hard, angled edges and an obnoxious lighting in the built-in palm rest round out the 90's style failure that this keyboard represents.

For the price, and the back-lit keys - and maybe even the silver-gray WSAD and arrow keys, it was not a bad purchase. The buggy behavior seems to have worked itself out.

I did not test or use the media keys, nor whatever crapware was included on the CD. I would not select this keyboard for a machine that I would use daily.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful!

Pros: wire can be moved to come out in different places of the front, works great, looks really nice too! If you're looking for something cool looking without going way over budget this is really worth it.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: High quality at a great price. The blue light of the keyboard makes it very easy to see.
