Pros: Fancy packaging, Sharp looking set, Decent features.

Cons: I upgraded from the much older Desktop Elite set which was great. This set is junk! The key stroke lag times are Ridiculous long. Key strokes frequently do not register forcing me to watch and verify that every single key I pressed registered. Talk about a reduction in productivity. The mouse doesn't glide over rubber based mouse pads or even solid vinyl type thanks to the thin glide pads on the mouse.

Other Thoughts: If you want precision, don't buy this set. Doesn't come with software which has to be downloaded.

Pros: I had wrist pain after using normal keyboards and mouse and I bought this combo after using the cabled keyboard for over a year. The keyboard is very comfortable and the typing position feels very natural. The mouse is designed for a smaller hand and people with larger hand will have to get used to this, but the hand position is very comfortable. Overall the combo is very comfortable and if used right, can alleviate a lot of the pain which many people have.

The software suport for both Windows and Mac are pretty good and allows easy configuration.

Cons: The key strikes are not very smooth and are pretty long. The sensation is not nearly as good as typing on a good laptop keyboard but will do the job. The mouse is a bit sticky but otherwise good. The worst part is the wireless connection. I use to plug it on the desktop tower under my desk and the mouse will not work if it's more than 3' away from it. Now I have it plugged on the monitor and works fine.

As someone else mentioned. A diode indicator of the various keys would be great. I have another set of keyboards from MS on which the diodes are on the big receiver, which is great.

Pros: Great keyboard if you have carpal tunnel syndrome.

Cons: The letters wear off after a few months of use.

Other Thoughts: This is a very comfortable keyboard to use but it the letters will wear off after a few months. I cannot understand why such a great keyboard was manufactured without the letters being etched to prevent the fading of the letters. That is why I gave it three stars instead of five.

Pros: The ergonomics of the keyboard are great. The mouse is ok.

Cons: Periodically the keyboard will be unresponsive for a few seconds in spite of being less than three feet from the receiver. The mouse is jumpy and occasionally impossible to use.

Pros: Works fine for what I needed for, I am using it to send this review, and I am quite surprised, (while I was typing the last line, it froze up and none responsive to the input).

Cons: Need indicater lights for various keys i.e CAPITAL LOCKS, FUNCTION KEYS, AND NUMBER LOCKS.

Other Thoughts: Overal, I think it should work out for what I want to use it for, I don't want sit within 3 ft of a 55" plasma.

Pros: The split key board and the ergonomics of the mouse feels good to the hand and posture. Not problems with connectivity.

Cons: Mouse eats batteries. I have two of these systems, one mouse eats batteries. On both mice the thumb grip has either bubbled or delaminated. The tracking on the mouse can be course and not easily used for graphics editing.

Other Thoughts: I think I may try a different manufacturer this time around.

Pros: This is a great keyboard! The ergonomics are VERY comfortable for both keyboard and mouse.

Cons: The plastic on the mouse can get a little sticky, I assume from the oil in my skin sticking to it. Somewhat obnoxious at times, but I get over it. It still pretty comfortable.

Cons: Will never buy another Microsoft product again. What happened is that i broke the transceiver (the little usb thing that you use to connect the keyboard and mouse to the PC)
Called microsoft (around 10 times on 10 different phone numbers and finally they provided the correct number which i had to call) After calling they informed me that they do not sell the Transceiver separately so now i need to buy new KB and mouse.....

Just so you know logitechs products use universal transceivers (called the unifying receiver) that you can connect up to 5 devices with.. So yeah go with logitech.... plus logitech has 1.000.000 times better customer service

Pros: Keyboard is fast and extremely comfortable. Keys feel solid with excellent responsiveness. No wrist pain or soreness even after a dozen hours of uninterrupted typing.

Mouse may look and feel a bit funny at first, but it's really very comfortable once you get used to it. Contrary to what some other reviewers have said, this mouse is VERY precise if placed on a surface it can read.

Cons: Durability, durability, durability. It seems like I'm buying a new one every 2-3 years.

Mouse can be a bit picky about the surfaces you use it on. It doesn't like overly smooth surfaces at all. In my experience, they seem to work best on cloth covered mouse pads, and worst on shiny rubber gel-pads.

Like all wireless keyboards, it's susceptible to interference from other 2.4ghz devices including wifi routers and cordless phones. It can even be a problem if there are a lot of users around you with wireless keyboards. Look into this before buying.

Other Thoughts: As a professional computer programmer, a good keyboard isn't option...it's a job requirement. I've been using Microsoft Natural keyboards since picking up my first in 1995, and I'll swear by them to anyone who asks. My only real complaint about them is durability. If you're a heavy keyboard user, this thing has a lifespan of three years tops. I've seen a few programmers beat them to dust in two. It's also EXTREMELY sensitive to having anything spilled in it. I once had one die from just a few drops of coffee, and I've killed a few with very small amounts of water (tiny amounts splashed over the rim of a glass). To be fair, I also once dropped a half can of Red Bull into one, and it worked for another year before giving up the ghost, but that tends to be a rarity. The design provides no protection for the electronics. Home users should have no problems with durability (assuming that you can keep liquids away from it), but professionals should expect to replace it every few years.

Maybe my standards are a bit too high, but it wasn't all that long ago that keyboards were so durable that you could pop them into the dishwasher to clean them, and you could practically run a car over them without killing them. We have an old IBM clacker keyboard in our server room from the late 80's that's been used daily for 25 years, and still works as well as the day it was made. If Microsoft could make their Natural keyboards even half as durable as those old IBM's, these would be the greatest keyboards ever made.

Pros: Keyboard feels solid and is comfortable.

Cons: Poor connectivity. Often will skip letters and sometimes not work at all for a minute or two.
Have tried resynching, using different USB ports, new batteries. Nothing works. Keyboard is essentially unusable because of this problem.
