1 out of 5 eggsMouse fine, Keyboard.....

Pros: Mouse tracks on anything and still runs fine

Cons: Keyboard will randomly lose sync. This is EXTREMELY annoying as it will happen a dozen or so times in an row. Sync, 2 or 3 characters, dead, re-sync..... signal is good, batteries are good, mouse works fine. This is the second key mouse combo that has done this. The only one still running is a 2.4G model, wonder if it is an issue with noise, but mouse works with no problems at all.

4 out of 5 eggsGoo quality keyboard

Pros: I like the wave of the board, it curves in, all my friends hate it, and it takes a week to get used to, but its just nice for some reason. Also being Wireless is awesome, just wish it had USB ports on the board itself sometimes :)

Cons: The wireless receiver will someitmes completely spaz out and all the keys get scrambled, a simple reconnect will do, but its annoying, also the cps lock key seems huge to me, I had to pop it out because when typing to friends online I would CONSTANTLY BE SHOUTING AT THEM OVER THE INTERNETS AND IT WAS REALLY ANNOYING SOMETIMES. Other then that, great.

Other Thoughts: 4 Eggs for the caps lock problem and wireless signal loss, which is not directly effected by radio waves in the room because I have used it in areas with no wireless traffic and it has still done it.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Bought open box so price was right, ergonomic design of keyboard, integrated web browsing buttons in mouse.

Cons: Tried using this for my HTPC with the receiver not 3 feet away and both the mouse and keyboard would consistently lose connectivity. The mouse scroll wheel feels cheaply built and whenever I try to click on something with it (to open in a new tab in firefox) 90% of the time it would scroll the website slightly and either cause me to click another link erroneously or go into autoscroll.

Other Thoughts: I ended up buying a a Logitech EX 100 which works perfectly at that distance, though i do miss mouse design and integrated web browsing button of this mouse. I eventually brought this to work and it works fine when the receiver is 1 foot away, though the scroll wheel is prone to error. this is the only reason I give it more than 1 egg

4 out of 5 eggsNice for the price.

Pros: Nice feel on the keyboard, works reliably. Battery life seems good. It's not fancy but both mouse and keyboard do their jobs well.

Cons: Range is a little shorter than I'd have liked. Anything beyond 5 or 6 feet gets erratic. Not a great choice for a media pc hooked up to a tv.

4 out of 5 eggsReal Smooth

Pros: Does what it says, very sleek and stylish. I like the keyboard. It has a button function for just about everything you need. Great price so far so good.

Cons: Wireless receiver loses signal easy. Maybe it's the batteries I'm using since newegg didn't send me the batteries it was supposed to come with or my 2yr replacement plan warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsvery nice how much?

Pros: Worked right out of the box. Very big and nice layout. buttons feel really good, not loose or clicky. The palm rest is soft and has a thick expensive leather feel.

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: When I first got it out of the box and plugged in, I thought it was broken since I didnt see a red light coming out of the mouse. I was disappointed and thought "great another RMA" then I read the bottom of the laser and saw that its an invisible laser. This is one of the best buys I've ever had

2 out of 5 eggsNot Working out of the box

Pros: Nice keyboard. does what a keyboard does. That is the only reason this product received 2 eggs from me.

Cons: The mouse failed to sync, out of the box. New batteries didn't help. Microsoft gave me the run around spending nearly half a day on the phone. It was my fault for not spending the money to return it to newegg.ca. Further, it should be noted that these are discontinued by Microsoft having been manufactured in March 2008.

Other Thoughts: After the half day on the phone, I was told MS was sending me a replacement for my my keyboard and mouse at no charge. The new version is bluetrac versus the laser I have. Free upgrade isn't so bad. And they don't take the defective hardware back so I guess I get a free keyboard out of the deal.

5 out of 5 eggsIts a keyboard and mouse

Pros: For the price, this is a decent keyboard/mouse combo. Has decent range (approx 4-6 feet at best) and of the 4 I have bought they seem fairly reliable. Time will tell on key wear or battery life.

Cons: The mouse LED does not shine on these, so it can look like they aren't doing anything when in fact they are infrared laser. SO they will NOT light up, even though they are working.

Other Thoughts: Always be sure with any wireless keyboard and mouse of this type read the setup directions. Nearly all of these have steps to set the wireless.
You push the button on the wireless hub (hooked to the computer) FIRST, then within 10-20 seconds (depending on brand, model) push the button on the bottom of the keyboard. Then repeat this process for the mouse. Voila! You are done. If you lose connection to a device, simply repeat the same steps to reset it. IF that fails, change the batteries.

Keep in mind these pointers do not work for blue-tooth devices. Those setup a bit different, so don't confuse the two. Hope it helps.

4 out of 5 eggsLarge

Pros: Works as advertised. Lots of buttons, wrist rest, and good range. Easy to set up.

Load the software that comes with it and it makes any adjustments easier.

Cons: Kind of large and it takes up a lot of desk space. Wrist rest is removable and that would help a bit. I though the sensor cable (usb) was kind of short so I used an extension and it works fine.

Other Thoughts: This is my first Microsoft wireless keyboard. It's different from the Logitech's that I have been getting but not all that bad. I knocked off 1 egg for the size but some may not find this to be an issue.
