5 out of 5 eggsKnow what you're getting before you buy it

Pros: I purchased this setup to make getting work done on my netbook easier when at home. So far it has done its job well. The keys on the keyboard are big, sit low, and are easy to push. The mouse functions and has an indicator of when it needs to be charged. Overall, it works well and makes my life a lot easier.
The battery life is good. I've used it just about everyday for a few months now. I've charged the mouse a few times and haven't replaced the keyboard batteries yet.

Cons: Like most people say, the action on the mouse isn't great. If you're looking for a gaming mouse, get a usb mouse.

If you have internal bluetooth, good luck connecting the keyboard and mouse through that. I've been stuck to using the provided usb bluetooth adapter. There's probably a way, but I haven't found it. Not a big deal to me, but it's worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: I bought this expecting the mouse action to be terrible. It was pretty bad, but for what I use it for, it's fine. Don't expect bt to be lightening fast, the technology just isn't there.
With that said, I will say, this is hands down the best way to use your computer from the coffee table. For someone who is running an hdmi or vga to their family room tv, or conference room projector this package lets you do everything you would normally do without the weight, size, and wires or a conventional setup.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!!!

Pros: I don't know what problems others have had, but this is the best thing sience the invention of TP and sliced bread! It's been a year and this keyboard is still working great; I use non-stop for aboout a total of three hours a day if not more! I love the D-Pad so much I don't even use the combo mouse; it's awsome for Media Center!!! Batteries last about 6 months for me. I can use the bluetooth dongle that came with it to also work with my phone to transfer files, pics and music.

Cons: One thing I don't like and one problem; I don't really likr the touch keys at the top. I oftern will brush the (F1-Help) key when I'm in the Media Center and it's a paid in the rear. Also the problem I've had is some of the keys (2 or 3 of them) will kinda stick and I have to press harder than the others. That being said, I very well could have spilt pop or something on them as I use this with my big screen TV and for my main TV/Web/Music/BD-Movie and everyday computer HID (keyboard) on the coffee table.

Other Thoughts: Over all, this keybaoard/mouse combo is top notch. If and when I need to buy a new one, I will get this some one. In fact I've thought about buying another one now incase they stop making this exact one.

5 out of 5 eggsNice media center KB

Pros: Just about the right size, unless you want to use the numeric keys, which it doesn't have. Comfortable to use both on a desk and a lap. Reliable RF connection. Mine arrived in new OEM condition, with no KB batteries, no software CD, but with 2 Bluetooth dongles (1 MS, 1 Toshiba). Naturally, after reading previous reviews, I ordered a Cirago BT transceiver, which is the one I use in a front USB port on my media box; it is much smaller than the ones provided by MS. The Laser Mouse 8000 is excellent, and I intend to use it on my desktop in place of my 2.4GHz MS 5000 mouse. For the media computer, the touch pad on the keyboard is adequate and more appropriate. Functions fine with both Vista and Windows 7 64 Bit.

Cons: In my current configuration, I can't wake the computer with the keyboard, (as can be done with the MCE IR remote) but I will play with BIOS and power setting toward that end - I've not given up on that yet.

Other Thoughts: Even though the kit was a bit expensive, and not useable to me on the deskop (no 10-key), I'm happy. I ordered it for a media keyboard, and only entertained thoughts of using it on my desktop after seeing it. It looks very nice. Just can't live with what is essentially a notebook KB for a desktop computer.

5 out of 5 eggsArrived refurbished but...

Pros: Very nice slim keyboard, good range, great price

Cons: Mouse wheel isn't as good as some other products

Other Thoughts: Unit arrived refurbished with obvious usemarks on multiple keys, in addition the rechargeable battery of the mouse was dead. Contacted NewEgg and they will RMA replace it for free including free return shipping... That is great customer service and even though this is the first time I've received something from NewEgg that I wasn't happy with, how they handled the situation made the situation much better.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: This sucker has great range (though I've only tested it line-of-sight from the dongle). The keyboard feels a little different, but not enough to hinder typing.
I LOVE the little track pad built into the keyboard!!!
Mouse is ambidexterous. (LEFT POWER!!!)

Cons: The mouse still has the Microsoft junky soft wheel that always feels like it doesn't work. I really wish they would use something that FEELS like it works
That "feature" is the only reason I didn't drop a 5-egg review on this product.

1 out of 5 eggsI received a used one.

Pros: It works just like I wanted it to. It was an easy install in Vista but...

Cons: I received a used product. I could tell because it had scratches on the battery covers. The documentation was torn. The two batteries for the keyboard were missing. I am giving this one egg because it was sold as new and not listed as refurbished, only oem. I don't mind buying a refurb but I like to know before I buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Combo, Mouse Great Keyboard Good

Pros: Mouse is perfect. No sticking of keys, made well, feels good in my hands (6'2" with larger hands), good reception and tracing. Keyboard is good only due to the learning curve if you are used to typing on a "normally" laid out keyboard. Keys are not misplaced per se, but are in a position that leads your hands to mistype if you are not looking at the keyboard. Took me 1 week of heavy use to "re-learn" with this keyboard.

Cons: Small con of keyboard learning curve. Keyboard is a bit large, could be a con for some.

Other Thoughts: Got this for free from Microsoft as an OEM, so I am rating it under the OEM. I have worked closely with Bluetooth as a networking protocol and cannot believe the number of people confused about a dongle being included with an OEM supplied product and then claiming to be highly experienced with the product and technology. The entire advantage of a Bluetooth set like this is the ability to use a keyboard, mouse and adapting other devices such as headsets and cameras with a single internal Bluetooth interface. No tying up USB ports, no accidentally hitting the dongle and damaging a port. Shame on Newegg? Shame on Microsoft? No, shame on unrealistic and ignorant consumers living in a fairytale as "experienced" users.

Newegg needs to integrate their forum service with each product for ongoing discussions to better clear up problems like this.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasantly Surprised

Pros: I bought this one because my RocketFish died. Coming from that, I was looking for something that would work in a media center or in my minimal gaming adventures. This thing seems to work great in both! It seems responsive enough for gaming.
I really like the mini trackpad on the right (though I wish it had more features)

Cons: none that I can find right now

3 out of 5 eggsOpen box product & not for gameing

Pros: Works, extra buttons are nice and the range is really far, 20+ Feet for both, rechargeable mouse is great, by why stop there, why not make the keyboard rechargeable too?! Will use this in the living room PC, what it's made for.

Cons: First of all, it's NOT a normal shape keyboard, Look close, the B,N, G, H, T, Y keys are not in the normal spot, so typing is awkward. Beware, this IS an open box product, however I feel lucky I got everything that is supposed to come with it. There were scrapes; the paperwork looked as if it'd been sent three or more times, lol!

Other Thoughts: Thank goodness NEWEGG shipps to U.S. Military overseas, APO AP boxes, shipping was fast, love that!

5 out of 5 eggsDon't give a bad review because you don't know how to read

Pros: By far the best bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo I've ever seen for the price. Works from over 50 feet away but with some lag at that distance. No noticeable lag at 10-15 feet where I usually sit. Amazing price, currently much cheaper than the retail version which is ideal for those that already have a bluetooth adapter, or you can pick up a cheaper one here as well. Battery life is great with the keyboard's 4 AA's lasting about 6 months under what I feel is fairly heavy home usage. The rechargables in the mouse have a pretty similar battery life as well.

Cons: After two years started to have issues with keys not working reliably, but that's not much of a con, because in all fairness I've been really hard on this hardware and it handles it very well.

Other Thoughts: Don't be mislead by negative reviews by people who were complaining that there was no bluetooth adapter - it says so clearly in the product description! Shame on people for blaming someone else for their inability to read.
