4 out of 5 eggsKeys wear

Pros: Back-lit keys and adjustable color. I don't use the macros and other features.
The main selling point was the detachable keypad. I use the num-pad for games because wasd doesn't cut cut it for me and moving the keyboard over isn't an option due to my small desk.

Cons: The numbers wear off so you can't read them. Not a deal breaker, but kind of a shame because I like the keyboard otherwise.

Other Thoughts: Seems like they don't make this anymore, but I hope MS replaces it with a better made model with similar features.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Backlight
Smooth keystrokes
Easy to Use
Detachable num-pad

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: It's a great keyboard for the price. I don't have much use for the macro keys but have tried them out to at least make sure they work...they do.

The backlight is great and offers a good amount of 'glow' for use in the dark. I have had this for almost a year now and all the keys remain extremely responsive and there is no damage to speak of.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor quality

Pros: * The numeric keypad is removable and can be joined on either (or no) side.
* The macros work, when programmed correctly.
* Backlight is adjustable without software.

Cons: * The plastic wears away very easily with regular use; I can't even read some of the keys anymore.
* Not ergonomic at all and you can't raise the back (no legs).
* Microsoft Intellitype required to adjust the volume, program macros, etc. -- a con for its many bugs and defects, including one driver bug that causes the volume knob to get stuck so that you have no control over the volume without unplugging the device (or restarting the USB hub/computer).
* Macros are awkward to program if you want any kind of complexity.

Other Thoughts: I've put in about 5,000-5,500 hours of use into this keyboard over the last few years. Wear started showing around 2,000 hours.

1 out of 5 eggsCtrl Key Sticks

Pros: Awesome customization and controls.

Cons: The Ctrl key has stuck since day one. It doesn't happen always and isn't physically stuck. I have to click it again to get it to register that it isn't stuck.

Other Thoughts: I'll probably just buy a cheap mechanical keyboard to replace this one, as this has become a real pain.

5 out of 5 eggsX6 Sidewinder

Pros: 1. Lasts. I've had this board since 2009 and It's held up very well for being a non mechanical keyboard. I'm typing on it right now FYI.
2. The lighting is by far the best I've seen, although it's red, the light channels between keys are a nice touch
3. MASSIVE space bar. Love it
4 The removable pad is nice for someone like me who's a left handed typer mostly, and i can use it on the left side
5. Built in handrest
6. No sticky keys (ahemm RAZ*R!)

Cons: 1. The knobs are mehh, a little weird
2. The 'W' key likes to not respond every now and then in BF3, idk it's the only game where it seems ghosting could be an issue.
3. Wish it had blue/white for the LED's.

Other Thoughts: Holds up well, I may sell it to get a mechanical keyboard. My friend will get a darn good keyboard I probably will miss, but I really want to try a mechanical :D

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent keyboard

Pros: reversible keypad for left handed use. Programmable hotkeys, backlight on keyboard for night use, audio controls on keyboard

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have owned this keyboard since December 2011 and have had no problems. All the keys still work and all the letters are still on the board. I have never programmed hotkeys before ( I haven't gamed in years), but finally did with this keyboard and it was very easy to do. I love the backlight which allows me to work in the evening/night with ease. I highly recommend and would by this again.

5 out of 5 eggsMicrosoft Sidewinder X6 Keyboard

Pros: I bought this keyboard to replace my old Logitech G15, and after a few month's worth of constant use I am truly impressed. I really like the removable number pad, as it saves a lot of room on my desk. The backlit keys are easy to see at night and can be dimmed or turned off entirely when not needed. It's been both reliable as well as durable.

Cons: There are no folding feet to elevate the top of the keyboard like most others, but I "modded" a set of 1" feet which made the keys a bit easier to see and use.

Other Thoughts: Except for the lack of folding feet/tabs, this has been an excellent keyboard with zero defects. The keys remain clear and easy to see and shows zero wear in over 3 months of continuous use.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat gaming keyboard

Pros: This is my first gaming keyboard but I have to say its been great. Backlighting is amazing keystrokes are nice and smooth and the macros are easy to use and really handy in quite a few games also the detachable numpad is really nice if you dont have alot of space or if your left handed.
If your looking for a good board get this one.

Cons: Backlighting could be a bit brighter but still is quite bright so not so much of a con.

4 out of 5 eggsDespite a few annoyances - Great

Pros: The tactile response on the keyboard is really nice. The adjustable backlightting has a fantastic orange look, and the dimmer switch works great. The various features of the programmable keys are really nice and the placement of the main set are easy to operate - an important feature while in the middle of a fight. The basic performance has been terrific.

Cons: I have two complaints. The first is related to the detachable 10-key pad. It is a nice feature and completely idiot-proof. Its incredibley easy to switch sides, which is where it also has a problem. On more than one occassion, I've accidently detached it because it's magnetic attachment releases a little too easily. Minor annoyance, but still a negative. The larger complaint for me personally is that it doesn't have the little feet on the bottom to prop it up. Probably completely meaningless to some, but for those of us who like our keyboards tilted a bit, it can be annoying that such a simple and common feature is missing.

Other Thoughts: The cons I mentioned are both annoyances that have not adversely effected the overall performance of the keyboard. I'm happy with it, and some of the more important features - i.e. tactile response, backlighting, ease of use on the programmable aspects, make it a terrific buy.

4 out of 5 eggsA Good Sturdy Keyboard!

Pros: Good sturdy keyboard, after messing around with various higher priced Logitech items.

I like the ability to remove the keypad - though often go to use it and find it's in my drawer.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: A couple of annoyances that are probably just down to me - I've been using computer keyboards since around 1982, find that Caps lock has been inadvertently pressed. The backlight on the keyboard is better than most but as with all others unless your looking completely down on it it still isn't too useful. The knobs are a little pointless in my view.
