5 out of 5 eggsNice for the price!

Pros: Design, feel, and price. I have an ms comfort 5000 that I love. I got this for work. Very similar keyboard look and feel. Standard layout. No frills.

Cons: Action is a little softer than my comfort 5000. But that's not really a criticism.

Other Thoughts: I do like my comfort 5000 better. I feels a little sturdier and has a nicer design. But for $20, this was exactly what I was looking to get.

Pros: Very comfortable. Using is low fatigue when keyboard is new. Gaming ok when keyboard is new.

Cons: Keys become less responsive quickly, eventually some not working at all, then keyboard is useless and trash. I'm on my 6th one of these between two pc's at work and three at home. They keep failing, then I buy another because they are cheap and comfortable for my reach( I'm tall and regular keyboards are tough to get my hands onto for fast typing). I should have stopped buying these long ago. I've finally had enough and the $23 price tag isn't low enough, now going to try to find something different for more money.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice for the Price

Pros: I have owned this keyboard for 6 years.. finally getting around to replacing it (with another identical model). Some keys (most notably the "up" key) stopped working. Otherwise, I have been very happy with this keyboard - nothing fancy, but very reliable, durable and feels good underneath my fingers. After 6 years, the paint on the keys has not faded at all. The keyboard has survived cats, dust, pizza fingers and more. Keys are very easy to keep clean. I've never used the keys above the function keys, but I find the calculator button incredibly useful. Tactile feedback is good and the keys aren't too noisy.

Cons: Some keys stopped working.. but only after 6 years of use.

Other Thoughts: If you need a basic USB keyboard for under $30, go for it.

4 out of 5 eggsIt lasted 3 years

Pros: It lasted 3 years, it has USB, Ergonomic, has the correct layout for the delete, home and end buttons (not a really long Delete button)

Cons: It wore out after 3 years the n, h, and y keys have become sporadic at best. It has short low profile keys that wear out easily and aren't as pleasant to type on.

Other Thoughts: I was going to come here and give the keyboard 2 stars because it has broken. Then I realized that I bought it 3 years ago... I think I'll let it slide.

5 out of 5 eggsBest basic keyboard you could find

Pros: Whether or not you like the curve really is up to the positioning of your forearms. Mine are inwards, so it makes sense for this. It's simple, well-built, the keystrokes feel nice (unlike the rattle of chiclet keyboards) and it's has the right amount of media buttons (unlike those volume dials of 90s keyboards).

Also, if you work a lot with numbers, you will NEVER go back once you've had the calculator button above the numpad. I initially thought it was dumb. But now I can't live without it.

Cons: My room is rather dusty and humid (I live in Malaysia) so the keyboard needs cleaning once a month at least.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks so far

Pros: I've a couple reviews on here saying that some of their keys have stopped functioning. I've owned this for about 1-2 months and haven't experienced anything like that.. yet. It's a nice quiet, cheap keyboard that provide a good angle for my wrists. Not much else to say.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsBroke <1 year

Pros: nice layout, seems to help w/speed & since I have reduced flextion, is easy to work with.

Cons: some of the keys stopped working. Except for the key not working, I like this keyboard.

Other Thoughts: Just called Microsoft & they will give me a refund after I fax them a copy of my invoice & return the unit (at their expense), so even though it's a low dollar item, I don't have to throw it in the trash.

5 out of 5 eggsWavey!

Pros: Exactly fits my end user's preferences for curve and angle.
Unexpetedly tough.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I am not usually a fan of things Microsoft makes, but they do know thier keyboards. I bought this one as a replacement for an identical model. A recent move found the (4 year) old keyboard on a desk under some shelves. Our cats love to be up in and on shelves. For whatever reason they discovered a new game - Land on the Keyboard! That old thing took 7 and 14 pounds of cat bashing at its keypad for months before finally waving the white flag.

1 out of 5 eggsKey failure

Pros: Looks nice, not too many extra buttons. Is not too big, feels good.

Cons: Space bar is loud. Very lightweight, and cheaply made.

Other Thoughts: I bought this back in January and had no problems out of it. The other day the control button died, then the caps lock key died. Soon after the period and space bar died. It is just dying one key at a time. This was my first time buying from newegg and did not keep the box it came in. Looks like I got stuck with a poor keyboard. I am very disappointed in how the keyboard died on me so soon after purchasing it.
