5 out of 5 eggssolid LED backlight keyboard

Pros: nice low profile keys, not exactly silent typing, but that's not why I bought this keyboard. I've run through a few backlit keyboards before, and this is definitely the best so far. Its over 3 years old and doesn't show any real signs of wear, apart from a splotch of ketchup and where I spilled a beer one time.

I don't use the macro keys as I'm a console gaming guy, but its great to have media player controls and LED dimmer switch

Cons: I like the red led colors, but would be cool to see blue as an option

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong!

Pros: Bought this keyboard on 9/10/2012, still using it today (7/8/2015) without issue.

Microsoft Mouse & Keyboard Center runs flawlessly in Win 7, 8.x & 10 Technical Preview.

Cons: Not dishwasher safe! ;)

Other Thoughts: Can't be beat for the price!

5 out of 5 eggsBest membrane keyboard

Pros: I spent about thirty bucks, and it CANNOT be beat at that price.

- nice macro options
- adjustable backlight is really really nice to have
- although can't compete with mechanical, I really like the feel of the keys

Cons: - plastic chassis feels jenky

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solid, sturdy, long life, slim keys, good back light. Better than the average keyboard. Good price - at the time.

Cons: A couple years later, now this much?! At the end of it's life, keys start getting stuck. I've taken it completely apart down to the membrane, sensor board and splash shield and cleaned it thoroughly with compressed air and alcohol wipes yet it still getting stuck. I've also rubbed the paint off the keys at this point, but that's typical.

I was going to give it 5 eggs, but the price is outrageous. It's better than the average keyboard, but it's not a deity of keyboards either. $100 would be the high end of a fair price.

Other Thoughts: If you're willing to spend the price for a top-of-the line processor on a keyboard, it won't let you down - for a while.

5 out of 5 eggsnewegg you messed up the price dude

Pros: Keyboard isn't mechanical and that's why it's 30-40 bucks. However it's lasted me for over two years and the red LED has two or three settings on a specific button that toggles it. Can't complain, it isn't loud when I'm recording audio but it's good enough to be used in FPS and other PC games. I've been recommending this keyboard to all my friends who've begun building their own systems, and besides next tax return you can always splurge on a $150 keyboard later.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Very durable and lasting

Pros: it's ok keyboard works well

Cons: kinda small

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Nice

Pros: Affordable for what it is
hot-keys
back-lighting
sleek looking
comfortable

Cons: nothing comes to mind

Other Thoughts: I purchased this laptop for a second PC in our house. I had been using the Logitech G110 and after buying this keyboard I kind of wish I had bought it for myself. This thing just looks a lot better in person. don't hesitate to buy it if you're already considering it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great for gaming and regular use

Pros: Comfortable to use

Macro keys are easy to assign, either to key combinations or to applications through the software

Brightness of backlit keys is easily adjustable/turned off

Media keys work with just about every program I've used

Absolutely no ghosting

The calculator key is actually really nice as a science student

Cons: Wrist rest does not detatch

Media keys do not work while the current window is OpenOffice or Libreoffice. This is the ONLY program I've every had to alt tab to change the volume/skip a song. It even works through games.

Other Thoughts: I decided to go with this over a more expensive mechanical keyboard. At the sale price I got it at, I figured it could last me for a long time. Maybe it isn't as comfortable as a mechanical keyboard, but it is well equipped with features. and is just nice to use. I may well stick with Microsoft components over Razer or Logitech in the future.
