5 out of 5 eggsPerfect keyboard

Pros: -Nice key feeling
-Lots of macros
-Useful keys
-Nice desing
-Soft backlight

Cons: -Noisy
The MAJ key is slow to get back in it's position, often causing typos like this : it'S.

Other Thoughts: From all the keyboard I've ever used or tried. I shall say that the Microsoft SideWinder X4 was the best. I have it for 8 years now and it's still working perfectly well. It is just perfect.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor response

Pros: Good "normal" use board

Cons: Poor response due to sticky keys and membrane wears quickly

Other Thoughts: This board started to perform poorly, for gaming, almost a month after I purchased it. Like another guy mentioned I just used an old dell board I had lying around which responded MUCH better.

2 out of 5 eggsMembrane Keys

Pros: Attractive keyboard with back-lit keys for low light gaming.

Cons: Membrane keys. If you're a regular gamer the keys will wear out. The thin rubber springs will tear with any repetitive use. About the time the warranty ran out the membranes actually started to tear and could no longer hold the weight of the keys. The life of this keyboard can be extended if you feel like performing surgery on the keys, but one by one you'll end up having to open it up to try to repair the membranes. For the price this ends up having the shelf live of a much cheaper keyboard.

Other Thoughts: Buy a mechanical keyboard if you regularly game. This looks nice, but it will fail on you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: I have had this for a couple years now. It has been through spills and drops and still works like a champ. If this one ever dies I will buy another.

Cons: None so far.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: Looked like it had good potential for the price. Has good functionality with the extra keys.

Cons: Keys would constantly stick up, which is horrible when gaming. I would have to double hit keys sometimes to actually get them to engage. Finally gave up and found an old Dell keyboard that worked better.

5 out of 5 eggsA Quite Pleasant Keyboard

Pros: It's a backlit keyboard that looks nice, feels nice, and stands the test of time. I've had my keyboard for a little over a year and a half, and nothing has changed; It is still a good looking, well working board. Microsoft's software has worked fine for me, and the ability to make program specific modes has been great.

Cons: The shiny material it's made out of shows small scratches from cleaning, fingerprints, and anything else.

Other Thoughts: Macro keys are rarely used, but that's just because I never remember them.

3 out of 5 eggsIf you dont like Macros

Pros: Not a bad design
Functioned as desired

Cons: Horrible Macro Program

Other Thoughts: Had this keyboard for about 2 years, wanted to set up macros the entire time but the macro program from Microsoft just was not up to par with the competition. After many hours and lots of frustration I gave up on the macros.... yeah you can call me stupid or whatever you want for not being able to set it up. But IMO given the price of the product, I can buy (now) a mechanical logitech, or razer, and get much better macro programs - so why does this keyboard still hold the price it does?

Spilled a drink in it and it did not recover so replaced it with the Logitech g710+ and never looked back. Logitech macro programs top this by massive amounts that I think should drop the sidewinder by like 50% price.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Keyboard, but get it on sale

Pros: -Red back light
-Has a good feel
-Basic macros

Cons: -Only a red back light
-Macros sometimes fail to work
-Can't do very advanced things with macros
-Macros only work on certain programs
-Not worth $100...

Other Thoughts: I am glad I got this keyboard on sale for $50, it is a good keyboard and I am loving it, but the price when it is not on sale is outrageous...
Macros are not the best, advised that you don't get this keyboard if you are heavily into macros.
You can get a much better keyboard for the same non-sale price.
