1 out of 5 eggsWorst keyboard I've ever used

Pros: Ergonomic, shortcut keys are nice. That's it.

Cons: Every few seconds, it will either stop registering keystrokes all together and/or register the keystrokes absolutely wrong, by either ignoring a set of keystrokes for a couple of seconds, then catching up, skipping random keys, and duplicating others. (For example, "theen" "cathig" and "keyeys" were all keyboard induced typos while writing this review so far.) Makes typing anything or playing a game impossible. It never stops. Ever. I'm a professional video editor who makes a living off keyboard shortcuts and this severely cripples my workflow.

I've changngeged (there it goes again, I wish I was making this up... I've corrected the rest typos in this review)

I've changed batteries several times, reinstalled drivers, tried different computers, no luck. I contacted Microsoft support, got a replacement, which worked for about 6-10 days, and fell back into old habits, so I did not just get a lemon. Save your money and get a nice wired keyboard, you barely get what you pay for with th

Other Thoughts: The wireless mouse I got with the replacement keyboard is just as bad.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Keyboard for Work

Pros: This keyboard is extremely comfortable. While it doesn't have the padded palm rest of its predecessor, the v2, the rubberized surface is still quite pleasant to type on. The product feels to be of medium-high quality overall - they keyboard is light and flexes slightly, but the fit and finish are top-notch. The keys have a crisp action and are quiet. Aesthetics are also nice, and the clear media and favorite keys look sharp. As for wireless connectivity, I haven't had any issues in this area. It took a few tries to get the device to sync initially, but it's been rock solid ever since. No noticeable lag (compared to other wifi keyboards, at least), no interference from other wireless devices (Logitech wireless mouse), and I tested the range out to 20 feet without any issues. I also like the clean integration of the Intellitype software into the Windows Keyboard control panel. The application is lightweight, sufficiently customizable, and otherwise unobtrusive.

Cons: - The spacebar clicks loudly for some reason when depressed on the right side only. Strange, but certainly not the end of the world.
- The F keys. I hate that more and more keyboards are trying to replace the F keys with useless functions. The actual F# labels are written in white on the light gray plastic above the keys, making them nearly impossible to read without direct light. Microsoft is far from the only company to do this so I can't fault them exclusively here.
- The F-key spacing. I know others have complained here. For work and daily use, they're fine (save for the above issue). However if I'm gaming I need to be able to save/load a game quickly without searching for the right key. It's just a matter of time until I accidentally save instead of loading or vice versa. Also, having the Esc key blended into the row makes it tricky to count over the proper number of keys.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this is an excellent keyboard for an office setting. Typing for extended periods of time is extremely comfortable, the product is high-quality and has a clean, professional appearance. People who game regularly (especially those who do so in the dark) may want to look elsewhere.

1 out of 5 eggsJust stay the heck away from this

Pros: ·Wireless gave me up to 5-10 feet
· Keys did not make noise when I type
· Typing is more comfortable than your usual keyboard
· Makes you feel like you made a good investment on this product
· Despite the warranty expiration date, I was able to get this product replaced with a new one

Cons: · Makes you feel like you made a really bad investment on this product after 1year+.
· My 1st 6000 froze over a year later after purchased and nothing could fixed it (probably a circuit issue)
· 2nd 6000, after 1year+ too, malfunctioned, this time it randomly typed certain keys, making it next to impossible to work on Microsoft Word or similar applications. I gave up on this product afterwards.

Other Thoughts: Not worth the investment, causes problems in the longrun, made me lose faith in the Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse products. Bought a few of them, all didn`t do so well in the long run.

3 out of 5 eggsOK Keyboard

Pros: I bought this keyboard about 6 months ago. It's easy to use and stylish.

Cons: The Function keys are not marked instead, the markings appear in white lettering on gray background above the keys. They are hard to read. No lights to indicate num-lock or caps-lock are on/off, but there is a short screen display when you turn them on/off.
I put the USB connection in the back of my PC and the keyboard lost communication with it so I had to put it to the front.

Other Thoughts: To me the above con's don't matter. However is someone put a keyboard without the con's in front of me I would probably choose it over this one.

5 out of 5 eggsNice and quiet

Pros: Comfortable wrist and hand position. Quiet typing. Nice style. Low price.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I use one of these at work every day, and I have one on one of my machines at home. I haven't experienced the short range receiver issue with either. Both are about 3 feet apart. I have two of the Logitech Wave keyboards, and I must say I like the 6000 much better. Slightly more compact, and definitely more comfortable for me. The key noise is substantially less.

1 out of 5 eggsUseless

Pros: Comfortable typing position

Cons: Keyboard has problems communicating with USB tranceiver. Constant missed letters in every word. Lag and delay for the ones it does manage to type. Will not work at all if placed on lap. Speach recognition software is a much more accurate method for inputting text. Prepare to be p0wned if you attempt to use this for gaming. Returning to big box office store where purchaced and ordering a wired keyboard from Newegg.

Other Thoughts: Troubleshooting:
- I changed the included batteries for new Duracells
- Repositioned the USB tranceiver to the front and set up the keyboard within 18 inches of the tranceiver
- Downloaded newest drivers from Microsoft

5 out of 5 eggsTerrific keyboard

Pros: Extremely comfortable, customizable "favorites" keys, shortcut keys all work flawlessly. Installed configuration application is very easy to use.

Cons: Requires CD to install for full functionality

Other Thoughts: I assume the regular HID driver would work without the CD install so you could use the keyboard but I installed the CD and selected my keyboard's item # during the wizard. Took 2-3 minutes and worked immediately. I'm very pleased and can't beat the newegg price.
