Pros: We have repeatedly purchased this keyboard many times because its key layout is perfect. So, why the three star rating. We gave it only three stars because of the internal design of the spacebar on the keyboard. See: Cons

Cons: Having owned many of these keyboards our only complaint is the internal (mechanical) design of the spacebar—it is 5¾" wide centered on the keyboard over 1 physical key-switch. It has a torsion spring in it that is designed to make the switch functional across the entire wide key; but therein is the design flaw—due to the weakness of the mechanism over time (a month or so of regular use) the key does not work well when it is pressed from either of the sides. the switch binds up so that when you type on the space bar you get no results. The switch still works; but, once the initial lubrication wears off the plastic limiters designed to aid the torsion bar to provide enough pressure to activate the single key switch bind up and the switch is not activated unless you can train yourself to always press the space bar directly in the center (over the key-switch itself.

Other Thoughts: We have been able to keep these keyboards in service by using "White Lightning brand white bicycle chain lubricant". We would be pleased to see Microsoft split this long spacebar into two distinct keys—one for each thumb. That simple change would make this keyboard perfect!.

Pros: Feels Great and works as intended. The keys dont rub off after alot of use. I use mine alot at work all day long.

Cons: The only con i'm giving this is that its not Waterproof. I spilled my coffee on it and now a few keys aren't working. Hopefully they work after taking keyboard apart and cleaning it but if not i'll be buying another one of these tomorrow.

Other Thoughts: Great keyboard. If you need a keyboard for work or for home and dont use it for gaming then get this. So much better than your average keyboard.

Pros: Application and volume keys, the perfect curve.

Cons: Lasted less than 2 months and several keys have stopped working.

Pros: Nice looking design and layout, heavy enough so it stays put, good texture on the keys

Cons: If you rest your hands on the hand rest, it pushes the plastic against the space bar causing it to stay down and become erratic

Other Thoughts: This is my first ergonomic keyboard in years but some joint pain in the hands led me down this path as a way to help. I am getting used to the new hand orientation changes from a "standard" keyboard, but the one thing that may break it for me is the hand rest. When you let your hands rest on it from the home position, as many of us might do, it pushes the plastic in front of the space bar forward to close the gap and make the space bar stick. It's annoying because you'll be typing along and realize that the space bar either isn't working or it's adding many spaces because it's in the stuck down position. My only solution is to lift my hands while I type (making my high school typing teacher proud!) but defeating the benefit of the rest.
Otherwise, this is a sturdy keyboard with many features and function that I'll surely explore in the coming weeks.

Pros: Great Keyboard

Cons: I was sent an out of box, looks to be refurbished keyboard. Not up to my standards.

Pros: Easy to get used to once you have it for a little while. Love the feel of the keys and all the added functions on the keyboard. I work IT for a small business and order these for most of the people in the office and they also love it (after they get used to it of course). I have a hard time working on regular keyboards now.

Cons: non that I can think of other than getting used to using (really isn't that bad, just feels weird at first).

Pros: I have been using old Microsoft split keyboard since 2001. It still works but I wanted to keep it as a backup and upgrade to a black one to match other peripherals. Only split keyboard I could find that I liked and it has worked great so far.

Pros: I have been using an older keyboard—the retail version—for years, so I already know this is a great keyboard. I can type on this keyboard all day and night without the slightest bit of fatigue.

Cons: There are simply no cons with this keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I had a spill on my old one, and it was old and dirty, so while cleaning it up, I ordered a new one so I'd have two. What I received is NOT the business version. It has the extra support included that goes under the wrist rest, but the Start/Windows button is NOT what's pictured here, and this keyboard also does not have the white-text labels under all the special keys at the top. When I go to look at the Retail and Business versions of this keyboard on the Microsoft website, the business version has white text labels BESIDE some of the keys that the retail version does not have. Therefore THIS keyboard is the RETAIL version. It's like they took a retail version, put the extra support under the wrist rest, and stuck it all in a brown box like the one pictured for the business version. Only they forgot to include the software/driver disk, so I had to go download all that myself. I'm only giving this keyboard five eggs because it deserves it. However, if I only had the chance to review the people who packaged this thing and stuck the wrong keyboard in it...

Pros: After years of wrist pain, trying to stregthen/stretch/etc., and nothing working I ordered one of these keyboards. Now, after 10+ years I still keep coming back each time I order a new one. This is my 5th keyboard because I have 2 at home, work has bought 2 and have bought one for work.

Cons: There's nothing to indicate you have accidentally pushed the Insert key.

Pros: Best keyboard ever. I have had it many years and it still works. Have to buy a new one because I spilt something on it and the "m" key sticks. Great product!

Cons: None...it does everything I want it to.
