2 out of 5 eggsIt's a keyboard... kind of

Pros: It makes letters and numbers most of the time.

Cons: Sticky keys that are horrible for repeating themselves. Shift key is the worst I have EVER used on any keyboard in the last 20 years or so.

Other Thoughts: OK if you type like a one fingered sloth, but even with my pitiful 65-80 words/minute there are a ton of "double strikes" and repeated letters. or it doesn't respond fast enough and it misses letters. Long story, short: double letters where you don't want them, single letters where you want doubles.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid affordable keyboard

Pros: Has a solid feel. Doesnt feel flimsy or cheap. Works flawlessly on Windows 7. Simple, straight forward keyboard, no additional features.

Cons: Windows 8 and 8.1 incompatible. Keyboard will shutdown every 5 seconds if a key is not pushed. Holding a key does not prevent it from shutting down.

There are two solutions to this issue.

First solution is to go into Device Manager, go to Human Interface Devices, keyboard will be a USB Input Device, right click one go to properties, go to Power Management Tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the device. (This solved the issue for me.)

Second solution, if the first does not work for you, is to go to Devices and Printers and open the properties on USB Keyboard, go to the Hardware tab, select Properties, then Change Settings in the General Tab, then go over to Power Management and uncheck the option to allow the computer to turn off the device. Be sure to also do this with the "USB Input Device" in the hardware tab. Either of them could be causing the issue.

The Device manager workaround fixed it for me. Hopefully one of those two options can solve your problem if you end up purchasing this keyboard!

Other Thoughts: Not holding the incompatibility against this keyboard since there is a way to make it work. Besides, this keyboard could have been made before Windows 8 was even a thing.

5 out of 5 eggsgood keyboard

Pros: - cheap
- comfortable

It worked well for over a year.

Cons: - it breaks easy.

I bought it for my younger brother, who -- in his rage -- tore it in half. Beware it isn't sturdy enough to prevent roid rage.

5 out of 5 eggsgood keyboard

Pros: Works great, no issues with keys. keys are easy to take out and clean. great price. not very loud.

Cons: To me it seemd like it gets dirty faster than other keyboards that I have had probably because of the surface of the keys and the way the keys are it makes it slightly difficult to clean when placed in.

5 out of 5 eggsLow Cost, Works Great!

Pros: I tried several inexpensive keyboards to provide for my customers. Most were junk. These work great. I reorder a few every couple of months.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsBad unit...disconnects at random

Pros: For the price, a reasonable keyboard...if it worked right. Good, standard key layout with number pad.

Cons: Unit I received has some issues disconnecting every few minutes. Seems to be electrical, not mechanical. Too cheap to deal with returning.

Keys are quiet, but mushy. Long travel on the key press.

Other Thoughts: I got a dud. Will just keep this one as a backup and get a better quality one for everyday use.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great for the price

Pros: This keyboard is designed to be very functional, without any extra frills while being cost effective (ok its cheap). It fit my needs perfectly as I was sick of my wireless keyboard having latency issues in games.

Cons: This keyboard will pretty much fill anyone's basic needs but lacks specialization like LED lighting the keys and what not. If you want cool features this is not the product for you.

To me the keys feel a little "mushy" compared to most keyboards but you get use to it. It definitely does not have the nice crisp feel of a mechanical keyboard but those come with a premium.

5 out of 5 eggsPower Saving Mode

Pros: cheap keyboard all the keys work, quiet, keys dont bind pushing them at certain angles like other cheap keyboards. doesnt have the power/sleep buttons (pro for me i hate those)

Cons: the keyboard in windows 8.1 (not sure if it does this in other versions of windows) will go into sleep mode if u dont press a key every 5 seconds. even if u hold down a key it will do this. if u happen to press a key the second its going to sleep the key wont register. if u hold down a key and it goes to sleep the key gets stuck until u push it again. this can happen to shift too making all your letters capital with caplocks off. this makes it not viable for gaming at all. see below how to fix it

Other Thoughts: go into control panel in devices and printers and open usb keyboard.
goto hardware tab and highlight usb input device and click properties.
in general tab click change settings
in power management tab uncheck allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
this can not be done in device manager, it is a separate setting.
dont ask why its set to default like this, its a bit ridiculous considering a keyboard at idle may use like .00000001 watt of power an hour (exaggerated, kinda)
i still gave the keyboard 5 stars cuz its a great keyboard for 10 bucks and this issue is windows fault not the keyboards even tho theyre both made by microsoft and i know that has something to do with it since other keyboards dont behave like this. but now its just as good as those.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard If You’re Not Using Windows 8.1

Pros: Well the keyboard looks great and feels great. Nice smooth typing. Love it. See cons

Cons: Well the reviews about it not working in 8 or 8.1 don’t come up till after I order it so I tried to use it in windows 8.1 and there right it doesn’t work so my new keyboard won’t work for me so I switched out my mom’s keyboard which is a Logitech and that works fine. So my mom got the new one and I got the old one oh well at least I have one. So if you’re using 8 or 8.1 don’t get it go with something else.

Other Thoughts: I will be emailing Microsoft about this issue
