1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money

Pros: * Mouse doesn't suck as badly as keyboard.
* I only wasted a small amount of money on it.

Cons: * Poor Bluetooth range
* Mushy keys
*Terrible keyboard layout
* Crummy feel

Other Thoughts: I bought this combo from another retailer a few months ago. Words do not adequately describe how much I hate the keyboard. The keys are mushy, the shift keys release too slowly (causing EXtra CApital LEtters), and in general I have more typos on this keyboard than any other one that I use.

The keyboard layout is atrocious. If you look at the pics, you can see that there is *no* gap between the Delete key and the Insert key. I constantly bump Insert by accident when backspacing, which switches Windows into overtype mode. Leaving aside the question of why overtype mode even exists in 2015, this is incredibly annoying.

Another layout issue is that the F-keys are microscopic and sit low to the bezel. This makes them quite hard to press if you have larger fingers.

In order to find these issues, I first had to get it to work. M$ says that it has a 15' range, but at 2.5 to 3' (20% of quoted range) the mouse was jumpy and the keyboard dropped 20-25% of characters I typed.

I had a USB male to female extender cable in my Box of Obsolete Tech, which I used to move the dongle closer. After some testing, I found that the keyboard only works reliably if it is within 3-4 inches of the dongle -- 2% or less of the stated range. The mouse is (very) slightly better, in that it works up to about 1' -- 7% of quoted range.

The only good thing about this combo is that the mouse is not bad (when it's in range). I plan to use the mouse with my laptop, and throw the keyboard into the e-waste bin at work.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It's a basic wireless keyboard. Battery life seems to be good. Price is very good.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've seen a lot of reviews on this that bash the distance ability. I sit about 7 ft from one my PCs which is attached to my Smart TV for watching applications I can't get on the Smart TV but can on the Internet. I have at this time had absolutely no problems with it.

This is a very standard keyboard/mouse. It is not what I would choose for gaming. If you are looking for a standard keyboard with reasonable range and good battery life. This will serve your needs.

Pros: It works nice. No issues.

Cons: Missing indicator LEDs for caps lock, etc. But I don't use those anyway.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks with no drivers

Pros: Cheap, decent key feel, good radio range.

Cons: No numlock, capslock, scroll lock indicator LED. You have to install Microsoft software in order to get an on-screen keylock status, which is not as good as LEDs (especially for hunt-and-peck typists)

2 out of 5 eggsStopped working after 2 months

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Stopped working after a few months. One of the key inputs appears to be held down indefinitely.

Other Thoughts: I purchased a 3 year warranty, because these things have a high failure rate. I have made two replacement requests and have yet to hear anything from Newegg. Am I doing something wrong? I provided the invoice # and product # and received confirmation emails. Over a week later, and still no information.

1 out of 5 eggsCoffee Cup = Stutter Step

Pros: FOR A VERY SMALL PRICE and within 23 inches, line-of-sight, to the USB transceiver, this combo is almost acceptable. It is supposed to be a wireless combo keyboard and mouse, by "MICROSOFT". It certainly has their name on it. But if you put the slightest signal absorbing object or material even near the mouse or slightly in the way, its wireless connection is very sub-standard, even for a product in this price range. The mouse can be made to stutter step across the screen by simply placing a plastic go-cup of coffee within six inches. If I were a product developer for Microsoft Corporation, I would expect to be applying for a job somewhere else, tomorrow morning. Why bother putting your company name on such an inferior product, regardless of price? Truly a waste of time and money regardless of price and use. Good grief.

Cons: The Pro's speak for themselves. (Regardless of price)

4 out of 5 eggsgreat wireless moue

Pros: So far everything is great including the USB stick that comes with it and both mouse and keyboard.

Cons: When a little further away (about 5 feet) it skips a little bit, i wanted to be able to go further, but that could be because of interference as well.
