4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Game compatibility.

Cons: Small.
Placement of left thumb stick still weirds me out.

Other Thoughts: Was previously using a Logitech Rumblepad 2. It's an eventfully controller that had survived much abuse, but it's starting to show its' age. Since i was getting tired of having to tweak files and genes into thinking it was an Xbox controller, i decided to get this thing. They, and the newest Logitech gamepads seem mired in issues. Once Logitech releases a next one, I'll likely get that. But fire now, this x360 controller.

It works fine. The Range is good, the button response is fine. The only thing i really don't care for is that it's too small. I know its supposed to me made so above can use it, but it doesn't really support a wide grip. I'll survive.

Price was good, shipping was fast.

I really aly would've preferred the XBone contriller, but M$ are being cheap dorks, and dragging their feet on its' wireless capability for PC. Since i primarily use this on my htpc games, using a cord is useless.

1 out of 5 eggsBeware the wireless adapter

Pros: Its a controller that can connect wirelessly.

Cons: I was essentially forced to buy this by game developers who refuse to put in proper controller support for their games and assume every one has one of these.

To upset me even more than the above, the wireless adapter stopped working about a month after I got it. The controller still works and I can actually use it on my friends Xbox 360 ... that's the only use I have for it though.

Other Thoughts: When the adapter fried I searched a solution and it turns out this is fairly common for this device (chalk it up to "quality assurance" from Microsoft, thanks for your line of unreliable gaming devices). It is repairable with a soldering iron and replacement adapters are around $10. But I don't have a soldering iron and I don't feel like spending another $10 to use this, so its effectively collecting dust now.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Windows Controller but ...

Pros: Great X-box type controller for windows 7 64bit, I suppose.

Cons: No hardware on/off button on controller section, itself.

Other Thoughts: Had to search for a software app for turning off unit. BTW- being a exclusive PC user, if you are not used to these types of controllers, you may find it a steep learning curve. I did not like this type of controller, so I returned it. Sorry to say, it was my order error & I had to pay return freight, willingly.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great.

Pros: Still using it and it still feels new. The receiver is flawless. Long wire and long range even without the wire extended. Can connect more controllers than one. Perfect for multiplayers on pc via emulators.

Cons: RB and LB lose reliability. Bad design is the cause.

5 out of 5 eggsmicrosoft

Pros: You already know what you are getting at this point in time. It's a standard 360 controller that comes with the usb wireless receiver to use it on a pc. Too bad it does not come with the play and charge kit, as using regular batteries can be a pain to keep up with fresh ones, although just like when used with a 360 it does get very good battery life so your not swapping them all that often.

Cons: No play-n-charge kit included.

Other Thoughts: Buy the play-n-charge kit when you buy this.

It's a console grade controller, beats all PC controller options expect I do also like the Razer Sabertooth, as it is on par with this build quality, feels very nice, and has a few more features specific to playing on a PC, just no wireless, which if playing FPS then wired is the way to go. But for most other genera of games wireless is generally no problem.

Pros: Works well on Windows. Comfortable.

Cons: Analogue sticks are unresponsive near the middle. Fine motion is not possible. Diagonal selection with the D-pad is difficult.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect

Pros: Easy hookup, worked right out of the box. No issues whatsoever. Didn't need to configure anything. I have two of these hooked up through one receiver.

Cons: Not a con for me, but some people might not like that there is zero software configuration.

Other Thoughts: Bought to use with Lego Star Wars III: Clone Wars. We are running that through Steam.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect to play oldschool 2d indie games on Steam

Pros: Cheap.
Comes with a controller and a wireless dongle.
Plug and play.
Works out of the box with most games on Steam.

Cons: Drivers are stable but lacking features.
No way to know batteries power level.
No way to close the controller after use.
D pad is really bad.

Other Thoughts: It is the 360 controller for PC. No need to say more except that there's no way to know the battery power level on PC. Also you can't close the controller after use. It will clause itself automatically after some time but it is still a problem. If you stop playing let's say Rogue Legacy and then want to start to play Metro then Metro will automatically work in controller mode cause the controller is still on. There's 3rd party software to clause it (you can find them with a simple search) but this feature should be included with the drivers.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks, but can't turn it off

Pros: Exact same controller as Xbox360.
Wireless USB dongle for PC has long cord (about 5 ft).
Good range (15 ft or more).
Worked perfectly with Titanfall - no setup required.

Cons: Can't turn the controller off. Normally, I would shut a controller off from the XBox menu, but the PC driver provides no control panel or anything. To turn it off, we have to momentarily open the battery compartment.

Other Thoughts: The instructions don't mention pairing. Just like with the XBox, you have to push the pairing button on both the controller and on the USB dongle to get it to work.
