5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Blend of Form and Function

Pros: This keyboard is perfect, as long as you're looking for a wired keyboard. It has all the standard buttons, volume +/-, Play/Pause, and a dedicated calculator button. There are no ridiculous macro keys, modifier keys, unnecessary lights, etc, and no software to install. It just works.

Let me emphasize: I love the dedicated calculator button!

This keyboard is the perfect combination of the quickness and short button throw of the Apple keyboard and the ergonomic features of the Microsoft Wireless Desktop Ergonomic keyboard, without the big price tag.

Standard windows shortcuts are labeled, i.e. Ctrl+C for copy, etc.

Cons: The body is gloss black plastic, so it is a magnet for fingerprints and pet hair, and also reflects the monitor. The keys are matte black, thankfully.

Other Thoughts: It is slightly curved, but doesn't feel curved...just comfortable. There is no gap between keys for the left and right hand, which is usually what frustrates people about ergonomic keyboards.

I use this keyboard for everything; gaming, programming, writing, video editing.

Buy one.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small footprint, well-made, calculator and audio buttons.

Cons: Takes a lot of getting used to. I'm not sure it will ever be a totally comfortable keyboard for me, but I'll keep using it and hope for the best.

Other Thoughts: If you can test this keyboard before you buy it, please do so. It's definitely off the beaten path if you're used to a regular keyboard or even the regular ergonomic style keyboards that MS makes.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's not the comfort curve you're used to...

Pros: The keyboard action is very good and has a nice feel.

Cons: This isn't the old comfort curve we fell in love with. The old one was concave - as in the keys depressed into the keyboard instead of coming up at you like a mountain.

Other Thoughts: Disappointed with Microsoft that they stopped creating the old recessed comfort curve, however it hasn't been too difficult to learn this new shape. I've had it about a week and am making very little typos at this point.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: Plug and play, nice action, very smooth, Lack of tilt feet not so noticeable, due to 'curved in 3D' shape. And of course, the ultimate pro, Newegg, this thing arrived much faster than expected! w00t!!!

Cons: The key press action is very smooth but also a bit higher than my old CC 2000. Some of the keys are a bit smaller as well

Other Thoughts: Wanted a smaller keyboard for my desktop at home, but with still some of the 'ergo' features, This overall fits the bill. One thing that is different (and I like) is the RH menu button is gone, Now it is a "fn" key, and to get the menu you press it and the right shift key. Helps keep the cat from raising havoc when he walks across the keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Good Keyboard and the keys are laid out pretty good.
Has some basic shortcut keys which are nice.

Cons: Collects dust really bad and easy to scratch up.
Keys are pretty soft

Other Thoughts: I have one of these at work and one at home now.
I'm not sure if they are helping my wrists at all but I guess time will tell.

4 out of 5 eggsDig It

Pros: No-frills keyboard. Plugs in and works.

Cons: No super-extreme gaming options (not sure of these options' utility either).

Other Thoughts: I really like the design. I was worried the comfort curve would be crazy to get used to; however, it feels pretty natural to use. I really like it.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Curved to fit the hands nicely. Short keys that are quiet when you type. Calculator button over the number pad, (very useful if you use it often). Mouse has blue LED instead of red and fits nicely in your hand, whether left or right.

Cons: N/A

4 out of 5 eggsWhy Did You Have To Change My Favorite Keyboard Microsoft?

Pros: Lightweight

Cons: No feet to raise the keyboard, no convenient shortcut keys arranged like the 2000 keyboard, too small and light, mouse is very plain. As another reviewer mentioned; Microsoft, to change just for the sake of changing is just plain idiotic. You would think you would have learned a lot from Millennium Edition, or Vista. But no, you had to release 8, and you had to discontinue my 2000 keyboard. Sheesh.

Other Thoughts: I have been using the Comfort Curve 2000 keyboard exclusively for years at home and on all my machines at my business. I love them, I am very comfortable with them, I am used to them. I have laptops and tablets, but live on primarily on desktops (yes, I'm old school). I'm not sure what I am going to do when my 2000s start to die off. I am extremely sad I won't be able to order replacements, and also that I can't sell them in my shop anymore. My customers will be sad as well.
