Does this keyboard have compatibility with a regular custom built PC? I have another Microsoft keyboard, though it is old, and I'm not sure if this one is only for tablets. Plus it's super small, which I prefer.

As long as the PC is Bluetooth compatible the keyboard will work

Will this work for Dell Venue 8 Pro? What are the dimensions (I have a case made for my 8" tablet)?

I would say that the face dimension space requirements are 4" by 10 and 1/2". The battery compartment which creates the wedge shape would require a 1" depth space. I know the wedge keyboard works with the Nexus 7, the iPhone, and the iPad. I've also connected it with my Thinkpad laptop as a test. I think it's a great portable keyboard.
