2 out of 5 eggsMicrosoft Product?

Pros: Key travel and feedback are good, ample of short cut keys backed by switch, comfortable wrist rest, split space bar requires less activation force, long battery life based on constant use over a year on single set of battery and still going. switch is good for making key temporarily permanent but took some getting used-to.

Cons: Labels of left hand keys are mostly gone by after 1 year usage; past 6+ MS keyboards never had this issue after multiple years usage; is this new trend going forward? I do not need key labels but see this as indicator of downhill quality trend and will be skeptical buying future MS products.
Right arrow key too close to numerics.

Other Thoughts: Apparently MS has stopped marketing/selling this product, so I hope it saw the quality shortcoming and take more meaningful steps to release future products of better quality to better deserve the MS label they carry.

5 out of 5 eggsDoesn't Work with Ergonomic Mouse

Pros: This keyboard is extremely comfortable. It's probably the first time I've enjoyed typing in years. I actually use the stand and prop it up and it's wonderfully comfortable

Cons: I didn't like the "Comfort" mouse and I wanted the ergonomic mouse. They can't use the same receiver and you're forced to use 2 USB ports.

Other Thoughts: It's worth the minor annoyance of using 2 USB to have exactly what I want on my desk. I just wanted other people to know before buying.

5 out of 5 eggsMicrosoft Sculpt Comfort Keyboard for Business

Pros: Wireless! Reasonably priced. Padded wrist rest! Shipping time was as stated, fast and low priced. Nicely laid out key configuration. Windows 8 shortcut keys. Long battery life.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: This keyboard to me is very nice for the price I paid. It's wireless which is convenient and has a padded wrist rest which can be detached if wanted. To me it's one of the better keyboards I've owned. Battery life is good.

4 out of 5 eggsThe Nearly Perfect Keyboard

Pros: 1. The keys feel great, having the perfect snap to them!
2. The battery life is incredible. I've been using mine for months now, and running on only two AAA batteries, I have yet to change them!
3. Key locations of the keys I use most are perfect: Arrow Keys, Letter Keys, Tab, Shift, Control, Alt, Enter, Backspace.
4. Ergonomically fantastic. Lightweight. Wireless. High Quality. Fits on my lap perfectly as I type or play games!
5. Separate Numeric Keypad is very handy. Often I use it exactly as I would use a calculator. Also handy for 2-player gaming!
6. The magnetic battery cover on the back of the keyboard feels like magic. It is lots of fun to pull it off and let it snap back into place. Weird!

Cons: 1. Windows 7 issues. I had extreme problems installing Windows 7 with this keyboard attached, and for months had no idea that the keyboard was the culprit. Once I figured it out, simply removing the keyboard dongle during installation solve the problem. Yet I still have Windows 7 issues, especially with Internet Explorer, and I suspect the keyboard is still causing issues because my computer ran flawlessly until I added this keyboard. Having said that, I love this keyboard so much that I am willing to put up with quite a few problems in order to keep using it. I find it very strange that a Microsoft Keyboard would have issues in a Microsoft OS. This problem is why I cannot give this keyboard 5 stars.
2. The Left Shift Key. On my keyboard, the Left Shift Key snaps like normal, but does not always give me my capital letters like it should. I have to be extra firm in pressing it to ensure I get a capital letter. I find myself having to correct capitalization mistakes quite a bit because of it. (For some reason, when I learned to type, I became trained to never use the Right Shift Key, so a wonky Left Shift Key is a big deal to me). I have no idea if all of these keyboards have this issue, or just the particular one I bought.

Other Thoughts: THE TRADEOFFS
1. In order to reduce the size of the keyboard, the right side of the keyboard has been rearranged, meaning the Insert/Delete, Home/End, and PgUp/PgDn keys are in different positions than I'm used to. I do not use these a whole lot, so it generally doesn't matter to me, but at those moments when I do want to use them, it becomes more of a chore than it used to be.
2. Also to reduce keyboard size, the Escape key is now too small. Although it is still easy to find because of it's position, I often find myself hitting the ~ key instead whenever I reach for it. I have never used the ~ key in my entire life (except now to write this review), so I think that key should have been made smaller to allow for a larger ESC key.
3. I could not find this keyboard without the included mouse. The mouse is perfectly fine, but I just didn't need it because I already had one that I really like. On the other hand, I've actually found a couple of uses for having a second mouse attached. First, when helping my son learn how to use programs on the computer it is handy to have my own mouse so I can take over the pointer when I want to. Second, when my other mouse's battery dies, it is handy to be able to simply grab this other one instead of having to plug my other mouse in immediately.

3 out of 5 eggsJust got this keyboard

Pros: The keys have a nice soft feel to them and the keyboard is quieter than I expected. It seems to me that the buttons are closer together than what I normally type on, just any old computer keyboard, but once I get used to it I guess the less my fingers travel the faster I may be able to type. The palmrest is removable and comes with batteries.

Cons: The key layout is a bit odd. Insert is shifted up to be on the same key as Print Screen to make room for an extra large delete key, and Pause/Break is missing entirely... I guess to make room for a Calculator button, why this button couldn't also operate as Pause is beyond me because all the other Function buttons (F1 through F12) have alternative uses, like you would find on a laptop keyboard - Minus one star.

There are no lights to indicate the status of Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, or Number Lock. There is however a low battery indicator, which didn't light up at all when I received my keyboard because... the batteries were completely dead. Not only were the batteries dead but they were from two different batches over a year apart! One manufactured in July, 2011 and the other September 2012. - Minus another star.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm happy with the keyboard but it's shortcomings bothered me enough that I removed two stars. Maybe you won't mind the missing Pause/Break key and will come with two good batteries.

5 out of 5 eggsI love it

Pros: I like the button feel, battery life is fantastic, supporting palm rests allow me to type all day, hybrid between standard and full ergonomic keyboard is fantastic

Cons: second backspace bar is useless if you're too used to the regular backspace bar. This isn't really a con since it doesn't diminish the keyboard's usefulness to me.

Other Thoughts: I send between 40-100 e-mails a day from work and this is the best keyboard I've ever owned. The subtle ergonomic design is perfect for me since I don't like standard keyboards, and I like, but find with my smaller hand size (usually a medium in gloves) that traditional ergo keyboards are just a little too much. I'm still running on the first batteries for this keyboard and it's been used every work day 8-14 hours a day for close to a year now. If this keyboard broke today, I would order another with 1 day shipping I love this keyboard so much.

I really thought I would love the left spacebar/backspace button, but it turns out that I was just too ingrained with the standard backspace button to use it. I even tried for a whole month to force myself, but my productivity decreased and I switched back.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Comfortable layout, keys have the right amount of give, the wrist rest is comfortable.

Cons: This keyboard has 5 hidden screws (4 under the feet, 1 under the product information sticker) making it difficult to take apart and clean. Some of the keys did not work after putting it back together, despite being very careful taking it apart.

Other Thoughts: I've used Microsoft keyboards for at least the last 10-12 years and they have always been very good. As I type this from a Logitech keyboard, the keys are stiff, making finger fatigue approach swiftly, it makes me miss my broken Microsoft keyboard. Will be buying this one again and can't wait for it to arrive!

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent when on sale

Pros: Clean simple, design. Wireless. Ergonomic. Easy to install and use. Pretty much defines "standard keyboard" but on the higher scale. A solid product, for what it is.

Cons: Nothing to indicate the status caps lock or num lock.

Other Thoughts: I bought three of these on sale for ~$22 each; one for myself and one for each of my parents. All three of us felt that the lack of caps lock/num lock indicators was a buzzkill. The design may not feel comfortable for those with larger hands. Regardless, these were excellent keyboards for the sale price, despite not being quite what I expected.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat wireless Keyboard

Pros: This is a great wireless keyboard. No cords in the way. The layout is very ergonomic. I love the pad that my palm can rest. I brought 2 of these keyboards. One for me and another for my wife. we both love it. I think I want to buy an extra for my smart TV.

Cons: No cons so far.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice that one USB adapter would control both my mouse and this keyboard

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Solid. Well made. Great key stroke feel.

Cons: Came in a plain cardboard box. (not really a con)

Other Thoughts: My wife is a writer and she has really enjoyed this keyboard. We would recommend this keyboard and would buy again.
