4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job after mods

Pros: small, works, xp saw it with no big installation. 1 star until mod, 4 stars so far now. it works great, post mod.

Cons: trackball *sucked* did not track. The tb is too slick, see other thoughts for my fix, ymmv.

Other Thoughts: I removed the trackball, by twisting the tb housing COUNTERCLOCKWISE, then I rolled the trackball in 400 grit, that's four hundred grit, sandpaper. I rolled it like I was trying to warm up my hands, until the tb had very fine scoring over the entire surface (< 20 seconds) then I replaced the tb, and it now works like a dream. Do not try this at home, your mileage may vary, no one endorses this method, it works for me, but i might be a sock.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect portable solution

Pros: This is perfect for carrying to headless systems. Bring along a 15" LCD and you're ready to go.

Cons: Keys are a bit too stiff. It's difficult to be certain you pressed the keys down when you're not watching the screen. The layout takes a little getting used to as the backslash key "\" is undersized and other keys were moved. Why is there only one CTRL key but two Windows menu keys?

Other Thoughts: The other reviewer complained about the trackball. You're not supposed to use this as your primary keyboard and mouse. It's compact and portable so its use is going to be a little awkward.

2 out of 5 eggsKeyboard OK, trackball sucks

Pros: Small footprint, color (black) looks nice with the rest of my stuff.

Cons: Trackball is junk. The ball itself feels cheap and needs constant cleaning. It's definitely not practical for everyday use. In other words, it won't replace your mouse, not by a long shot.

Other Thoughts: Small size is nice, but when you still need a mouse on your desk, what good is it?
