5 out of 5 eggsA Must

Pros: Must have if you are an FPS gamer. Durable and comfortable and works as it should, also it works with Synapse.

Cons: The material used feels a little cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!!! Can't play without it

Pros: Ergonomic, adjustable for different size hands
Easy to use, feels great
Easy to configure using provided drivers

Backlit keys are cool and help when playing in the dark, light on/off switch

Multiple modes with 3-color LED display showing you which mode you are running

Auto-loads configurations for different games when that game is detected and displays the config title in the bottom right hand of the screen letting you know it changed and showing you what it changed to

I've had it for over a year, used it on wood desks and leather recliner arms and the rubber feet are still there and doing their job.

Cons: Needs more buttons

Seriously add a row above D1-D5, add a column on the left side and a column for the top two rows on the right side

Other Thoughts: I mainly use this controller when playing World of Warcraft on a 55" TV in my living room, fits nicely on the arm of my recliner. I seriously can't play without this device anymore, it has replaced my keyboard for almost all games (some single player rpg games have too many other keyboard bound buttons to be able to macro to this, thus the only con - needs more buttons :p)

Other games I play using this device:
CS:S, D3: SC2, L4D/2, Payday 2, Borderlands/2, Walking Dead/S2, CoD, DoD, GTA, WoW. It's good for everything once you get it configured and get used to it

2 out of 5 eggsThings n stuff

Pros: It looks and feels nice ....

Cons: Not what I expected. The thumb stick isn't a thumb stick but a directional pad, with a thumb stick on it. Probably works great, but I was getting it with other types of gaming in mind.

3 out of 5 eggsWish it were mechanical

Pros: - Great LEDs plus a quick switch to turn them off via bottom of product that isn't software driven, so even if Synapse doesn't work, you can still control them.

- Overall feel of it is wonderful, material well chosen, and palm rest well placed (2 possible positions in case you have bigger hands).

- Can fully customize every key via Synapse, including the 8-way D-pad for the thumb. Although this is only when Synapse actually works (see Other Thoughts).

Cons: - Keys are NOT sensitive at ALL. I find myself too often in an FPS stop moving because I'm apparently not exerting 50 lbs of force through my middle finger to the W key. They should've just went mechanical MX cherry switches on these, after all these are most of the time hot-keys for RPGs and/or FPS games. But I guess this is my fault for wasting even more money on an older product (just like the Mamba...)

Other Thoughts: I'm quite disappointed with Razer to be honest, I've always been a loyal customer for a long time, owning an abundance of their products from keyboards mouse pads, game pads, mice, to their headsets and laptops. Although, never have I ever been so angry with software, when Razer Synapse conflicts with the smallest possible program on my computer and causes it to not start (tested MANY products over 4 very different PCs and laptops).

I have wasted over half a grand on Razer products, and I'm extremely disappointed with the customer support I've gotten. I know their PR team is trying their best to prove their worth against Apple products and others to be the top dog, but when my countless emails don't get responses to help me with their software that can never seem to work right, or take 5 minutes just to boot up to fully enable my mouse, it can really show their lack of support.

And this is where I end my support. After my Nostromos and Mamba purchase, I am moving on to competitor products on my next peripheral purchases, and I have already sold my Razer Blade.

5 out of 5 eggsIn response to "Very Disappointed"

Pros: Great device! Long lasting, easy to use, makes gaming easy.

Cons: Dumb people who can't figure out easy software. EVERY BUTTON IS PROGRAMMABLE! You just have to be smart enough to figure out the software, which is EASY!

So tired of the negative reviews left by dumb people who can't figure out something, or take off eggs for things unrelated to the quality of the product like shipping mistakes by Newegg.

Other Thoughts: Trying to figure out why the price of this device which was $69 is now up to $111. I won't pay that and will find it some place else cheaper.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for MMOs

Pros: This is great for MMOs. The feel of it is great and the lights on the keys help me when I'm playing at night as I have trouble trying to find what keys my fingers are on sometimes. I also found that modifying the keys was easy.

Cons: The software to modified it did not come with it and it took me two hours to find the software on the Internet and download it.

Other Thoughts: The software could have came with it.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Dissapointed

Pros: I am so irate with the negative aspects of this product, that I cannot think of any Pros.

Cons: After 30 minutes of attempting to configure this device, I am ready to return it for refund. The Synapse 2.0 software/driver/spyware (needs 35 Megabytes!?) does not permit customizing of the directional thumb pad or thumb button. The feature list specifically states "Programmable 8-way directional thumb pad and scroll wheel". I was able to program the scroll wheel, but not the thumb pad. So, Razer is lying or selectively omitting the caveat that this ability does not exist for the Apple version of their software.

Also, I do not like being forced to login to Synapse upon every boot of my computer, whether I intend to use the peripheral or not. I do not agree to their Subscriber Agreement that states "By using Razer Synapse 2.0 (“Synapse”), the Subscriber agrees that Razer may collect aggregate information, individual information, and personally identifiable information. Razer may share aggregate information and individual information with other parties." I don't care if this verbiage is common boilerplate is not appropriate to use extortion to gain access to my personal computer in exchange for my use of a hardware peripheral for which I paid a handsome amount of money. I do not need a cloud-based repository for my programable peripheral's settings, so do not force this upon me.

Other Thoughts: I will not consider any Razer product in the future, and will be sure to tell all my friends of this truly negative experience.

5 out of 5 eggsRevolutionized gaming

Pros: I don't know how I played MMORPG's without this. The keyboard section is basically the WASD and surrounding keys you're used to, but the thumb stick is invaluable. Also amazing in shooters.

Cons: I wish my desk was about three inches wider to more comfortably accommodate my Nostromos, Naga, and G150 keyboard. I'm running out of space.

Other Thoughts: These were used by Ender's commanders in the final battles of Ender's Game. I totally understand why the characters would've chosen them.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Major upgrade from my Razor pad. With all the macro commands I can do, well lets just say I'm top Heals or DPS and as for PvP theres no contest.

Cons: thumb controller is a little slick sometimes after a good intense moment. But its nothing you can simply wipe your thumb off. But don't let this stop you from buying it, its well worth it.

Other Thoughts: If your can work the grip off something like a PS controller and attach it to the Gaming Pad your golden.

5 out of 5 eggsRazer Always Out To Impress

Pros: Very comfortable, easy to get used to, and very convenient. I really enjoy the software, which was very easyto figure out, and map controls. Great how you can move the wrist guard to fit your needs. Overall, very impressed.

Cons: They could move the space button up a little to make it more comfy, but its easy to get around and is very minor.

Other Thoughts: I may be slightly biased because I am a Razer fanboy :)
