5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great 3 Years

Pros: Thumb-activated mod keys, tough keyboard, works for three years and counting.

Cons: Rather large.

Other Thoughts: The thumb keys are amazing both for gaming keybinds and for office work - I'm an English teacher, so I need to hit Ctrl+Alt+M a *lot* for commenting in MS Word, and this keyboard saves my left hand the trouble of making the Borg Claw (seriously - put your pinky on Ctrl and your thumb on Alt, then freeze your hand and turn it around to look at it) about three thousand times per semester.

More importantly, this keyboard has survived countless Gamer Tantrums and Windows Update Ambush Tantrums without so much as popping a key. Three years and going strong.

1 out of 5 eggsI made account to give this review.

Pros: You can use it to write on... The text on the keys is ok. That's about it.

Cons: Never buy it. NEVER buy this useless thing. Really bad quality and unrealiable keys. I lost 5+ cs:go matches because of this keyboard.
Slippery keys. Hard to clean. Bad placement of extra keys.

1 out of 5 eggsRazer Anansi is Unreliable & Buggy

Pros: Given that this keyboard has known issues that can cause the keys to completely remap and unregister in the middle of a gaming session I can not give it any pros.

Cons: Unreliable keyboard for gaming. I've had this keyboard specifically for gaming and it has been a nightmare from the get go. The keys will suddenly out of nowhere completely remap. What I mean is the "D" key all of the sudden will stop working and reassign to lord knows what.

I've spent hours trying to fix this through Driver Updates, Updating my language settings (as was suggested by tech support) nothing works... let me rephrase, what I find will work is physically pounding the keyboard. Literally banging on it with my fist. This issue has happened a total of 4 times but now recently it's happened twice in the past week.

Fortunately I have a $20 keyboard that is about 7 years old that I can plug in and muddle finish whatever it is I'm doing.

Other Thoughts: I'm not alone with this issue. I didn't read all the comments here on Newegg but I did read some. I would not recommend this particular model of Razer. I love my Razer Naga Mouse and I want to love the keyboard because it is very beautiful but so unreliable and frustrating.

Think twice before purchasing this keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this Keyboard!

Pros: I've only had this keyboard about a week, but I must say I'm very satisfied with the purchase. The keyboard itself feels very sturdy, and the keys have no jiggle or play and typing feels extremely smooth. The lights are bright, but not too bright and with the free razer software you can change the colors or have it cycle through, which I love. The on-the-fly macro recording is great, and all the extra keys are awsome. If you play MMO's at all, or any games really, this keyboard for the price is perfect.

Cons: The only con I have is that it requires 2 USB ports.

4 out of 5 eggsI used to hate it.

Pros: Still works. You may laugh but seriously. Compared to the g710+ (which hurt my feelings on more than one occasion) every key still works, keys haven't cracked apart, every light still works and I can see both characters clearly on every key with two. I don't type much nor am I proficient at it anyway but I would agree with that as a minus. It is marketed as a gaming MMO keyboard so no surprise there.

Cons: The Razer logo is annoyingly bright. Cut a piece of electrical tape to size and it disappears. Now turning this thing up to max brightness is perfect. Synapse.

Other Thoughts: I slammed this keyboard before but after giving it another shot it's made me smile. Hell, even without the use of changing the color of the light or use of the macro buttons the flat smooth finish is a wonderful sight and feel. I just do not care for Synapse.

2 out of 5 eggsOnly for gaming

Pros: I recommend this keyboard ONLY for gaming. The lighting is RGB, so you can set it to whatever colour you like. 5 macros on the left side. Gaming mode is quite useful to disable the Windows key, ALT-F4, and ALT-TAB during your gaming sessions.

Cons: It is a membrane style keyboard. It's hard to use for typing. The keyboard is hard to get used to as it is spaced far apart. Takes up too much space on the desk. Thumb modifier keys fell off, and I had to contact Razer for a replacement. Uses 2 USB ports instead of one. The wrist pads leave grease marks. Definitely not worth the price. I'm disappointed in this Razer product.

Other Thoughts: I have been using it almost daily for a year. I am not happy with the quality. I will be upgrading to a Corsair Vengeance K95 Cherry MX RGB Reds instead.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard for gaming but that's it.

Pros: This keyboard is pretty good for gaming and has an aesthetically good appeal.
Software is good.
The additional macros are nice and every key is re-programmable.

Cons: Lighting could be a lot better.
The keys aren't too responsive...especially the E key which sucks.
Typing essays and papers with this thing sucks a lot because of the E key.
It's not very practical for much of anything outside of gaming.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend for students!

2 out of 5 eggsMMO Kind of, Typing NO!

Pros: Lighting seems fine for my tastes. If it were any brighter it may be an issue for me as I don't like playing in a brightly lit room anyways. Honestly, there's not a ton I love about this keyboard.

Cons: Keys feel spaced extra far apart compared to other keyboards. You fingers will adjust but that doesn't fix the next issue.

I play FFXIV and constantly need to type a quick blurb in the chat window. Unfortunately, I look like a 5 yr old typing as the keyboard consistently misses keystrokes.

Not only is typing an issue but during fights like Titan Extreme I've had issues where I attempt to strafe and nothing happens which in turn guarantees my death.

Purchased from a military store and plan on returning keyboard as soon as replacement arrives.

Other Thoughts: I expected a phenomenal keyboard considering I absolutely love the wireless Naga mouse. Much is to be desired and I think this keyboard needs a complete redesign....

2 out of 5 eggsGaming, Si! Typing, No!

Pros: The programmable gaming keys are excellent, a real boon to any serious gamer. I find the back lighting pleasant: not too bright or too dim and the color adjustment has a broad spectrum and is easy to use. The on-screen programming in the Razer Synapse UI is very simple and intuitive. For gaming I couldn't be happier.

Cons: As happy as I am with this keyboard for gaming I absolutely detest it for typing. I find it virtually impossible to find a correct, constant typing pressure. I'm not a super-fast typist but the number of keystrokes that fail to generate a character on my screen would slow down my typing to a snail's pace regardless. Keys will fail to engage and activate their character if pressed lightly or hard and sometimes in between. Capitals seem to have the worst problem which may relate to the fact that the lighting color changes when one presses the shift key. That's just a conjecture but the near certainty of a dropped initial cap has to have some cause. As an example, I typed the "I" that begins the second sentence here 3 times before it registered.

Other Thoughts: I got this keyboard as a gift from a very dear friend after my cat upset a mug of tea in my old keyboard. I've had a Razer Naga mouse for several years and can't say enough that's good about it. I also am a storyteller who tells several stories about the trickster spider, Anansi so I was primed to love this keyboard on several levels. If it were simply a game pad it would have a 5-Egg rating. I am a very serious gamer so the dedicated keys are a serious help. Unfortunately the problems with typing are so frustrating that I could not recommend this keyboard to anyone. I wish it were otherwise. I really do but when it takes minutes to type a few simple sentences due to the dropped letters 2-Eggs is a gift.

5 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard for almost every use

Pros: To start off i can use this keyboard for every use i have for it. I can play MMORPG's on it FPS games and i can edit easily. This keyboard has and extra 12 keys for your customization. Also you can link a program to it so once you open said program it automatically changes all the key board settings to that program. Honestly this is a great keyboard and i would rather have it than a mechanical any day.

Cons: One con is that the adjustable heights are to far apart. What i mean is that its hard to go high and then straight flat is to hard to type so its just a personal issue.
