1 out of 5 eggsNot an option for anyone that needs reliability

Pros: Thin keys, comfy rest pad, personalization by way of the track pad image, apps, and backlight color. Key displays can be shifted digitally to compensate for viewing angle.

Cons: Using the trackpad for numerical entry makes you hunt and peck to ensure you have applied enough pressure to activate the key. Firmware/Hardware is subpar. Keyboard often does not boot with computer or keys cease to function during normal operation. While the apps are cool, most do not function as intended, selection is limited. For those looking for VOIP integration there isn't an app to be had yet (Sept. 2014) i.e. no mumble, ventrilo, or teamspeak...

Other Thoughts: This is the first time I have been extremely disappointed in and frustrated with a Razer product. I continually shout their praises for their peripherals, but this keyboard for the price is nothing more than a gimmick and one that does not work as well as it should. When the keys cease to work you can tell it is not the key itself but something on the backend as the trackpad will flash on and off with a press of a key. Requires the USB to be unplugged or to access the Synapse software to restore defaults. Half of the apps do not work properly (not a Razer fault). Having used it a month doing photoshop work and FPS gaming I already want to throw it out.

5 out of 5 eggsLED Backlit Happiness

Pros: - Functional LCD Touch Panel
-Customizable Wallpaper
-Customizable Button Configurations
-New Apps Regularly with tons to choose from already.
-Can Act as a Track Pad for your mouse if needed.
-Back Lit Keys
-Color can be changed through the Synapse Software
-Extra M1-M5 Keys
-Can be bound to existing Keys or create whole new ones.
-Located on the Left Side of the Keyboard.

Cons: -Synapse Program HAS to be Running for the keyboard's track pad and saved color settings to be used.

-Need a good amount of memory for your PC to run the apps flawlessly as well as do other things making use of the track pad apps. (About 100k usage with all the Apps I am using at the moment as well as the core processes for the keyboard to run.)

Other Thoughts: The keys being responsive can sometimes be too responsive which is and isn't a bad thing. I do quite enjoy how the keys feel being thin in thickness but wide enough to type properly. I mainly play in the dark because of my work & school hours so when I get home family is sleeping... back lite definitely helps with that. Razer Synapse likes to update almost every other day but that's more of a Synapse issue but worth pointing out it's good their improving their products even after release but annoying in a sense since most of them require a restart.

All in all I am very impressed and I am now addicted to Razer accessories and Software mainly because of this keyboard A score of 5/5 Eggs isn't being generous it's simply what it deserves.

5 out of 5 eggsMore apps are coming!

Pros: Screen refresh rate is good

Cons: No dedicated volume up/down keys..

Would have preferred mechanical keys over chiclet style

Other Thoughts: I didn't really write any pros because this keyboard is pretty much the best gaming keyboard on the market. Just wanted to voice two little grievances i have with it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: The keys are so soft to press and actually feel good when typing, I wish I had this keyboard for when I was in school and typing up those long term papers. The numerous options for customization is also a big plus.

Cons: The only con for this one is that sometimes the touch screen and it's apps will stop responding, but a quick restart of synapse 2.0 will resolve it just fine, not to much of a headache for me, compared to other issues I have had to contend with, while others may find this as a major headache.

Other Thoughts: A great buy glad I spent the money to retired my old annoying razer lycosa keyboard that would randomly stop responding at will.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Keyboard Ever - I honestly am surprised!

Pros: Everything
Chiclet keys feel so satisfying
LED screen is vibrant and gorgoeus
The "Ipad" style touch interface on the screen is perfect
The gaming APPS are well designed for the screen
Macros are amazingly easy
It has a sleek sexy look
Can change the color of the keys to any color possibly; or have it slowly rotate colors every 4-5 seconds
Looks amazing next to my 2013 Death Adder, Razer Kabuto mousepad and Razer blacksharks

Cons: Absolutely none, Honestly. Razer hit a home run with the idea and a grandslam with the execution

Other Thoughts: I was very nervious spending over 250 on a keyboard with possibilities of the LED screen not working or coming in with dead pixels; and it arrived well packaged; it arrived the next day (LOVE YOU NEW EGG) and I feel like I am the captain on the Star Trek's Bridge - I am a commander with this bad boy.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: Good feeling keyboard.
Nice back lighting.
Synapse 2.0, when I finally figured out how to use it and tweak it.
Wrist rest is comfortable.

Cons: The wrist rest attracts any small particle.
Getting synapse setup took a bit, but was good after that.

Other Thoughts: I took sometime looking for a keyboard that I think I would like and decided on the DeathStalker Ultimate. I personally like Chiclet keys which helped make my decision.

If you read almost any review about this keyboard online there is always complaints about synapse 2.0. I thought that they were just being picky, but when I first installed synapse I had to agree with them. It had only a few applications and the extra ones I could install I did not need. I thought that I may have just made a horrible purchase and was tempted to return it. I thought I should maybe try and explore the software a little more though and I am glad I did. If you actually play around with, you can make short cuts to applications with icons and such, but they can not be put on the home page as of right now. They have to be put in the keypad app on the board. I now 5 custom keys that I use almost daily. I also do a lot of video editing and Razer just made an Adobe Premier Pro app and Photoshop app, which I find to be useful at times. I personally love synapse now that I can utilize it to it "full potential". One last note, people claim that synapse take forever to start up but for me it is loaded maybe 3 seconds after I get into windows; I do have a SSD though so I know that it is helping out a lot there.

In the end I am glad that I purchased this keyboard. I could not be happier, especially now that Razer is coming out with more new apps for synapse.

5 out of 5 eggsrazer fish

Pros: Quality...this is a high end product that exudes quality from the moment you receive the box. Looks great with my gaming PC. Great keyboard right now with loads of potential for the future. The touchpad is really very nice to have with Windows 8 Metro UI.

Cons: needs time for apps to patient. Hopefully the touchpad will see better utilization / integration.

Hey Razer...I wish it came with a nice Microfiber cloth dust cover with Razer logo for covering up during down time!

Other Thoughts: This keyboard just feels uber freaking nice in your hands...all the textures from the palm rest, to the feel of the keys and surrounding frame just feels nice and looks absolutely fabulous. Nice job Razer!!! Mechanical keyboards....overhyped and generally too loud....this thing is great for gaming and pretty cool for typing to boot....depends on your style and preference I guess so to each their own.

5 out of 5 eggsKinked to Perfection

Pros: light weight, slim, fast key response, back lit keys, custom icons, completely reformat-able, easy to use and install

Cons: had some small, and I do mean small, issues the first couple hours of use. Since they aren't made 3.0 compatible the LCD icons look distorted and look to have scan lines running through them at first thought the squares were just broken but then decided to move the plugs into my 2.0 slots located right below the 3.0's and they looked perfectly fine. Started having a slight issue making the youtube app play videos and kept throwing up the 'download adobe' icon on me but I don't really plan on using youtube enough on it to bother me

Other Thoughts: Looking forward to the release of new applications for it, the two USB doggles is a little bit of a hassle for people that have older builds or a lot of other parts (portable hard drives, usb head sets, ect) but in my case was just a matter of moving my mouse up to a 3.0 and dropping the keyboard to the 2.0's. the SBUI is a little buggy but such should be expected with 'new' technology and shouldn't be looked at as a complete downside to buying it. The price on the other hand...hmmm if you don't want as many macros (the screen can be made to have an extra like 20-30 icons on the one part added to the completely macro capable keyboard) then I would just get the standard deathstalker, if you wanna play with the Razer UI but don't wanna dish out the $3,000 definitely put this in your cart you won't be upset once you get everything set up to make your computing easier and faster with all the quick access keys
