5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: This thing works great. I made a mistake with buying it though, for home use because I didn't realize it didn't have backlit keys or a num pad. Not sure what I was thinking but instead of sending it back I use it at work and it's great. I have no complaints at all..

I actually love the way that it sounds and couldn't be happier with the feel when I press the keys. It is much louder than the corsair k90 I ended up buying for him but I like them both.

Cons: None
Non backlit keys, no num pad. ( this isn't really a con since this is what makes it a tournament edition)

Other Thoughts: none

1 out of 5 eggsI'm here to take back some Eggs

Pros: Cherry MX Blues - If you like the clicky sound & tactile feel.
Rubberized surface - non glossy and doesn't attract fingerprints/dirt like the previous generation.
Goes well with other green/black themed Razer products, if matching set is your thing.

Cons: I'm not sure if it's Synapse or just the keyboard, but the lower left control button would randomly spam itself from time to time. You can imagine how annoying that is when you're in the middle of a game of StarCraft II. Sometimes the problem will go away if you press shift or some other button, but most of the time you will have to restart the computer. Re-plugging the keyboard in does nothing at all. I've had instances where I would accidentally activate a looping command on softwares with this control problem - free BSOD.

Control problems aside, the USB cord is a poor fit for the keyboard; it wriggles about when plugged into the keyboard and frequently disconnects/reconnects at the slightest nudge - not something I'd expect from Razer especially considering this tournament edition is supposed to be for gamers on the go.

I'm tempted to get this product warrantied, but I'd rather not risk getting back a refurbished item with the same problems.

Other Thoughts: Do yourself a favor and get a Filco!

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Jay,

Sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your keyboard. Having an issue with the ctrl key would definitely make it hard to make control groups in SC2!

Please contact our Customer Support team at http://razersupport.com/contact-us or by calling 1-888-697-2037.

Thank you for understanding.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Switches

Pros: Cherry MX Switches are a pleasure to type on
Looks high quality

Cons: USB connector tends to disconnect and reconnect your keyboard at the slightest nudge.

Keyboard randomly types without anything being pressed.

Other Thoughts: This is a good keyboard when it works without hiccups. The constant disconnect/reconnects can be extremely irritating.

Surely, if Razer can add a cord locking mechanism with their headsets they could afford to do the same with a keyboard.

I'm still a Razer fan overall, but I hope to see future designs improve.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Feeling Keyboard

Pros: Feels great. Very fast response. 10 Keyless is great. Easy macro recording.

Cons: Keys are Cherry MX Blue, would have preferred Red. A little loud but that's to be expected. Not fully backlit. No onboard memory. Requires Razer Synapse software that has been know to be buggy although I've had no issues.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this is a great keyboard. I would have liked to have seen a 10 keyless design with a few more features (USB passthrough, headset port, full backlight, etc...) but this still fits my needs. If Razer came out with a keyboard with all of the above features as well as Cherry MX Red switches I would be all over it. As it stands, I'm quite happy with this keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsZOMGGGGG!!!!!

Pros: I love everything about this keyboard, and the clicks are so precious and wonderful to annoy everyone around you with.

Cons: Not Back-lit :(

Other Thoughts: Everything about this keyboard is phenomenal. I have had the ultimate version of this for over a year but it takes up to much real estate for my desk and when this tourney version came out i HAD to have it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome, but noisy

Pros: Typing on this thing is a dream. The tactile feedback is wonderful (I intentionally chose MX blues for this reason).

Cons: I knew what I was getting into, but it's still rather noisy. I bought this for the office, but felt guilty because it was making a lot of noise, so I ended up leaving it at home. The sound is part of what you're getting when you get Cherry MX blues, though, so I haven't taken off any eggs for it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little keyboard

Pros: Got this as a present for my girlfriend's rig. She has smaller hands so she always uses smaller keyboards, but I wouldn't mind owning one of these for my personal rig. Great build quality, feels incredibly sturdy. Keystrokes are light and easy with a very noticeable *tck* with each stroke. In-game it performs flawlessly. Transport is super easy with the removable (and nicely braided) USB cable: Contact Razer and see about getting a second one, makes it that much easier. Just keep the second one in the travel pouch x-).

Cons: Hard to find even the slightest bit of actual flaw in this product.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a no-frills gaming keyboard with good anti ghosting, windows key disable, macro recording, and Cherry MX Blue Switches (best out there IMO) all with a smaller form factor (hardly anyone uses the num pad among my group), then this is definitely the keyboard for you!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: CLACK CLACK CLACK - That satisfying noise of a well made mechanical keyboard, can't get enough.
No numpad, a pro for me, saves space on my desk. Very sturdy feel, hefty in weight. Solid keyboard all in all.

Cons: It's wired? Only thing that could make this better is being wireless, but on the other hand having it wired gurantees a solid connection. As much of a con as I can come up with.

Other Thoughts: For the price tag this thing is incredible, at the time of purchase you can't find a well made mechanical keyboard, ontop of being a top brand, for this price.. I recommend this to anyone who doesn't need a wireless connection, or a numpad and wants to venture into the world of mechanical keyboards.
