5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME

Pros: very very nice and swift keyboard and touch screen responds pretty clearly and fast

Cons: it needs more apps that you can add on to the touchcreen buttons but other than that its dandy

3 out of 5 eggsMeh....

Pros: It is pretty and has lots of functionality. I like the keystrokes.

Cons: I have had lots of problems. Razer is very good about helping, but I have had lots of problems with the touch screen and driver issues. At least I think it is driver issues, but It will randomly start showing symptoms that look like lag. It will stop accepting input and will randomly not stop inputting a character. It is like the keys are sticking, but physically they feel fine and this can happen to any key. The only ones that it tends to happen more to are the ones that are used more.

2 out of 5 eggsJust No

Pros: The design of the keyboard is creative. I like that you can program settings into it as well as change the color of the backlighting; but, that is the limits as far as this keyboard goes beyond being interesting for me. The main attraction was the SwitchBlade UI; but, I'll get to why that turns out to be more of a gimmick than a perk.

Cons: The major failure of this keyboard is the Switchblade UI. Why is this such a horrible blunder for so many users? Because the Razor Synapse 2.0 is the buggiest, flakiest software available on the web. It is so destructive, that my antivirus program marked it as a malicious software during an update and disabled it. It has even been so corrupt that it has disabled the USB and P2 support on my computer. I had to do windows recovery to restore those functions on my system. I went back and uninstalled the Synapse software, then reinstalled it again. Than I began to realize that the Switchblade UI was no glitchier than ever. If I hit anything on the UI it would glitch the displayed screen out, this means that the UI is virtually useless. So you have half a keyboard that you cannot do anything with.

Other Thoughts: I cannot in good conscious recommend this to any human being that I liked or disliked. It is putting money into the pockets of individuals who love shoving things out on to the market without properly testing it. This is very apparent with the notoriously buggy Synapse 2.0 software that you need to load the flaky UI. Avoid anything that needs that software to run, it is a death sentence for your hardware.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works, but.....

Pros: It really is a nice a keyboard. The apps that are out for it work. I don't know why other people have been having install issues with the software, but mine worked the first time I did it without any problems what so ever. The LCD is a great feature and has limitless potential. It functions as intended, and the macros work great.

Cons: As I mentioned before, the LCD is a great feature; however, Razer has a serious lack of apps for this keyboard. From what I've read, it seems this is not an open source. Which means, they will simply dictate who can create apps. If you're looking to get this keyboard because of the LCD, don't. It's really not that great of a feature. They only have a handful of apps right now that aren't real useful for games. In fact, most of the apps they have now are just useful for non gaming such as facebook, youtube, twitch, ect.... Additionally, the hand rest is a tad too small in my opinion. I have small hands too. The palm of my hands and half way off the rest. If I were to get my money back, I would simply repurchase another g19 keyboard. With their lcd screen I could at least see core temp, and voip overlays. Also, I didn't think I would miss my numpad, but I miss it a lot now. The digital numpad is ok, but it's hard to tell if you hit a number or not. It barely blinks when you hit a number.

Other Thoughts: If this keyboard had more apps, it would be fantastic. I would love to see parcers for all the top MMOs and I would love to see VOIP overlays as well. I just think Razer is handicapping this product too much. It's a shame too because having a useful LCD on your keyboard would be pretty helpful if used right with the right applications. It was a great thought, but from what I've seen of Razer and Logitech, they aren't following through with their product. To me it seems like all the companies coming out LCD keyboards are simply using it as a gimmick to produce more sells for something that is average. This keyboard and most the other LCD keyboards out there aren't worth the price.

If you want a keyboard that has macros, buy one that doesn't have an LCD. You'll save your self some money and be just as happy.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect keyboard

Pros: The keyboard let you an intuitive movement over it, the razerblade UI is an excelent idea, you can shut down your music, navigate on the web and install app specific for gaming or navigate in your computer whithout exit the game. An excelent product from an excelent company, Razer made it again

Cons: The razer blade UI has only a few apps but im sure that in the future they will add news, and the keyboard only have the american configuration, so in other countries that the keyboards needs special configuration maybe it dont be so usefull.

Other Thoughts: if you are thinking in buy it i commend you to do it, usefull for every game and practical for writing.

4 out of 5 eggsFixed - Working great!

Pros: This keyboard is great, I've been really enjoying it for everyday use and while gaming even if I had a lot of a problems at the beginning. The keys are easy to press and it keeps very quiet when typing/gaming. The new processing app is very handy when I'm checking for system performance!

- Stylish
- Resource Monitoring Application
- Customization of keys and track pad
- Lighting has a large variety of colors and a spectrum mode
- Keys are easy to press
- Quiet
- Comfortable

Cons: My huge gripe about this keyboard was for the price this keyboard wasn't a plug n play keyboard and until it was fixed it was a nightmare and annoyance that a product like this wasn't fully tested completely. To be honest it was worth fixing in my opinion, so to those that buy this beware that you may have one that needs some fixing as I've said so below in "Other thoughts" field.

- Not many apps, I wish they had more
- The num key pad app is sort of annoying to use, but I will be purchasing a key pad attachment
- Expensive
- Bottom
- Wrist rest gets dirty easily

Other Thoughts: So after weeks of troubles with this keyboard I have finally found a fix that has completely fixed the keyboard, so I'm hoping that anyone else that finds this will be helped in your issues for this awesome (After fixing) keyboard. My troubles were that my Switchblade UI had not been working, there was no display for me and my tactile keys were not displaying and my apps were acting up.

**NOTE: These steps worked so if you follow them to a T it should help getting your keyboard working again. Above all else this fixed all issues I had.

**1. I made sure my internet explorer was completely updated, made sure my Microsoft.NET and flash player was completely up to date.
**2. I launched my Internet Explorer, went into: Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab and clicked on Reset then restarted my computer.
**3. I uninstalled Razer Synapse 2.0 and restarted my computer.
**4. I re-downloaded and installed Razer Synapse 2.0, signed in and let it completely re-download all updates then restarted my computer.
**5. Started my computer back up and everything was working.

4 out of 5 eggsBest keyboard ever owned

Pros: Absolutely beautiful keyboard. The build quality is phenomenal. The wrist rest has a comfortable mesh shaped rubber coating. The laser etched keys prevent the letters from being scratched off the keyboard. Using the software, you can create new macros with the extra macro keys on the sides or reconfigure the standard keys to perform different functions. You can change LED backlight colors to your preference. you change the screens wallpaper. It has many apps you can choose from (facebook, youtube, twiiter) or you can use the touchscreen as a trackpad in case your mouse blows up (not good for gaming though, obviously).

Cons: As amazing as the keyboard itself is, I gave it 4 stars because its lacking in some areas. For starters, there's no number pad because its replaced by the touchscreen. There's an app that will bring up a virtual number pad however, the responsiveness of the touchscreen can be frustrating at times. I used to use the 1 and 0 keys on my old keyboard as macros but can no longer do that because it does not respond well enough while gaming. Even using the number pad for alt codes can be a pain sometimes because it doesn't register correctly between the real alt key and a virtual number pad running off an app. Almost all the apps that are available are outdated. The apps on this keyboard are pretty much still in beta. The only apps that i have found to either be up to date or function well are the virtual clock and the league of legends jungle timer (which is amazing, 10/10). Youtube works well but good luck trying to rewind videos without it locking up. Screen is 480p resolution and some youtube videos visually lag.You cannot go back to a previous menu in some apps (league app, Counterstrike) if you selected something by accident, you need to close the app completely and start over. The league app is not up to date and a numerous amount of champions are missing. If you have no internet connection or lose it for some time before your keyboard syncs with synapse, you cannot use the screen or the apps because the settings are saved in the razer cloud and not locally. The app that keeps track of your resource usage (cpu, ram, etc.) is a complete joke. It works but the app itself takes up an average of 30% cpu usage (needs to be patched or something). Sometimes the razer synapse software doesnt sync with the keyboard and i need to restart my computer to have it try again, a simple relog or restart of the program does not work. It has been better since some hotfix updates but it still occurs. the social networking apps are all out of date (by many versions). The biggest con is the price. The expert version of this keyboard (with no screen) is around $70-100 depending on whether its on sale. The extra $150-180 that you spend for the ultimate version is just so you can say to your friends that your keyboard has a screen on it. Lets be real. Your spending a lot of extra money just so you can change the LED color of the keys, have apps that are still unofficially in beta, and a not so responsive touchscreen. Its only worth the buy if you really want the beautiful aesthetics the keyboard will add to your setup.

Other Thoughts: Regardless of the many issues with the screen and apps, they keyboard itself is the best. Better than any keyboard i have used and I've been through numerous gaming keyboards from many brands over the last 15 years. Its a complete joy typing and gaming on this thing. I upgraded from a sub-par Thermaltake challenger pro (felt like typing on cheap plastic) which i had after my Razer Lycosa broke. I don't think i will ever need a different keyboard for as long as i live.. or at least until a huge change in technology.

1 out of 5 eggsAll show no go!!!

Pros: Looks cool

Cons: 1) Doesn't work.

2) Software doesn't work and has more bugs than a Motel 6.

3) You have to be logged in for features to work which I wouldn't normally care about but even after you log in, the DealthStalker Ultimate thinks that you are NOT logged in after a few minutes of use.

4) Limited apps available

Other Thoughts: Go with Logitech G19!!!

I just built a new $8000+ computer to replace my 4 year old 9000+ computer and thought that I could get something better than my old Logitech G19 but I was dead wrong!

1 out of 5 eggsJunk...arrived broken

Pros: Colors on keys can change

Cons: the switchblade screen has lines all over it and is defective, looks horrible. Best way I can explain it is a TV screen with a channel that doesn't come in...all static like. Touching it makes it worse.

Other Thoughts: hopefully new egg will RMA without a hassle.

5 out of 5 eggsIGNORE MY OTHER REVIEW

Pros: Keyboard is quiet, much quieter than the mechanical keyboards lol (Blackwidow Ultimate).
Switchblade is incredible, I love steam chat while in mid-game.
Full spectrum color cycling is a huge plus, extra M keys on the left side is great. This is like a combination of every other keyboard they made built into one. Screw mechanical keyboards you won't notice a difference in actuation or 'speed'.
The wrist grip is lovely.
Oh yeah did I mention the Switchblade UI is amazing?
:)

Cons: A few more apps and some more features for the apps, especially steam and steam games would be a huge plus and probably attract more customers.
I'm shocked there is no WoW app as that has more players than any other game in history.
Not really any legit CONS here because this keyboard rocks.

Other Thoughts: My original review referred to the bugs and errors I was receiving with this keyboard. I bugged the snot out of razer support and wasted their time. Because in the end my Windows was corrupt, after a fresh format and installation of W7x64 this keyboard installed without any problems and works as advertised.
