2 out of 5 eggsReceived Defective

Pros: Interesting design. Buttons feel good. I like the directional stick.

Cons: The three LED light that indicate what profile your using don't work.

My fingers are a little too short to comfortably hit all the buttons.

Other Thoughts: I may try to RMA this.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, but needs more buttons

Pros: Its very nice, but could have used more buttons and/or a slider for the position of the wrist pad, instead of just two lock in slots, to adjust it.

Cons: Not enough buttons, in specific, no buttons to cover the numbers (1,2,3,4,5)

4 out of 5 eggsRefurbished: RAZER Nostromo RZ07-00490100 Wired Expert Gaming Keypad

Pros: Nice feel. Being ambidextrous left handed helped. Definitely better reaction time.

Cons: Had to Download software. Not the easiest to find.

Other Thoughts: It will take time but a good investment.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Comfortable feet, removable joystick turns into a d-pad, blue lighting, all the keys are in reach of my fingers.

Cons: The button under the thumb is a little awkward but there's a button above the thumb that works great in its place.

Other Thoughts: This was the perfect compliment to my MadCatz MMO 7 mouse!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal!

Pros: Great price for a gaming pad. This is the first one I've purchased and found it easy to program and use. Even my 12 yr old daughter was using it like a pro very quickly. And since it's a refurb the price was what sold me, the newer versions are quite expensive compared to this one. I haven't had any problems other posters have reported, everything works like it should.

Cons: The only real con is the adjustment for the rest. I have large hands and it would work better for me if I could move it back just a little more. My daughter moves it all the way up and fits her fine. One other thing that I'd like to have is more keys. I use it to play BF4 and wish there were another row of buttons, there's more keys in the game than this pad has available. I bought this so I wouldn't wear out my laptop keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for playing 6-degrees of freedom

Pros: Ergonomic, won't loose my place on the keys and have to look at a keyboard, can move the bulky full keyboard away, looks cool, can use my thumb they way I would on an xbox controller.

Cons: The thumb stick is more like a gameboy 4 directional controller than an xbox thumb stick with it's smooth spectrum of axis positions and variable movement speed. An xbox style thumb stick with all the extra information it carries would have been preferable.

Other Thoughts: Expect to spend 2-3 hours building up muscle memory in your thumb before reaching your former glory. I enjoy 6 degrees of freedom games like descent and strike suite zero / infinity, but it was easy for my fingers to trip over one another when pulling complicated maneuvers on a normal keyboard. Now that I've gained proficiency with the thumb stick, maneuvering is very slick.

5 out of 5 eggsMy new Favorite Gaming Input

Pros: If you are looking for an input device to game with that is ergonomic, here is the device for you. This device is so great here are the pros:

- Price! You really can't go wrong to pick one of these up for the $45.00 price. And don't let the fact that it is refurbished turn you off, someone mentioned one of their buttons didn't work, I say send it back and get a replacement (This person probably don't want to be with out it for the duration of the replacement time :). As with most of my refurbished items from Newegg, this device works fully as intended.

- Super easy to program buttons and every button is programmable.

- Synapse 2.0 works like a dream to configure your button layouts, and even allows for macros.

- Slick button presses. While it is not mechanical this is roughly 1/3 the price of a mechanical keyboard. Don't let that scare you off though, the buttons are very responsive and feel smooth.

- This keypad extremely comfortable. I work all day as a computer programmer, I'm taking 2 classes in a graduate program, and by the end of the week, when I have my spare gaming time, my wrists are fatigued. This device is super comfortable and easy on my tired wrists, so I can relax and unwind.

- Slick design with blue back lighting which can be stitched off using the slider switch on the bottom of the keypad.

Cons: This is a large controller, and if you have small hands you may want to get something else. While it works perfect for me, I have seen others complain of the layout. If you have large hands or long fingers this will be perfect for you, if not you may want to look at the more expensive Orbweaver.

- Only 2 positions for the wrist rest.

- Space bar (thumb button) is a stretch. It takes some time to get used to. While I am at it, the button above the D pad is also hard to reach. I would not program anything too important there.

Other Thoughts: OK, I have been eying a razer keypad for more than a year, and when I saw this go on sale the other day, I had to jump on it. Since I have self diagnosed carpel tunnel from typing all day, I am always on the look out for devices that will make my gaming more comfortable. I started with the steel series Merc keyboard. This was great for gaming but was not so good for typing. Because I have so much typing to do between college and work, I ended up getting a second keyboard (MS 4000). I was using the steel series for gaming, and switching out my MS 4000 for typing. I though it would be nice to check out a game pad to allow for ergonomic game playing, and I am glad I did. This device works great for FPS, and until I finish college I am not going to try and get back into any MMOs.

The bottom line is if you are looking for something ergonomic that you can game with for hours and hours with no fatigue, you should check this device out. I have had my eye on the razer keypads at my favorite local brick and mortar electronics store (name removed to abide the no competitor policy) for over a year but I could not justify the expense (they start at 80 bucks). Now that I have tried this keypad, I know they are worth it. You can pick one up and see for yourself that these babies are totally worth the price. Be careful though, I already know what my wife is getting me for Christmas this year....an Orbweaver! Lucky for her through, she will be getting the nostromos as a hand me down. You won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this thing!

Pros: -So many buttons with so many configurations!
-Razer Synapse has a record feature that makes making macros a snap!
-The palm rest has two positions.
-Lights have an off, dim, medium, and bright setting.
-Can be set to DIM when the monitor is put to sleep.

Cons: A little uncomfortable. I have rather large hands and am going to be buying a wrist support to use with this. Even though it wasn't designed for people of my size, I feel that it would fit the average user quite comfortably.
The D-pad was more difficult for me to use for movement, however, it can be set up for other key presses.

Other Thoughts: I use this mostly for gaming with WoW. I am still learning to use it instead of the keyboard, however, it places all of the buttons I need much closer. I can now access ctrl, shift, and esc much more easily with my pinky. I have combined this with a Razer Naga and find it to be worlds better than a traditional mouse and keyboard. If you can only afford one or the other though, go with the Naga.

5 out of 5 eggsGood, only had it for a day

Pros: Comfortable in most configurations.
Software is easy.
No physical blemishes or scratches.

Cons: Top row can be a little difficult to reach for anyone with normal or smaller sized hands, my hands are longer than average and its still uncomfortable to reach the top row.
I use this for League of Legends and the top row was default set to QWER, which are the main keys in the game, and I had to remap them to the middle row.

WASD configuration is very comfortable, however.

Other Thoughts: Scroll wheel has only vertical scrolling, not horizontal.
Keys must be pressed firmly and straight down. you can have the keys pushed all the way down but still have to keep pressure on the key to have it actuated, even if it is still down. Just a overall problem with rubber dome switches.
