1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Keyboard - DO NOT BUY

Pros: Solid construction on the frame.

Cons: 1. Extremely dim backlighting. Even when it was set to its maximum brightness, you couldn't tell whether it was a backlit keyboard unless it was in the dark.
2. Very heavy key strokes. I do a lot of typing. And the very worst part of this keyboard was that I would have to go back over my work, and find the letters that did not appear because the key strokes just were not heavy enough.

Other Thoughts: This keyboard was HORRIBLE! I have worked with computers since 1982, and this was the very worst keyboard I have ever used. It has completely jaded me to anything manufactured by Razer.

1 out of 5 eggsBusted Keys

Pros: Using this with Razer's software to customize any and everything is really fantastic

Cons: The keys, most notably the 'E' key, is wildly sticky and inconsistent. It'll hit maybe 1 out of 4 times, and at that point it may hit 3 times. Just awful. Forums say that it is likely a software issue, so I'll try it again once in a while after updates are available and there have not been any changes.

Other Thoughts: Such potential, but entirely unusable

4 out of 5 eggsI think I got Roberto N.'s keyboard

Pros: Bought this keyboard looking to get something a bit better for my needs. Wasn't disappointed with the program-ability and the feel of the keys.

Cons: My keyboard exhibited a very similar set of issues as another review's, with the E key malfunctioning. Sometimes it would "double-tap" and I'd typee things likee this, other times it wouldn't work at all. Somewhat frustrating.

Also, I really don't like Razer Synapse, the software that razer's products use to "store your configuration in the cloud." You have to create an account with an email address, and in the month and a half I've had razer products that use synapse, I've had to reboot my PC at least half a dozen times for either product updates (yes, the updates to synapse require reboots) or because the settings reverted to the factory state and a reboot got the settings back to normal. Other then synapse, this is a good keyboard, with some decent macroing options

2 out of 5 eggsrazer anasi review

Pros: enjoy the feel of the keyboard
keys function well
on the fly macro recording

Cons: none if you get a good one, the one I got refuses to light up and the anansi drivers don't even recognize it as an anansi keyboard.

Other Thoughts: unfortunately mine does not light up. highly suggest getting the warranty on this one.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding!

Pros: Looks and operates factory new (comparing to my son's previous new Anansi purchase) at 1/2 the price! No manual or software shipped but no matter. ALL functions operate perfectly and extremely pleased with purchase. I did elect to go for the ext warranty for $7.00 giving me 15 mths total. Would recommend to go this route and save monies. At least in my case, win-win!! LOVE the cool colors, ye-ha...

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great buy and will look for refurb for future purchases. Thanks NewEgg!

3 out of 5 eggsGaming, Yes! Typing, No!

Pros: programmable keys are easy to assign with on-screen software;
the back-lighting is excellent and the adjustments are easy and intuitive;
well organized as I would expect from Razer; for gaming this is a very nice keyboard

Cons: Typing with this keyboard is an exercise in frustration. The keys require significant, positive pressure to register especially when using the shift key. The back-light color changes when the shift key is pressed. That's a clever feature, however, it may be that the change of color causes a delay that accounts for the difficulty with using the shift key when typing. That is just a conjecture though. If the software included a sensitivity adjustment for the keys this would be an incomparable keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I have owned a Razer Naga mouse for several years and love it. If I weren't having much annoyance with typing I would be equally ecstatic about this keyboard. I now have this keyboard, the Razer Naga and, my main gaming keypad, the Logitech G13. I play World of Warcraft regularly and now have more programmable keys for macros and spells than I could wish for. If only I could type quickly!

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard, Bad Refurb

Pros: Great for MMO's - Easy to reach side & "thumb" keys below the spacebar.
Smooth keys are responsive.
Razer keyboard software makes macros simple.
Slick lighting! Always a plus with a keyboard.
Braided cable makes them close to "cat proof."

Cons: Its got a stuck key after 1 week of use. My fault for buying the refurb.
It uses 2 USB slots.

Other Thoughts: Its worth the $50 refurb if you don't get unlucky and get a stuck key. It would have gotten 5 stars otherwise.
Be aware that this isn't mechanical so it's lower profile keys. I use the cherry mechanical Cooler Master SGK-4020-GKCL1-US Storm Quickfire TK Keyboard for my FPS gaming.

1 out of 5 eggsNothing refurbished about it. More like Repackaged.

Pros: Lighting colors

Fully programmable keys

I really liked the thumb buttons! They make the keyboard feel like a "gaming keypad product"

Cons: Keys feel a bit hard to press. \

Typing is not very smooth.

E Key doesn't work. This happens to be one of the the most important keys in video games ironically.

Other Thoughts: I read all the bad reviews on this keyboard so I figured I purchased a refurbished one I would have one which has been already repaired and working fine while saving a couple of bucks. I WAS WRONG. On the first day of use I noticed the E Key didn't work properly. Was this even refurbished at all? More like repackaged and resold Garbage!

I bought it and it still had the oldest firmware... Did anybody even repair this at all? Of course the firmware didnt even fix anything anyway....

If you buy this you might just get the keyboard I am sending back right now! In the same faulty conditions!
