This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: -Razer. (Nuff said.)
-Portable/compact
-Sturdy/solid
-Razer logo lights up green
-detachable cable from the back of keyboard

Cons: -None.
-None.
-None.
-Ninguno
-Nada
-Zip
-Zilch

Other Thoughts: -This keyboard has Razer orange switches not Razer green, so don't expect the satisfying clicking that you get with your regular mechanical keyboard. (If you didn't already know.)
-This keyboard does not have a number pad to the far right or the programmable macro keys on the far left. (If you didn't already know.)
-This keyboard is not a key lit keyboard (If you didn't already know)
-This keyboard comes with a really nice micro velvet type material carrying bag
-In my opinion, this keyboard is not the one you want for main station/ permanent rig use. This will be more for going to LAN parties/ going over to friends house, taking it to a clients house to fix their computer, temp set-up use, laptop temp use, etc.
-I got this item on sale and I had to jump on the deal... Razer products have not failed me and don't think they will ever... solid product.
-I have a Blackwidow Ultimate for my perm stationary rig set-up with green switches paired up with a death adder 3.5 (because I don't like changing what doesn't need change... I have a couple Deathadders 3.5 as back ups... I love those... I don't like the new ones because I like setting them up with my same settings for the FPS games I play, I need to get those 180 no scope head shots like a bawss.)

5 out of 5 eggsRazer Blackwidow Gaming Keyboard

This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Wow. That's all I have to say. Today I bought my first Razer product and, I just can't explain how, amazing, fun, beautiful and extremely, truly, WONDERFUL it is to finally be part of this wonderful experience. The Razer BlackWidow gaming keyboard is a keyboard for life! The all the extra keys work well, like expected, and the overall "feel" is comfortable.Thank you Razer for creating the products we all love and, not want, NEED in our gaming lives.

Cons: NOTHING at all

Other Thoughts: LOVE IT SO MUCH

2 out of 5 eggsPiece of Absolute Excretion

This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Detachable braided cable, nicely fitted carry sleeve, practical range of macro functions (on Windows), macro key and gaming key actually work, decent to use and anti-ghosting is nice. Somehow looks alright when clean. Rubber feet are good.

Cons: Detachable cable's keyboard connector end became very difficult to connect after about 2 months, need to twist it in specific ways very often. Made of extremely cheap materials, horrible keyboard height and a 1/4 of a hand rest that is completely useless. Plastic casing extremely easy to get dirty, hard to clean (eventually uncleanable even with methylated spirits), prone to changes in shape and horrible quality if seen from the edges. Whole keyboard feels cheap as excretion. Keycaps are horrible, cheap plastic, cannot get rid of oiliness after about 6 months. Stabilisers are the most horrible that I have ever seen, they have a bad fit and are pretty loose on most stabilized keys.

Switches: do not buy this piece of excretion, "Razer switches" but in reality complete knock-offs of Cherry and have no practical benefits to make up for the extremely horrifying quality produced by Kailh. The switches themselves feel like excretion compared to Cherrys from a Corsair, even some membrane gaming keyboards that I have used feel better than this thing. The switches are so bad that the statistics provided by Razer do not mean anything, because the first thing that you'll notice is that each bloody key feels different in terms of pressure, sound, responsiveness and just everything about them. And then you arrive at the stabilised keys, in particular the backspace (for me), where the piece of bloody excretion is half loose and feels like diarrhoea. Even the orientations of keys are really bad, on par with the horribleness of the keyboard height, which makes it easier to accidentally touch the surrounding plastic casing (especially the 1/4 of a handrest), which makes it extremely hard to clean as if you got soysauce into a brick wall.

The stabiliser rings on the space bar keycap broke off after 10 months of daily usage, making typing more of a frustration than ever before in addition to the general horribleness of this keyboard. And all these cons even make the font of the keyboard look bad.

Other Thoughts: Just don't. For mechanicals would recommend any recent & decent Corsair, CM Storm, Gigabyte, ASUS, possibly Logitech as well. However I do not recommend Steelseries for their keyboards, but their mice are quite amazing namely Rival and Sensei. Logitech mice are quite nice as well.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Lemon

This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Small and fits in tight spaces. Very clicky keyboard.

Cons: Some keys just dont work. Eventually the keys wear down and they wont register a lot of the time. This started happening after only one month.

Other Thoughts: In all this keyboard is worse than the 20$ keyboard I had before it. As a gaming keyboard it is almost unusable because the w key only works when it wants to. There is no way to fix this issue but to replace the switch.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything it says it is

This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: This keyboard is very reliable, doesn't rely too heavily on drivers (read: you won't find input lag because of Synapse), and portable. It also has a distinct feel to it that is very comfortable to me.

If you make sure you understand you're buying a keyboard with no num pad, then there really isn't a con to this thing.

Cons: None, if you make sure you know what you're buying.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for the buck!

This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: It's a mechanical keyboard with a good tactile feed back for everyday typing and gaming. This keyboard is very flexible and agile in terms of the tasks it can be used for.

Cons: It can be loud at times, but buying keyboard dampeners for this makes this keyboard the best keyboard for work/gaming.

Other Thoughts: Try the keyboard without the dampeners and if it's too loud you can always get it but I think by far, this is a 2015 best investment for me.

Won't go wrong with this portable keyboard and quality if definitely there.

4 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard for price. Fix of repeat delay may be requried.

This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Compact design. Good quality for price.

Cons: Key labels are OK, but highly stylized, e.g. the & (ampersand) and @ (at sign) is ugly IMO.

Repeat delay is way to short for casual typing. Unless you are a very quick typist, performing simple key combos, such as Ctrl-C, is troublesome, as keyboard will begin repeating Ctrl until you press C. For example, in Excel, this is quite annoying as it toggles conditional formatting. Tweaking the repeat delay in Windows Control Panel > Keyboard solved this.

Other Thoughts: I should have learned that buying a gaming keyboard would have short repeat delay by default!

1 out of 5 eggsKeys keep repeating

This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Small size, quiet, less expensive than similar tenkeyless mechanical keyboards.

Cons: LOVES to repeat keypresses. I continually have to press the backspace key whenever I use this keyboard. I bought this keyboard for it's quiet factor (just had twins, everything needs to be quiet) but it's a waste because I have to type 3x as much because I have to continually hit backspace to delete all the extra letters it adds by itself.

Other Thoughts: Avoid this keyboard even when it's on sale. The extra keypresses it adds will ruin your game or whatever you're doing with the keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsRAZER Mechanical Gameing Keyboard

This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Small, Responsive, Braided cable.

Cons: Little stickers for the keys.

Other Thoughts: Its a very responsive keyboard. The lack of numberpad lets your hands stay closer together increasing comfort while gaming. The only issue I have with it is that you can feel the letters under your finger tips! It drives me crazy! I thought that the letters would be flush with the keyboard, as it has been with my previous keyboards, but I was mistaken. If you can get over that, (And the lack of a numberpad) then this is the keyboard for you.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

This review is from: RAZER Blackwidow Tournament Edition Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: quiet keys
compact design
solid build
good weight

Cons: may not like small size, or no backlighting, or lack of extra keys, but all these cons are really just extras, so if you're like me they aren't cons at all
