5 out of 5 eggsamazing

Pros: very sturdy, great feel. Keys are slightly larger than standard keyboard, but that's a huge pro for me since I have larger hands. very comfortable, lots of features

Cons: charging mouse can be a little tricky

Other Thoughts: wonderful, held up very well under 4 years of constant use. Still in great shape, though wish it held up a little better. Still, best keyboard & mouse I've ever had.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: The mouse is excelent in every way. Holds charge very well, has excellent range and fits my big hand perfectly.

Cons: Too bad the keyboard does'nt have the same quality the mouse has. Very flimsy legs,( one has broken), keyboard screen is difficult to see, no lights indicating number lock, scroll lock, etc.. The most glaring problem is it's unreliable connectivity. It randomly drops connection becoming auseless paperweight. And, reconnection is sometimes impossible, requiring the use of a standard or wired keyboard. I am tired of dealing with the problems and am retiring this keyboard and am looking elsewhere for a reliable unit.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointed

Pros: Keystrokes are very smooth, easy to type with, great for the games I play... when it works.

Cons: So after about a month of using this product I started having issues with it. The mouses 4 and 5 buttons next to the thumb, just decide to not work sometimes when I'm doing anything really. I then have to reconnect the mouse and they work fine for a few hours then go away again, all while the other mouse buttons and functions work fine. The keyboard is a whole different story. Sometimes it just doesnt want to work. When I boot up my computer it could take up to 20 minutes for it to start typing so I cannot enter my password even to get into windows, I have used the on screen keyboard to do that. When I check the software that Logitech gives with this it tells me the keyboard is connected perfectly fine but it still doesnt type, then after about 20 minutes of waiting, all of sudden it decides it wants to type now. I dont know what it is with this, I have owned the mouse before without any issues. I have never given a logitech product 1 egg but this is such a nuisance and a pain in my ..

Other Thoughts: I just built this rig and everything runs fine except for this. Very very disappointed especially coming from Logitech.

1 out of 5 eggsLogitech MX 5500

Pros: None

Cons: I have owned this product for 2 years and I will be the first to tell you it is the worst
mouse and keyboard you can purchase. I have tried to use it off and on for the past two years and end up
using another Microsoft set instead.

1. The keyboard has no feel to it. Feels just like plastic with no touch or feel at all. You may think you hit a key but no.
2. The keys feel like they are sticking and rubbing on each other.
3. The receiver has to be plugged into the front of the computer for the mouse or keyboard to work.
4. No range. 3 feet at most.
5. Mouse rechargeable battery is gone. Holds a charge for maybe an hour.
6. Mouse tracking is terrible. I have had optical mice work lots better than this.
7. The only sure way to charge the mouse at all is turn it off and then put it in the charger.
8. Logitech used to be a good product but no more.

You would think that this item would at least work for a year or two.
I have gone to Microsoft and have had no problems at all.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 1- Easy to set up
2- Good signal
3- Works in most surfaces
4- Application scrolling program

Cons: 1- Keyboard battery life

Other Thoughts: Overall, a good set to purchase if you are planning to sit far from your PC. If you are a gamer and need responsiveness, you are better off with a wired set, but, of course, this should be obvious knowledge for a gamer, no?

2 out of 5 eggsMX5500

Pros: None

Cons: Originally bought this for my husband. Keys kept sticking and very hard to type with. Bought him a different one and I took this one over after spilling coffee on my favorite Logitech G15. Now I do not like this one either. Key letters have worn off and very hard typing. Now looking for a better keyboard.
Oh, the mouse did not last very long that came with this keyboard.

Other Thoughts: Still looking for one comparable to my G15 which I loved and had used for years of good service.

5 out of 5 eggsStill best of Wired / Wireless or Bluetooth that I've used

Pros: I've now had my Logitech MX 5500 Revolution Combo for over 3 years. This is by far the best Keyboard / Mouse Combo I've ever used. I can't really think of anything bad to say about it! I really like the feel of the keyboard when I press the keys, it feels solid. The mouse has just the right feel in my hand too! The Bluetooth definetly has better range than the RF Wireless type keyboard/mouse. I have a 26" LCD and I can sit back in my chair 10'-15' without missing a keystroke.

Cons: On my first Combo the Legs broke, right away. Logitech Replaced the whole Keyboard / Mouse Combo at no cost to me. Can't really find a Con in that kind of service!

Other Thoughts: Wish the mouse worked on Any Surface like the Anywhere MX Mouse. When moving away from my desktop (sitting back 10'-15'), holding the keyboard is ok, but finding a place to use the mouse isn't always easy. If this mouse worked on any surface (as the Anywhere MX Mouse), this situation would be much better. I have the Anywhere MX Mouse and use it with my laptop. I like how this mouse works almost anywhere you want it to. I really don't like the way the Anywhere MX Mouse fits in my hand compared to the 5500 MX Revolution Mouse. If Logitech would combine the Anywhere MX Functionality with the Shape & Features from the 5500 MX Revolution, it would be the best mouse in the world!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The mouse design is very nice on the hands when you are doing lots of work behind the PC. I use my PC for design which takes up a lot of my time. The keyboard is also designed well and comfortable for work. The key strokes are so soft. No hard clicking. LCD screen displays various information depending on what you have running.

Cons: The only con that i have is the frequent interference between my wifi and the bluetooth. The mouse sometimes is unresponsive or slow to transmit the movement that is being done

5 out of 5 eggsDecent keyboard

Pros: Well' its lasted atleast 4 years at this point. Thats right, they are still selling this model 4 years later with a markup, it shouldn't be more then one Benjamin, what I paid for it 4 years ago.
It has been excellent, bluetooth connecting (mostly) fine over the years using the included software.
After 4 years, not a single key has lost its numbering or lettering. I need to clean some of the keys from dead skin cells (or whatever that slight haze is) but besides a small clean, this thing could pass off as new. Note, my comma is slightly worn, I think it happened from transportation.

Mouse felt very accurate back in the day, and lasted pretty well. Scroll wheel still feels and works amazing. .

Cons: Ok so after 4 years, here is what will wear out.
The logitech logo on the mouse.
The key's feel a little sticky, or kinda stuck and sometimes you have to push it a little hard but then it goes... could be dirt or something underneath as its hard to clean (well haven't really tried minus can air). This is really annoying but I am in the market for a new keyboard after 4 years.
The matte black on the right side of the mouse has slowly started to wear starting this year.
Also, the rubber where your thumb is, there is a small whole down to the plastic worn away where my thumb rests exactly from using it so much.

Last the mouse. It felt extremely accurate, but there were days where it felt like it lagged, and sometimes jitters and sucks for Tribes Ascend. So I use a wired one for gaming. I don't believe it was always like this. Also, the non removable battery life has shortened to only 3 days.

At four years old, they should update it slightly.
Backlit screen.
More application

Other Thoughts: It's lasted 4 YEARS!
That's good in my opinion. It'll still last but I want something that feels a little crispier, and better response from the mouse, but I blame both of these due to the age of the keyboard.
Plenty of features, just wish there was more updating.

Software issues I've had included having to resync sometimes, or the fact that regardless of what I do I don't get the Setpoint software to load my configuration at startup and I have to load the App manually. Overall though these were just on a few systems. Most of the time, I didn't have a single problem.
