4 out of 5 eggsworks well

Pros: works great at close range. easy to set up.

Cons: none, if you use it fairly close to the receiver.

Other Thoughts: it only works up to about 10-12 feet from the receiver.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate To Previous Review

Pros: Was able to get in touch with Logitech and they are shipping me out a new unit. Logitech customer service was very understanding and courteous. This particular desktop unit has been discontinued, so Logitech upgraded me to the next model at no additional cost.

Cons: None - all is well that ends well!

2 out of 5 eggsBad "U" Key

Pros: Good price, good keyboard feel, good range.

Cons: None, except mine came with a defective "u"key.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to complete a computer setup for a customer of mine. Afte setting everything up, I failed to notice the "u" key was faulty. Customer called me two days later and told me the "u" key was not working. Called Newegg to RMA, but since I had discarded the box I was told there was nothing they could do. They gave me a number for Logitech, but i could not get through after repeated attempts. I am disappointed that Newegg could not help me with this one, especially since i have spent thousands of $$$ here. Chalk one up for local retail stores!

3 out of 5 eggsSimple, easy, but...

Pros: Cheap
wireless
nice feel

Cons: Mouse eats batteries very quickly
No light for capslock (is much more annoying than you might think)
no palm rest
finicky sensor that decides not to see the mouse sometimes

Other Thoughts: It's a great keyboard for simple computer use, has easy wireless and takes almost nothing to set up and use.
But, it also has no light to indicate that capslock is on and that gets really annoying. The receiver is also picky about where it is placed, so you will occasionally find that keys stay pressed or the mouse never stops clicking. The mouse went through 2 or 3 sets of batteries in about 5 months.
I eventually replaced it but am keeping it around for backup (which it will do well)
Love the brand, not so much this particular product.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's cheap and considering the constant use I put it through its remarkably battery efficient.

Cons: The receiver is HUGE and wired (2 foot wire). The receiver is sort of flat on one end and half an inch fat on the other end. Its shaped like a V. It is not in the form factor of a thumb drive. Despite the big receiver its not that good when used at more than 5 feet from the receiver.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor contrast to a 10yo Logitech combo

Pros: -Single USB connector for the wireless transmitter
-Mouse has the good quality I expect from Logitech
-Batteries seem to last a long time
-Accidental keyboard-glitch game death can be hilarious

Cons: -Keyboard is glitching after roughly one month. Computer was built as a dedicated gaming machine; kbd has seen heavy use of the WASD cluster, mainly long holds on W, and short holds on A and D. It is now intermittently registering keypresses across the board. Statistics from Steam suggest roughly 90 hours (yeah, I know, no life) of playing time, all in FPS-style games.

I'm not a keybanger, and it's rare if I double or triple-press a key (usually, the mouse takes the multipress). Disappointed that this keyboard couldn't take the use.

Other Thoughts: I have a ~10 year old wireless k/m combo from Logitech, used for everything from old point/click style games to modern FPS, and it has never glitched as bad as this keyboard.

Old style was AA in kbd, AAA in mouse...this set uses the opposite.

Logitech has made some great products in the past, I plan to contact them for warranty as well as a recommendation on an alternative.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: easy to set up
batteries last long
feels good to use

Cons: the range on them isn't what it says, at least not mine since i'm about 2 feet away and it didn't pick up most of the time.

Other Thoughts: I noticed that you needed to have the receiver pointed the same direction you are or else it wont pick up anything except slight movement

5 out of 5 eggsWorking Great

Pros: Really great wireless keyboard & mouse. It has a really good price, and I am really happy with that. The keyboard is really nice and Quiet, and every key is working great. Th mouse is really good too. It tracks even better then my old wired mouse. But I do not have a pad for it. Overall its a great mouse/keyboard for people that do not need a high end one.

Cons: The product, none. For me it is a little shakey, but that is my desk.

Other Thoughts: I do not know how long they will last on one charge, but it should not be too bad to go to best buy and get some AAA batteries. Also, I have many rechargeable AA batteries. So that is no problem for me.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Purchase

Pros: This thing works great. I bought one for myself and my Dad liked it so much I bought one for him. Great value. Everything works as it should and Windows 7 recognized the hardware and downloaded the drivers faster than I could sneeze. It was working before I could even get the driver disc into the DVD drive. I just put the disc away without using it. Range is great. My office is located in the far corner of my house. I tapped keys on the keyboard and went into the other room. I continued doing this and it registered until I was about 35 feet from the computer... 2 rooms away (no line of sight). Can't beat that for the price.

Cons: Batteries instead of plug and charge.
No light to indicate Cap/Number lock. (see other comments)

Other Thoughts: After using this keyboard for a few days I downloaded the setpoint software provided on the disc (and product website). This displays on the monitor when CAPS or NUM lock is activated. This software also warns you when the batteries are getting low. I'm a fan of having as few programs installed on my computer as possible, but this one is useful. Great purchase for the home office or media pc user. Probably would want something with more features for gaming though.
