2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the money

Pros: Looks good. It's got a nice illumination on it.

Cons: I had this for about 6 months until it broke. I was cleaning the buttons back and forth with a damp paper towel and one of the keys flew off. It would not go back on so I finally had to throw it away. Since getting it I never liked the way the buttons felt either. I was hoping it was like a laptop keyboard (easy to press, low profile, and real definite click) but these keys were squashy and I could not tell if i clicked the key all the way when typing fast sometimes. Also with gaming you cannot press to many keys at the same time. I got stuck on a game because I could not run and jump at the same time. I had to put my old keyboard back on just to continue the game.

Other Thoughts: I thought I would spend the extra money and get something nice with this keyboard. I was disappointed from the first time I used it. The free keyboard that came with my desktop is better, and that's what I am using now.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Easy to see, thin, etc...

Cons: Function 1-12 are not lit

5 out of 5 eggsStill works perfect after 6+ years

Pros: Still going strong after 6+ years of daily use! It's been splashed with an untold number of beverages, full of crumbs at times, but has never let me down. I've read it's not good for gaming, yet I've played literally hundreds of hours of games with it, works fine for me.

Cons: Dust seems to stick to the front "palm pad" easily. Could have something to do with it being worn from its age though.

5 out of 5 eggsLegendary Logitech Quality

Pros: This is perhaps the best keyboard I have ever used for office productivity. The build quality is legendary, and the laptop-style (scissor/membrane) keys offer the best feedback, and efficiency of stroke for hours of typing - think coding, development, whitepapers etc... I use this keyboard both for an iMac, and PC desktop.

Cons: Not for gaming. Certain key combinations are not possible with this keyboard e.g. when playing Wolfenstein. I bought a Corsair Mechanical keyboard with all the anti-ghosting features specifically for gaming, but have gotten so used to typing on laptop keyboards (Thinkpad, MacBook Pro) that I cannot type on a mechanical keyboard with their long strokes.

Other Thoughts: I hope Logitech continues to make this keyboard for the PC, and wish they will make an Apple specific version - since most Apple keyboards lack a backlighting.

5 out of 5 eggsHurray! Logitech still makes these..

Pros: I've been buying this exact model of keyboard since, forever.

With an 85wpm typing speed, I can be a noisy typist in a cubicle farm until I discovered this beauty.

Noisy coworker banging away? They get the mysterious "midnight keyboard swap". Best $75 I could ever spend. Once I had financial assistance from others...

Logitech has an excellent replacement warranty for that one time when a keycap fell off (no idea how they get them on there in the first place.)

Thank you Logitech.

Battery-powered keyboards are so over-rated unless its for my iPad.

Cons: Ok, in the dark, the function key glyphs are back-lit, not the actual F-key numbers. But, I can count...

Other Thoughts: Nothing else like it without a laptop attached.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for almost everything

Pros: Backlit keyboard
Media keys

Cons: Keyblocking

Other Thoughts: Again. This is the second one i've bought and I really do enjoy this keyboard. The only main reason why i bought this again is because I loved the first one to death, at least, until it met with the floor.

Lastly, there is keyblocking trickery going on with this keyboard and most likely all of the non-gaming keyboards from logitech, so if you intend on gaming with this, just becareful. It does not really hurt too badly, but it can be a pain in some games where you need W + SHIFT+ SPACE to function.

2 out of 5 eggsDo NOT buy if you game

Pros: NIce feel, illumination and generally good functionality. I don't use the INS key so the large DEL key is nice.

Cons: I bought this for my high-end PC which is where I do most of my gaming and the W+SHIFT+SPACE combo doesn't work.

My LAPTOP lets this work, my $10 cheapie keyboards let this work so why doesn't this high-end keyboard allow it?

If you read the various tripe from Logitech, it's because I didn't spend enough money by buying a specific 'gaming keyboard'.

Yeah....Logitech products will no longer be in my product searches going forward. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this one; it'll probably go on my docking station or something.

Other Thoughts: First seriously negative review I've posted on NewEgg in some time. I really really wish I had read all the one-egg reviews before I bought it. They all say the same thing. Shame on me, I guess.

5 out of 5 eggswife loves it

Pros: bought one 5 years ago for my wife to use w/her laptop at home, she loves it. last week our cat barfed on it and it quit working, so need to order a new one. glad they're still available.

Cons: minor con: scissor mechanism is finicky, if a key ever pops off it takes some fiddling to get it to re-seat properly.

Other Thoughts: just a super great keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsClean design, very slim, backlit keys are a great touch

Pros: Very slim design, key touches similar to laptops, backlit keys are awesome, adjustable brightness feature, logitech reliability.

Cons: When it gets dusty, that's why all hell breaks loose on the resting pad. The material they use is similar to a matte-type surface. Makes wiping away dusts off your keyboard a chore. You need to really scrub at it to get all the dust off or it starts smearing. Pretty nasty.

Other Thoughts: Other than the cleaning issue, everything is great. I will recommend it to my customers.
