2 out of 5 eggsBeware if you are a gamer

Pros: Beautiful keyboard. Very solidly built. Decently small footprint. Just looks like a work of art. If you never play games and are not concerned about key ghosting, then this keyboard is the best I've ever seen, even for the higher price.

Cons: If you ever play games, this keyboard will fail you dramatically. I have used "non-gaming" keyboards for 15 years and have never experienced the problem this keyboard poses. It has ghosting/key lock bad!!!!! For example, most games require you to press "w" to move forward. You might also need to press "shift" to run. If you try to press another key on the left side of the keyboard while pressing W and Shift keys, like "space", FAIL. After searching the web, there is no fix, period and Logitech does not feel like they need to address it in a future revision.

Other Thoughts: I'm really disappointed with Logitech. I've used their products for years and years. I think they made a poor design choice to save some money, didn't think anyone would notice. We'll from plenty of postings online, people are definitely aware and it will give me great pause before purchasing a Logitech device again without extensive research prior. Luckily Newegg has an amazing RMA program and I was able to return it and purchase the microsoft sidewinder keyboard which works great.

5 out of 5 eggsTypes like a Dream

Pros: Keys are responsive and they light up. Love typing on this keyboard. Light weight and lite, but still durable and stable when typing. The low profile of the keys make typing easy as your fingers float around the keyboard.

Cons: My fingers love typing on it so much that sometimes they type things I didn't tell them to!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsStop looking, this is the best keyboard.

Pros: Springy keys; perfect size; elegant design; classy backlighting; media keys, volume keys, and shortcut function keys; comfortable yet compact. What's not to like?

Cons: I can't think of a single problem with the keyboard, except maybe that its white/orange lighting scheme doesn't match my blue PC lighting scheme.

Other Thoughts: I have read accounts of people noting that this keyboard suffers from a design flaw in that it has unusual blocking of keys--such that n, t, and ' are blocked so that they cannot all be depressed in too short a time, so really fast typists have issues typing the word "don't." I type at about 105-110 wpm and I have not noticed this problem, so unless you are a REALLY fast typist I doubt you will notice it either.

5 out of 5 eggsBest keyboard I've ever owned

Pros: Key presses are effortless and key depth is perfect. Very tough keyboard. Illumination looks good, but is actually functional and stylish; keys are easily visible with it turned on or off (unlike many other keyboards). Fully featured as far as buttons go, forgoing gimmicky macro buttons or knobs/sliders that break. It does have volume control buttons and a fn key to add more functionality to the "F" keys. Its sleek and low-profile in many ways.

Have had this keyboard for over 3 years and have had absolutely zero issues yet. I'm a Computer Science major so those 3 years have been CONSTANT typing.

Cons: Not really much of a con as this was meant to be a keyboard first and foremost and I'd rather have the slim form factor, but it could be nice to have a built-in couple of USB ports on the keyboard for peripherals. Still, I'd gladly reach the extra 7 inches to my tower to plug something in given how good this keyboard has been.

Other Thoughts: When I have a little more money I'm going to buy 20 of these and store them so if I accidentally run over one with my car, I'll have another. Although, I wouldn't be totally surprised if it still worked exactly the same after being run over...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: Great Keyboard. I purchased this for the illuminated keys and they are great! I also love the tactile feel of the keys. Works great in Windows 7 and Ubuntu (even the illumination).

2 out of 5 eggsDied after 5 months

Pros: worked great while it lasted, nice illumination, sleek design

Cons: after working great for months it just started messing up, some keys would not work at all, while others would randomly type a different letter and not stop. I have also used it on 2 different computers both running Windows 7 Ultimate and the same thing keeps happening.

Other Thoughts: its not worth the headache.

4 out of 5 eggsBang for the buck.

Pros: Nice case. Fans are really nice keeps cool even though I can only connect 2 fans to the motherboard but still stays cool.

Cons: I would like just a little more space to be able to run power supply cables better.

Other Thoughts: For cost I would highly recommended this cast!

5 out of 5 eggsLogitech Illuminated Keyboard

Pros: The backlit keys are very easy to see in full darkness without being overbearing and distracting. If you're using the monitor at a darker setting in a dim room and the keys are distracting there's an illumination level controller.

The keys are very quiet. You can hear yourself press them but it doesn't sound like a typewriter.

Keys are mostly white, but the function keys, print screen and pause break buttons are orange, providing just a little bit of colour.

Provided software allows you to disable buttons that most people wouldn't use very often like caps num and scroll lock, insert, windows key, etc..

Like with laptops the function keys have an alternate function with the FN key. Default behaviour is the F keys, so as a plug and play keyboard it works just like a normal one.

Very heavy and sturdy feeling.

As someone said the lettering font is different and very nice. The letters are large, squarer and bolder. The look is great. Almost aggressive.

Cons: The function keys are faintly labelled with the F and number. Rather, the focus is the symbol representing the alternate function. While the number is still visible, people who are VERY unfamiliar with the function key placement might have a slightly harder time in the dark. On the other hand, anyone who needs to use the F4 key often at all can find it blindfolded.

The insert, delete etc keys are placed around slightly differently than the keyboard I was using before. Backspace button is a bit small so at this moment I've hitting delete instead of backspace. It's not taking too long to get used to, however.

Other Thoughts: I was primarily looking for a backlit keyboard, favouring a wired one since I wouldn't have to deal with charging batteries. I've got a good cable management setup and since the keyboard doesn't move like my mouse, I really don't care if it has a wire.

I wanted to stay away from the gaming keyboards since those things are too geeky for me by personal preference. I don't need 18 more function keys.

All the "Dominate the opposition with advanced tactical control and faster tactile command actuation. Launch devastating assaults even in low lighting!" stuff turns me away. It's just another keyboard, guys...

This sucker, on the other hand, wouldn't look at all out of place on your desk at the office. It's a good, professional-looking keyboard that exists for the sake of being a good keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent but a few oddities

Pros: Flat keys, backlit keys, three levels of illumination (or off completely). I type very fast on this keyboard and it isn't a struggle to type on like my last Dell keyboard - which hurt after a few minutes.

The design is extremely thin and the rubberized wrist wrest is fairly comfortable and I feel a nice addition to the rest of the keyboard.

Cons: There are a few oddities that deserve my four-egg review.

First, the "F" keys don't light up. They have icons on them that light up, the actual letters "F1", "F2", etc *do not* light up. This also includes the Print Screen and Pause/Break buttons. Again, the icons on them light up, but not the actual letters or words that say what they are. Not sure what Logitech was thinking there.

Other Thoughts: This is a great keyboard and I would recommend it to people. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the function keys that don't light up.
