5 out of 5 eggsWill never go back to a keyboard

Pros: After dropping mine (which still works perfectly), I decided I needed to order another G13 as a back-up. I've owned my G13 since 02 Aug 2011, and for the past 2.5 years this is still the single-most important purchase that has enhanced my gaming experience. It's durable, comfortable, with easy-to-use software. There is simply no way I could go back to using a keyboard for gaming (and I own a gaming-specific keyboard in the G510). There are more than enough buttons for the majority of any games you may want to use it with. A number of reviewers say that they don't find the joystick to be of use; I use the joystick for the majority of profiles that I create, because at the very least it's the equivalent of 5 extra buttons. The keys have a solid feel, and the "home" keys (WASD equivalent) have indentations that make it very easy for me to know where my hand is and where the other keys are in relation to those home keys. I've had hands-on experience with both the Nostromo and Tartarus from Razer, and in my opnion, the G13 is superior in every way.

Cons: It *will* take time to adjust to the G13 if you've been gaming with a keyboard all your life (as I had). You also need to be prepared to take the time to create profiles to use the G13 with different games, because although there are pre-existing profiles made for many popular games. odds are pretty good that not every one of those profiles will be to your tastes. While the LCD screen is a nice touch, I never use it to display any in-game info; in the rare cases that I do use it, it's just to see what the time is, or perhaps to monitor CPU and memory usage.

Other Thoughts: If you're willing to spend the time to get used to using the G13 and to create your own customized profiles for each game you play, you'll find this to be a worthwhile investment.

5 out of 5 eggsLogitech G13 Gamepad

Pros: Ease of setup. Plug it in, download the latest driver from Logitech website, and it works. It immediately scans your game library, and offers pre-made profiles for any matches it finds.
Some of these matches didn't match my personal preference, but that was an easy fix using the included software. It's pretty straight forward, and with the game pad, I can put my left arm where it feels comfortable instead of holding over the keyboard. I sit straighter at my desk in long gaming sessions, and I'm less fatigued now.

Cons: I'm sure that if I use it long enough and with a wider assortment of games I'll find something, but right now, nothing comes to mind.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: As expected, it is amazing. Works like a charm!

Cons: I have to get used to using my left hand!! Haha!

Other Thoughts: Newegg did an excellent job, it was really well packed, was shipped quickly, nothing to say.

And I must say, I bursted out laughing when I saw they put a Gain sample in the box. It was a nice thought that made me happier than happy.

Will buy again...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy for MMO Gamers.

Pros: This thing feels solid when you place your hand on it, and does not move around. Feels good to use with out cramps over long gaming sessions. Software is also easy to use and setup. Back lighting is nice and bright, but can be turned down.

Cons: Didn't buy one before now!

Other Thoughts: Great for MMO gaming. Love this thing in WoW, GW2, and Wildstar.

4 out of 5 eggsFor enthousiast

Pros: Software was easy to install and run. All programmable buttons.

Cons: Little bit hard to be confortable because the space between buttons is not like a standard keboard. Mechanical buttons is harder than a standard keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice.

Pros: Very comfortable.
Enough buttons.
Easy to use.
Logitech Gaming software makes setup very easy.
RSS Feed and apps are convenient.
Stable and heavy.

Cons: Joystick rarely used.
Small variety of apps.*

Other Thoughts: Getting lost on the keypad in a fast action game is possible. A bump or sticker on certain keys would fix this instantly, since the indent is hard to feel on the fly.

The joystick could easily be replaced by a scroll wheel or D-pad, I would use either of these more than the joystick.
On weight, this thing is solid. Light enough to move if I need space, but heavy enough to be still when I need it to be.
*I was unable to find many apps, but I honestly did not look for long.
I first used this for Borderlands 2, and the buttons next to the joystick become extremely useful. I am very happy with this gamepad.

4 out of 5 eggsTakes Getting Used To

Pros: Lots of buttons
No internet connection required
Durable design
Useful LED display
Macro Programming

Cons: Takes lots of time to get used to
Awkward thumb stick placement
Minor troubleshooting issues

Other Thoughts: I think it's worth a buy, but you'll need to be willing to put time into creating new profiles for different games. The thumb stick doesn't work the best for movement in games, but it's still useable. As for the minor troubleshooting issues, sometimes the button selections doesn't register, but the fix can be as simple as unplugging the board and plugging it back in. Most of all I like the display. I often play at night, and having it set to the date and time gives me an easy thing to glance at to check the time instead of bringing up the Steam dashboard. It's worth a buy if you're willing to take the time to get used to it, but I can't tell you how it works compared to the Razer Orbweaver.

3 out of 5 eggsAlmost...

Pros: Lots of buttons. Looks nice. Feels solid. Good programming interface. Good profile management. Good response time.
The software was a big perk after dealing with the Nostromo's.
It does not arc like the Nostromo so your hand moves around more freely.

Cons: Not a Nostromo - does not easily toggle between modes, no scroll wheel, often too many buttons, four way toggler is surprisingly easy to get wrong.
The G13's approach to modes is somewhat useless since there are just too many keys on the board.

Other Thoughts: It's easy for your hand to get lost on the G13. I had to take a glue gun and splat down bumps on the keys to remind my fingers of where they are.

I really and truly miss the scroll wheel on the Nostromo. Oh well, all the game pads are dropping it. Stupidity can be contagious when the price is right.

I'm not as happy as I was with my old Nostromo speed pad - but it broke and the newer models are not as impressive.

2 out of 5 eggswill never use it

Pros: great, easy to use software.

Cons: Just about the only problem is that it's very uncomfortable. i don't know if it's just the size of my hand or what. leaving my palm on the rest, i am not able to reach the top corner buttons. it's much easier for me to just use the keyboard. And the back lit keys are never bright enough on logitech products.
